I've always wanted to see "Drumline" because DUH it's about marching band. I finally saw it and I thought it was really good! Most band geeks aren't gangster, but hey, every movie has it's flaws.
My whole family watched it and my older brother, who's all "anti band," even liked it. After I bragged about how cool band actually was for like an hour, he said "well, the drumline is cool, but since you're a clarinet, you're a nerd."

the movie wasen't bad but it lost its flair after a whille our director would play the movie over and over when he wasen't there. We had the n movie almost memorized back in middle school.

I thinkit definently shows the difficulty of being a band geek like us.
It has to be one of my favorite movies ever made because of this.

I love the movie, but I can't stand the marching in it. "The music will be hard, but the drill will be even harder" yea right. They just stood there and danced for most of it. But other than that I absolutely adore it. heart

A couple of things could have been more reallistic(for example, all of the judges were on the sideline, not the press box) but it was good, considering its the only marching movie out there.

Dude...my drumline saw that movie during music class one day and we couldn't stop laughing. It was sooooooooooooooo fake. I mean don't get me wrong about how it shows how hard we work. But, you can't act with drumming. Anyone can watch that movie and see that he actually isn't playing what you hear. Snare music doesn't have pitches. We got the actual music and it isn't that bad. what they show of drills, warmups, and disapline is no where near my dl's.

Our school was talking about the drumline movie. And our director let us watch it for about a week of marching band class. We loved it.
