The finals of the Jounin exams now sit before us.

In the blue and green stripped corner we have Manndar! He hammer wielding ninja! Who is known for being a taijutsu specialist and for being completely off the wall.

In the green with pink pokodots is Aona! A weapon master who can use almost any weapon to her advantage. Her cunning is second to none and her traps are well known.

Will Manndar's brute force overtake Aona or will her cunning outwit the hammer wielding nut job?

We shall find out!

Manndar was there sitting on the grass waiting for Aona to arrive. He made sure he was here first, so Aona couldn't set up any traps before he arrived.

That introduction was a little bizarre because the blue zipper hoodie Manndar had bought specifically for this match was made out of lightweight material, not his normal cotton, and it had two parallel dark green stripes going from his shoulders down to his wrists.

Manndar had a whole bunch of surprises for his angry, little friend. But, his spit trap started to leak, so he threw it out before he arrive.

((this battle really needs a theme.))

((The Decisive Battle on rock organ))

Aona walked out from the entrance to the arena, eyes set forward in total focus. She'd abandoned the cloak from her earlier matches, knowing that she'd need every ounce of mobility she could muster against Manndar's speed. Her swords and daggers sheathed in their places, she grabbed some of the many weapons scrolls she'd brought, dropping or throwing aside many of them. She stood partway from the center of the arena with her arms loose at her sides, her eyes quickly darting from side to side before refocusing straight ahead. "Sorry I'm late..." she said just loud enough for Manndar to hear, obvious derision in her voice.

Manndar couldn't bring himself to look Aona in the eyes, so he turned his gaze towards the grass. Hearing Aona's voice caused every bit of malice and regret that he experienced prior to the jounin exams to come flooding back to the forefront of his bconsciousness.

"I see no reason to accept your apology, when you refused mine." Manndar retorted with a tone of melancholic frustration while he was looking at the floor.

Manndar the walked towards Aona and stopped 3 feet in front of her, and then he cracked his knuckles and looked up with a purely blank facial expression, but his eyes said it all. They shined with guilt and loathing with a small glint of rage that was slowly being kindled since she gave Manndar the proverbial 'tearing a new one' the likes he had never heard.

"I'm surprised that you decided to show up...."

A mirthless smile cut across Aona's face as Manndar looked away, and she made a quick series of handsigns as Manndar approached her. "I wouldn't miss a chance like this..." she said darkly, "not for anything. So this time, your better not make any stupid mistakes, not if you value your life." By the time Manndar looked up at her, she was holding the final handsign for her jutsu, catching Manndar's eyes in direct contact.

Kaleidoscope Vertigo Jutsu

The moment Manndar's eyes met Aona's, his vision would suddenly spin like he was on a turbo charged Tilt-a-Whirl ride. He would be instantly disoriented, and if he didn't compensate quickly he would quickly become nauseous, dizzy, and eventually be unable to even remain standing. It was one of the few genjutsu that she'd been working on, having first attempted the concept back when she followed Chaos to his old home on that mission...

Her hands flew to her sides, gripping the daggers at either side. She dashed forward, attempting a crossing upward slash with the dagger in her right hand, flecks of a vile green liquid dropping onto the ground around them as she did so.

Manndar's vision instantly began to whirl. "That p***k!" Manndar thought as he brough his hands together for the tiger handsign.

Aona should've known better than to try such a blatantly obvious genjutsu on Manndar. When he taught at the academy as the chakra teacher, one of his lessons was on releasing genjutsu, so he had to practice it and get good at it in order to teach it well.

"Release!"

By this time, Aona's dagger swing was in mid action, and Manndar still hadn't reacted to it. As the dagger came closer to its destinated strike, Manndar reached across with his right hand and grabbed Aona at the wrist like a vice grip.

Directly after that, Manndar brought his left leg up and kicked out straight in towards Aona's knee cap.

