Memory's Skyscraper is a tall building in The CityThat Never Was. Located near the fallen castle, the building kept watch over the residents of the Dark. Roxas was battling a legion of neoshadows when Riku appeared at the top of the building, and when the two began their duel.

In the dead of the everlasting night, the neon lights which litter the ever expansive city flicker then simply shut off. Now in the complete blanket of darkness, a door rises up from a long crack in the ground in front of the Skyscraper. Slowly it rises up from the crack, a dark aura pulsing forth from it, it form becoming more and more detailed until finally, it clears the ground completely. The door itself, rocking slowly to the left and right, as if swaying to a unknown beat begins to rattle. Harder and harder it rattles until finally with a loud crack, the doorway splinters open, waves of dark magic spraying forth like a bursting dam. After a few moments, when all has settled, the ever cloaked form of the ever Mysterious Dark Sage passes through the archway. Yes, he could have used a simpler method of entering this realm, but that would of been...too normal. With a simple snap of his long bony fingers, the neon of the city flickers to life again as the door behind him sink back into the ground beneath him. "Ah so long since I been back here, though all must return 'home' at some point I suppose" Reaching into one of his long sleeves, he pulls forth his cane and begins to slowly walk the streets, paying no heed the the ever lurking heartless around him.

As the neon lights flickered on top of the skyscrapper stood a figure. The shadow of the figure was casted down onto the top of the skyscrapper as the figure looked over the city. As the wind blew so did the figure's hair along with her wings. Her eyes were covered by a piece of fabric that matched her necklace. Her light blue outfit covered only her arms, torso, and feet. Revealing a tattoo on her shoulder. She didn't mutter a word as she looked down at the ground and her wings tucked in.

One drop hit the ground solemnly....And then another drop..Followed by a great shower of rain that tapped the ground rapidly after another across the city streets. Soon there was a light rumble of lightning, causing the neon lights to flicker dimly every once in a while. The thick clouds of darkness then began gathering around the skyscraper clutch by clutch until they reached a concentrated state of pitch blackness across the skies. As this happened the loud crackles of thunder boomed violently across the night skies followed by streaking bolts of lightning that illuminated the skies a velvet red. Without warning there was a crash of crimson lightning that struck the ground ablaze, leaving a crater filled with crimson flames dancing about. After a while of whipping around wildly, the flames' rate of motion then slowed down until they could motion could barely be noticed. Ember by ember they then began to meld together until they lost color and solidified into a figure a hooded figure dressed in an all black figure suited down with a black coat that hung from behind him in the rain. "Well...Its been a while now hasn't it old man? I guess the time has finally come now. And so it begins." Though there was nothing but darkness from within his hood, his ruby like crimson eyes were the light that pierced through the darkness as if looking into the very essence of the whatever they set their sights upon.

The theatrics seemed to barely phase the Old man, as he continues his slow pace forward. "Yes, it seems that all must be set into motion. Once my business is concluded here, I intend t o make a small...recruiting trip to a new world. I see....potential there. Much like what I saw in my apprentice. But first..we have something unwanted here. If you excuse me I think I will take of it." And with a flicker of a neon light, the old man was gone, however the One who dared to walk the path of the light would feel a very dark presence closing in around her, almost as if it were suffocate the very life from her frail body. She would begin to here whispers of dark promises and power, whispers to have her turn her back on the light and embrace all that is in the dark. Then in a flash of lightning in the sky, there hovered the Old Sage. Flying no more then a mere stone throws away distance from her "You who walks the light, you have no place in this realm unless you choose to walk the path of the darkness with us. So I give you this one option. Join us by choice, or join us by none" With that, the Sages magical aura began to pulse, his cane slowly sliding up into one of his sleeves, disappearing as sparks of energy began to rotate around his body.

Hinata felt pressure around her neck choking her as she wrapped her hands around her winged-staff, she turned her face towards the Old man behind her as if she was looking at him. Inside her body a loud pluse could be heard as the marking on her arm spreaded. "I was just investigating the area, i have no purpose with you or the darkness." she stood up spreading her wings. She put her staff up in the air, "Protect" as a shield went around her.

The old man chuckled lightly, if his face were visible might be able to see him smiling a small wry smile "Little girl, you are already over your head. I am very interested in how you got here and I assure you that there is no way out. You see, the train does not run here and I am sure you have no ship as well as no rescuer to come to the fair damsels distress." The With a clap of his hands, the sparks around his body joined together in a fury of thunder, forming a great spear of lightning "I am a fair man...well maybe once.. Your safest chance will be with me in my care. I assure you, I am the least of your worries." The spear slowly raised up above his head, it jagged point slowly arcing towards her small figure. "Let this be your only warning" With a motion of his hand, the spear of lightning struck forth with amazing speed and fury, striking at her wall with immense electrical power."Judgement Bolt!"

