My band is going to play "Holiday" by Greenday as one of our halftime shows. I'm so excited!!! I already listened to the music and it's pretty good for being a marching band replica of a rock song.
Not only will it be fun to play, but I'm sure our crowd will like it too. Not just the band parents, but, you know, everyone else who comes and just kinda nods with the beat of the band to a song they've never heard before.
We usually have at least one half time tune that is a well-known song. So far in my high school life, we've played "Celebration," "Cheeseburger in Paradise," and "Baby Boy."
What well known tunes have you guys played, if any?

In our pep band my favorites have been "Iron Man" and "Give Me a Break" (that's right. . . the Kit-Kat song)
My field show freshman year was a Queen show (which I have mentioned). The songs in that were "We Will Rock You" "Bicycle Race" and "Bohemian Rhapsody", all really famous songs.

We're playing How Far We've Come for parades this year, our band director just picked it for the title this though.