Aona hadn't expected him to react quite so fast to the genjutsu, but she did expect something like this. She released the dagger in her right hand, leaping up just enough to land lightly on Manndar's outstretched leg. She pivoted, turning her body to the right. She relaxed her right hand and twisted her wrist around to pull it free, and slashed at his right shoulder with her other dagger. With his right arm across his body, he wouldn't be able to get either hand around quickly enough to block it.

The moment Aona was about to land on Manndar's leg, Manndar pulled it back in and kicked straight out again and this time for her stomach. She was in the air, and Manndar still had her hand. Manndar was hoping to force her to drop her other dagger by breaking her ribs.

Still gripping the dagger between her thumb and forefinger, Aona clapped her left hand down on Manndar's right shoulder, her wrist still in his right hand. Kicking her legs up, she quickly flipped up to a handstand, using Manndar's own body as a platform. She twisted her wrist and hand around to keep Manndar's right hand locked across his body, then threw her weight back down knees-first, attempting to drive both of her knees into Manndar's jaw.

Manndar had no idea what the hell Aona was trying to do, so its just best to take out the trash.

As soon as Aona started this mess of aerobics, Manndar grabbed Aona's other wrist with his other hand and turned towards the closest wall and threw her at it as hard as he possibly could.

"yaaaaaa!!!"

Aona grinned cockily as she was sent flying, now free from having to deal with Manndar's superior strength up close and personal. The walls were more than far enough away for her to compensate, and she skimmed her right hand along the ground as she flew, taking hold of one of the scrolls that she'd dropped before planting her feet on the wall that she hit. Clinging to it with chakra, she quickly released the weapons in the scroll, tossing it forcefully at an angle into the air.

Senbon erupted from the scroll as it unraveled, spraying the area around where Manndar stood. The senbon had the same anesthetic that she'd coated them in for her last fight, and would numb and weaken the area around where they it.

Manndar was standing there until the scroll was thrown. While in the air, Aona couldn't change the scroll's target of where it was supposed to be fired. So Manndar ran towards Aona and to the left. By the time the senbon hit the ground, Manndar was about three inches out of their target zone, so they barely missed him as he ran by.

Manndar retaliated with his own scroll. He pulled it out of his outside right pocket and tossed it not in the air, but at Aona, releasing Manndar's own barrage of weapons. Ten sledge hammers with exploding tags on the heads. Yes folks, it is time for a Big Bang Wake Up!

Aona pushed against the wall with her legs and chakra as her senbon missed, sailing through the air and away from the weapons. She twisted through the air, quickly releasing three barbed kunai in a spread around Manndar's location before landing on her feet behind the trees to the side of the arena. She brought her hands together, detonating the kunai shortly after they would embed in the ground around Manndar, spraying him with super-hot shrapnel.

Manndar's hammers had crashed into the arena wall and exploded, sending a tremor through the stands as the explosion took a fairly big portion of the wall with it. Besides that, no harm was done to the audience.

The kunai landed around Manndar and exploded. In a puff of smoke, the hot metal shrapnel was found imbedded in a section of arena wall, and Manndar was shielded by other wall debris by laying on his back and making handsigns. Aona had jumped into the woods which meant only one thing.

"Traps!" Manndar thought as he finished his handsigns.

Soon, a black rain cloud formed over the woods' edge closest to Manndar. Manndar got up and threw a zippo lighter into the woods, and suddenly, that part of the woods was on fire and spreading rapidly. Manndar was going to burn Aona out of there.

Aona moved quickly through the forest, making a few hand signs to form a water clone that ran from the fire, keeping cover the whole time. The water clone took a trio of the exploding kunai, dashing out across the arena to get an angle on Manndar and tossing them, pulling the ripcord timer so that they'd detonate around Manndar in mid-air.

At the same time, Aona made a break for the pond off to the side, draping a scroll over the branches of the forest canopy as she hid below the surface of the water, breathing through a reed like one of the many that naturally grew from the pond's shore.
