In the anime, its been over 500 episodes yet Ash's pikachu still hasnt evolved to Raichu. Ash gave pikachu like 3 ample tries to evolve but turned down each of them. I think ash should just take a thunderstone and smash it into pikachu's face. Then itll be a super sweet Raichu. But if Pikachu hasnt evolved yet, i doubt it ever will. And was Ash's Pikachu ever at some point prior to the beginning of the show a Pichu? Should Pikachu evolve?

Well, it would definitely be stronger, and even more unstopable than it already is, but I doubt it'll ever happen. Cause let's face it: Bitches love pikachu

I personally like Raichu a lot better, but Pikachu and Ash go together too well. Plus, Raichu's be too big to ride on Ash's shoulder or head.....

Look, Raichu may be completely cool yet cute, however, Pikachu is the sweetest little pokemon in the whole series. Besides, Raichu couldn't sit on Ash's head razz

But Pikachu's been around too long for it to just evolve, I think they're gonna keep him the same the rest of the way through Pokemon. And no, he started out as a Pikachu because Prof. Oak experimented on him and Pichu was unknown to the Kanto region.

With it being level 88, I think it is safe to say it will not be evolving.
Besides, with it not evolving it shows people that there actually is an option to not evolve your pokemon.
It is unknown whether or not Ash's Pikachu was at any point in time a Pichu
