The Outpost

Several miles south from the main Brotherhood base is a small compound in one single underground structure referred to by locals as the Market place.

This compound is a small Brotherhood outpost set up as a local gathering point for the town merchants to trade there wares with one another without having to risk traveling the open wastelands for to long.

The outpost it self was used as a resupply station for brotherhood soldiers traveling further south, but when the local Towns and villages joined the brotherhood the outpost was re-fitted and used as a Market and local gathering point for the locals easing there travels and giving the Brotherhood convenient access to supplies such as food and other goods which the villagers wish to trade for medical supplies and other various goods, and a local recruitment office for where the Brotherhood head hunters work locating and collecting new recruits from the surrounding towns and villages.

The base it self is nothing more then a large steel plated Garage door leading into an underground Plaza with a few commendations for the local Merchants and a security office housing around fifteen Brotherhood soldiers and one paladin at all times.

The Outposts outer Defenses consist of a small electrical fenced area circulating the entrance and four automated turrets with the directive to kill any non brotherhood members when activated. On top of the Entrance into the Outpost is a small tower able to house five soldiers at a time equipped with four M60 Machine guns pointed in each direction(North,West,East,South) and one small locker housing ammo for the weapons.

Recently the Outpost has undergone heavy construction, adding a larger perimeter to allow a small portion of settlers to move in within the brotherhood walls. As an added security percussion an entrance checkpoint has been erected forcing all incoming travelers to identify them selves and declare any goods they bring into the plaza.

The Outpost it self is usually teeming with life and activity and is a favored gathering point of Brotherhood soldiers who wish to enjoy them selves as several small home made establishments have been erected using wooden planks and sheet metals to create crude shops.

Some of the more Reputable establishments include which the Brotherhood Recommends are.

-Sal's Bar : A nice little establishment built by a man named Sal Kincher and his son Joshua, the bar it self is leased to him by the brotherhood, as he uses one of the many excess barracks littering around the underground base that is no longer in use by the brotherhood.
(Where he gets his booze from is still a mystery currently being looked into ninja )

-Sasha's Place : A young Mechanic by the name of Sasha runs a small crappy looking shed, where she deals in mechanics and a repair man, selling old car parts and other junk, she's also good at taking 'things' apart and putting them back together and for some reason making them work better. And she has a knack for finding rare parts which has proven useful in the past.

-The Slush Pit : Not a very nice establishment, but a decent one!, the man running the place is called Greg and his "establishment" is a well known place among the less "friendly" inhabitants. We recommend to avoid it all together unless your not afraid to get a little roughed up, in which case they have good booze for a reasonable price, be warned as the inhabitants have shown a severe dislike for Brotherhood Members in the past. The Bar it self is built out of wooden planks and a few spare sheets of metal and is housed outside of the Brotherhood's fenced area and so the Brotherhood Laws don't apply so be warned.

-The Road Side Inn: The Inn is a Brotherhood Barracks leased to a man Henry Adams and his Wife Melissa, Together they run a small bed and breakfast offering lodging and food to travelers during there stay.

-The Silver Bullet: The Bullet is a local Gun shop / Gun smith owned by Malcolm The Ghoul who sells and trades various weapons and ammunition to Caravan's and Guards and Travelers, while his weapons wouldn't even get close to matching it self with Brotherhood standards, he has been known to on occasion to carry a decent weapon or two in excellent condition or good spare part or other accessory.

-Crazy Dan: Dan runs a local thieves den(Old 80's slang name for an underground Gambling den), not much to say about the establishment. Built out of a large tent and a series of different gambling tables and roulette and other games. He uses his own Casino currency, while gambling is not forbidden by Brotherhood laws and decrees it is still frowned upon and active Brotherhood members are not allowed to gamble during active duty.

-The Hat Trick: Is a local brothel run by a older woman going by the name of Rose, There establishment is a small shack built out of sheet metal and an old bus, outlining there establishment is several smaller tents and huts.
Brotherhood members are forbidden to enter this establishment while on duty, the punishments are severe.

Rules and Regulations.

-All normal Gaia rules apply of course.
-No weapons are allowed to be drawn against another unless in self defense against an armed aggressor, or while serving as brotherhood police force.
-Theft is prohibited and anyone caught stealing will lose a hand.
-Fighting may occur in some areas but is forbidden and should be reported.
-Public intoxication is forbidden and should be reported
-The Brotherhood is LAW here and all crimes should be reported directly to the officer in charge.
-Any one failing to follow these rules will be subject to being detained or punished without warning.

