Post any and all suggestions for a June/July Event!!
By waiting until then it gives us all time to stock up on GOLD LOL
also I am a total idiot when it comes to setting up code for these things so we will need someone who is good at it to PLEASEEEEEEE set up a

Also we do not have access to the GGOA Mules but we do have access to Metals Mule so i think we should use that one set up the thread
We also have a Contest Junkie that Drako and I set up and i think we should use her to post any ongoing contest such as a Random Number or Dice contest or a TekTek contest for the whole event the winner of the event would get a big prize (All guild prize supported)
You may of course do your own games during the event if you want (your prize supported) like we usually do ( i could possible arrange for some small prizes(500-2k from the guild fund for if you contact me a day in advance one prize per person per day)

Okay...seriously. *ponders meaning of serious* Got it! Howz about rather than a "4th of July" type event, more of a "summer" event? There are many, many gaians that are not in America, so the event should possibly be more generic.

Yea, the fourth of July idea wouldn't really work I think because of the nationality thing, me included. >w<
A summer event would be really really fun. :3
And I'd totally be up to doing the coding and everything. ^^

I'm not crazy about a July 4 event for the reason mentioned above. biggrin
Other possibility:

Maybe mid-June for the event -- 10th-24th? (if we want to try to keep to Feb, Apr, June, Aug, Oct, Dec schedule for events)?
Other possibility -- although not everyone is graduating, this is the time of year for graduation. What about a graduation party? We'd have to do it a little quicker probably -- maybe June 6-20th? Not sure of a message though, but it's a suggestion. (I personally like the sunshine or barbecue better). biggrin

How about something summer vacation based? Maybe a message could include something like....
I went an vacation and brought you back this souvenir. If you want to take part in our summer vacation..or go on vacation with us...
or
I've been having fun in the sun!
or whatever
We could have themes from great vacation spots around the world. It could be incorporated with the fun in the sun theme.
Some vacation spots...
Paris & London
Walt Disney World
Yellowstone National Park
Jamaica
Hawaii
Italy: Rome, Venice
Maybe some game could be played involving naming ten well known beaches or a tourist outfit tek tek contest. If we do vacations and fun in the sun it is much less limited...the first person to post a souvenir from Disney or Paris or where ever, wins...could be pictures from photobucket or gaian items that are relevant. I went to Brazil on vacation and came back with this man eating plant, he he. I went to Jamaica and came back with these sandals...you get the idea.
Just brainstorming.

OHHH i really like CLaire's ideas ... you know those Tshirts they used to have ... My parents went to (whereever) and all i got was this lousy...t shirt LOL those were fun ... that could be a possible Message
This idea has a lot of freedom in the way we can do things and i like the idea of the Tek Tek contest smile

I love the vacation spots idea!
Making the banners and stuff would be fun for this. xDD
I also think we should have a lot of contests and stuff in the thread.
We could all pitch in to get gold for prizes, or if Metals_mule has donations we could be able to use that for contest prizes. :3

I REALLY love the "lousy t-shirt" idea too, but some might be confused at seeing the word "lousy" right off the bat (and think they are to gift worthless/trashy stuff), or....I don't know if they would be so familiar with that elsewhere in the world? Is that just an American kitchy thing...don't know...

Wouldn't it be cute to dress our avis and put them in the pictures (i.e. a British rocker in front of Big Ben; Cinderella at Disney World; a hula girl in Hawaii, etc) for our banners. biggrin