Her pale face was lit up when the Judgement Bolt. As it struck her she landed on her back. She picked herself up, "I know other ways to get out of here." she said towards the Old man, "And i have no need for a man to help me." what seemed that she was looking at him. Her staff glowed as she pushed it up in the air, "Cure." as she slowly recovered her health. Her staff's wings pointed towards the Old man, "I would suggest that you would stop here if you value yourself." she said coldly.

"You know...I think you're right. I will stop here." *with a mere snap of his fingers heartless of every sort and kind seeped up from the building itself. Rising up in masses, coming together, mixing with one another until finally, four Dark Sides come forth, standing high above her from all sides. "Though that does not mean you will be let off easy. For you see little girl. Let me let you in on a tid bit. I am one of the most powerful beings in this realm or any other for that fact. I am not one to gloat much, but you have given me such a wonderful opportunity, this old man just could not help himself. " With a sigh he just waved an arm "Now then. The time for warnings has ended, you will now perish, pity. You would of made a fine apprentice..with some work." With that, like a wall of never ending darkness, the four Dark Sides come cashing down around the young girl, the Old Man sparing nothing for her. "A Pity...Such a Pity."

She turned her head around along with her body doing a 360 degree circle being surrounded by heartless of everykind. As they began to merge with each other, then she heard the Old man. "You think i care about your power? You have it all wrong." as her wings spread open as she covered herself into a feather shell. As the four dark sides came crashing down onto her nothing happened.

The Old Man had nothing to say to the meager retort, he had no need. "Little girl, your in my realm, my home, the place where the power of the Darkness is at it's greatest. Did you believe you would come and go?" The Old Sage laughed a hard laugh before twirling his hands one another. As he did so, the masses of the of Dark Sides began to spin and spiral around the feather shield. Their speed increasing, moving faster and faster until it was as if the shield of feathers were caught up in a maelstrom of darkness. The Darkness towered up, higher and higher it went, blocking out everything on the building until it finally it all came crashing down around the feather shield, enveloping it and it's user in a wave of darkness. In that instant, The Dark sage snapped his fingers, the darkness all around the girl and her shield, locking firmly in place, becoming like a great black stone, entrapping her with in. The Old man then just sighed, turning his back and slowly starting to float his way back down.

As she was formed into a rock, her wings were somewhat missing some feathers revealing some of the bone. As her face was slightly snickering. The marking on her arm had lit up again. The rock that she was in began to crack and eventually she was freed. "I don't think you are through with me." she cocked her head slightly "I'm still alive." she sneared as she positioned her staff up in the air, "Blizzarda." then snow fell from the skies and wind blowing rapidly making her hair blow in differnet directions.

"Silly girl. If it's magic. You will fail" With a mere wave of his arm a wall of heartless sprouted forth around him, shielding him from the onslaught of cold. Of course many of them fell, but it was not as if he cared to begin with "This is how you properly do a spell." As his feet touched the icy ground, a massive circular spell seal grew out. Along it's borers, mystic runs etched themselves in into the seal, making their way into the center "You see girl, a proper spell takes proper time. To simply cast it is like having the pie before it's finished." The dark seal at his feet began to rotate clock wise while a inner seal rotated counter. "You should of stayed in the rock and became a heartless peacefully. But then again, none of you light bearers do. " He then began chanting a lost tongue, the seals at his feet crackling with dark energies, bolts of mystic energies beginning build and strike out at random, scaring the buildings all around. All while he chants, the heartless around, continue to hold up their wall, keeping him safe from the amateur isk Blizzard. If one were smart, this would be the time to run. fast. GM hint.

She turned her head towards the other direction and began to ran off the building with her wings wide open and jumped off the building. As she turned her body towards the Old man she saw the destruction his spell was doing. Her wings were flapping as fast as she could, but the damage that was done to them in the darkness had done its damage. Her wings, damaged and couldn't keep them up she then decended to the ground at a fast speed. She landed on the ground on her back knocking her out from the shock.

The girl might have fallen, oh but the power the old man was putting out surely did not, but mid chant, his tongue change to something completely different. The power surges changed from bolts to more of a crashing pulse. With each pulse the rotation of the seals slowed. As the Old Man chanted faster, the seals pulsed again and again, becoming ever slower. Heartless all around began to rise up in response to the magical call, the call of the dark magic until finally, in one final chant the spell was finished. With a clap of his hands a streak of darkness shot across the ground, traveling at amazing speeds, flying straight for the girl until it finally came upon her. In one movement it rose up and crashed over her body and began a slow process of dragging her form down into the darkness. It could of gone faster, but there would of been no fun in that in case the light bearer happened to awaken.