(Still under light construction.)

((Continued from the Psychiatry Office))

Lypse entered the Slush Pit, not failing to notice that it was lit at this time only by the sunlight that seeped in through the various cracks and openings in its makeshift walls. Not a single eye didn't turn to watch her as she strode up to the bar and sat down on a stool before Greg. "Got any Rotengen Rum?" She asked with a smile. Greg looked her up and down, examining each and curve of her body. His face showed a mixture of confusion and approval as he pulled a warm bottle of her requested liquor from beneath the counter and slid it to her. Reflexive as ever, Lypse caught the bottle and set its cap against the table top. Slamming down on it with her palm, the top popped off. Lypse lifted the bottle to her lips and took a swig of the glowing liquid. She was about to take another when a voice behind her 'interrupted' her enjoyment of the liquor.
"Hey babe, what's a pretty girl like you doin' in a place like this all alone?"
Lypse turned to face a man around six feet tall with a muscular build, possibly weighing in at 190 lbs. She smiled at him mischievously before offering her reply. "Looking for a little fun, but I'm not certain that you're man enough to supply that."
The stranger chuckled, then responded, "Baby, I'm more man than you even knew could exist in a single person." Lypse couldn't smell any alcohol on his breath, which gave her hope that she didn't have to worry about the effects of intoxication interfering with her studies.
"I'm hardly convinced..." Her eyes narrowed and the left half of her lip curled upward in a crooked smile. "Perhaps if you could help me out with a little something I'm attempting to accomplish, I might be able to make you into something man enough to handle me."
Smiling, the stranger considered her a moment before replying, "What exactly you got in mind?"
The Initiate took another swig of the Rotengen Rum before answering his question, pausing a bit to tease his curious mind. "How would you like to have more Afterburner that you'll ever need, as well as the physical capacities to match any man?"
An eyebrow raised, "I'm listenin'"
"Come back with me to my lab, I've got a new drug that'll make you a better specimen than any of the men here will ever be, the problem is that my superiors won't let me put it into practical use until I've shown them just how it can improve a human being. I believe that you would be a perfect subject to reveal the unbelievable benefits of this drug."
The stranger, proving himself not to be an idiot, cocked his eyebrow further, "What if this drug doesn't do what you think it will?"
Lypse smiled, "Trust me, it will."
He believed her.

As they slowly rolled up to the entrance to the Outpost two armed guards approached the vehicle and gently tapped on the window. "Welcome to the Outpost Ma'am, business or pleasure?" Asked one of the guards as soon Alex rolled down the window.

"Where here on official brotherhood business." Alex replied as she swung the door open without giving the guard a chance to get clear knocking him on his a**, climbing out of the drivers seat Alex glanced at the guard before shaking her head as she walked away heading for the entrance to the underground facility.

"b***h.." The guard exclaimed quietly as his partner helped him back on his feet.

Lucimorth watched as Alex politely introduced herself to the locals and got out of the car. Lucimorth followed her and stopped by the afflicted guard. "It's ok, she just did not get a good 'humph' if you know what i mean in a very long...LONG while," He smiled, "you should go and ask her, sje is really good."

Lucimorth quickly followed Alex who was out of earshot. He caught up and said "Alex, you are my hero!"

Alex sighed slightly at Lucy as he caught up with her, and swiftly grabbed him by the collar and pulled him closer. "Where looking for a mechanic of sorts, she goes by the name of Sasha. Apparently she owns a shop down here some where, some Intel we received a few days ago suggested that she might have gotten her hands on a Pre war artefact and the brotherhood would be very interested in having a look at said artefact. Not sure how where going to find her though, the outpost is like a maze of make shift stores and god knows what else." Alex said just as the large mechanical metal doors slowly cranked open revealing a long badly lit ramp leading downwards into the Outpost it self, as the two entered into the underground compound the doors started to creek behind them as they slowly shut behind them with a loud thud followed by a loud metallic noise as the large metal beam that kept the doors locked slid into Place.
"I hate this place.. It makes me feel claustrophobic.. Tight space, lots of people, bad ventilation. It's a freaking death trap waiting to happen in my opinion." Said Alex just as they walked up to the second door that lead into the heart of the underground complex, the main hall the heart of the outpost.
"Ever been here before?" Alex asked throwing him a quick glance to see if he was listening.

Zeo ran through the entrance yelling, "I'm with the Brotherhood!!" and continuted onward until she reached Alex and Lucimorth. "I'm sorry I'm late!"
PostPosted: Mon Aug 18, 2008 4:30 pm

Lucimorth looked at Zeo, he carefully observed her arrival and promptly bust out laughing. He composed himself several moments later and greeted Zeo with a smile and a salute.

IT was indeed interesting how Alex was going to react ot it, no less curious than the mysterious form of transportation that brought Zeo here only a few minutes after they drove here in the humvee.

Zeo smiled bashfully and saluted him, wandering to herself about Alex's reaction towards her late arrival. She hoped she didn't miss anything important.

Sighing heavily as she did not like to repeat her self as she glanced over at the late arrival. "I'll stick Zeo with you Lucy, fill her in would ya? Oh and next time Zeo try not to be late." Said Alex as she was twitching slightly inside her armor trying not to snapp in the middle of a heavily guarded bunker with no violence tolerance.

"either way split up and find me that damn girl will ya?" Alex said beginning to sound a little frustrated as they stepped through the last door into the main hall that was teeming with life as people ran around screaming and shouting.

Lucimorth

Lucimorth seemed to be caught offguard with the assignment. He looked at Alex with an air of hate and not so much hate at the same time.

"Good thing I don't listen to Alex, I recorded the whole assignment on the pip boy." He said to Zeo while approaching her with his pip boy.

"You can just listen to it off of my device" he turned the pip boy on and let Zeo listen.

The pip boy whirred for a second, a microphone was turned on and the device began to play back the recording:

"Where looking for a mechanic of sorts, she goes by the name of Sasha. Apparently she owns a shop down here some where, some Intel we received a few days ago suggested that she might have gotten her hands on a Pre war artefact and the brotherhood would be very interested in having a look at said artefact. Not sure how where going to find her though, the outpost is like a maze of make shift stores and god knows what else."

The device stopped, flickered and went offline. "Thats it, got it?" Lucimorth asked after the playback.

Zeo nodded and whispered lightly to Alex, "I'm sorry.."

"So I'm wih you, alright.."

She looked around at the crowded town, "Any leads on where this Sasha might be? This place looks impossible." she whispered seeming to be saying it more to herself than Lucimorth.

"Beats me..." Said Alex as she scanned the area looking for a map or bulletin board to help direct them to where they needed to go, not finding one Alex growled quietly inside her helmet as she walked straight into the crowd and grabbed the first person she found that looked like he knew his way about.
"Where looking for a mechanic going by the name of Sasha where can i find her?" Alex said her metallic voice sounding almost threatening, the man obviously intimidated by the by her large imposing figure stuttered. "I-i don't k-know i'm just a trader, please don't hurt me!" The man begged as Alex sighed and let go of the man's arm as she once again looked around for a minute before she made her way back to the rest of the team.

"We better split up or this will take days, first one to find her radio in and we'll track you by pipboy." Alex said as she spun about and waded into the thick crowd and disappeared.

Annette departed from the bar, those behind her watching her, not without a bit of nervousness. Whether it was because she was a ghoul or because she was a Brotherhood Soldier was unknown, but she didn't care either way. Making her way through the crowd she spotted her squad leader stopping and questioning one of the many occupants of the outpost.
Maneuvering through the thick crowd she made her way silently to the woman and stepped up beside her as though she'd been next to the warrior the whole time. "Hello Alex." She spoke softly, "What exactly brings you to this shithole?"

"Huh?" Was the only word that escaped her lips as she stopped to stare at the strange ghoul who suddenly decided to tag along, just as she was about to shoo the disgusting critter away she noticed the brotherhood emblem on its armor and sighed to her self.
"I take it your the new.. "recruit".. Annette was it?" Alex asked as she inspected the frail ghoul standing before her, while she did not approve of the brotherhoods decision to let these things into the brotherhood she knew better then to openly voice her opinion about it.

"It doesn't really matter." She said dismissively as she continued elbow her way through the crowd assuming the ghoul was still on her tail.
"Where here to look for an artefact supposedly in the possession of a young female mechanic by the name of Sasha, she's supposed to have a store or shop of some kind down here. And the General being the p***k he is decided to waste my time by sending me to go fetch this so called artefact that's most likely nothing but a piece of old junk. Did you not get the Message via your pipboy? Isn't that why your here?"
