The sun was high in the mid afternoon sky, it clearly visible as the cloudless sky seemed to smile upon the earth. It seemed like the perfect day to go out and take a walk or go swimming or just going out in general. That’s exactly what Haru had decided when he got up this morning. Feeling the warm sun on his cheeks when he opened the windows to his room had helped him to make this decision.

That is how he found himself sitting at a nice little café under an umbrella at an outdoor table. Lee was curled up at his feet while the youth sipped on lemonade. The slight wind caught the purple and black locks, tossing it slightly. The movement of his hair shocked him a little, knowing how much his maid fussed over his hair looking good. He couldn’t very well see it so he honestly didn’t really care all that much. But she was instant on him looking appealing as she was determined to find him a partner of some kind. He wondered why she fussed over that fact; it wasn’t like he was unhappy. Can’t wish for something you’ve never had.

Haru started when a hand on his shoulder was made known, a waiter asking if he would like a refill, which he did and said so. Thanking the man, he settled back to his reading; running his pale finger tips over the brail.

Rue yawned, his arms outstretched right in front of him as he walked. He was not familiar with this place at all, sure he had gone to that city a few times before with his father but that was then, and this made achieving his main goal for being there much harder. He wanted to find his dear 'cousin'. His bright fiery hair was a bit messy as he walked down the cemented pathway, but he did not really care since he did not think his unruly hair would affect his appeal. Stopping for a second, the young man brought his hand to his stomach finally realizing its complaints. "Gah. Need food." he grunted, his voice a bit loud than needed. He looked forward and saw a small quaint cafe up ahead. Perfect. He could take a break then resume his search.

He made his way to the cafe, scanning the place for a free table and immediately sitting on it without hesitation. And with his graceful poise and proper manners he called out to a waiter, "Hey you! Yeah you! Come here, please!" then one man went up to him, frowning a little at his rudeness. Hah? Frowning? He did say 'please' anyway.

"I waaaant, this and this. Hurry." he pointed his finger at some kind of sandwich and a cold drink. The waiter bowed his head and left after that, obviously not happy with the way Rue was.

The serene silence was swiftly broken in one foul swoop; Haru’s eyebrows knitted together a little in annoyance. He could feel Lee raise his head a little and huff slightly at the sudden loudness, but set his head back on his paws. Taking a slow sip from his glass, he listened to the others conduct and couldn’t resist from saying anything.

“You know… a wise person once said that it was better not to be rude to the people who handle your food” Haru said softly, a slight grin on his features. His sightless gray blue hues looked just slightly in the others general direction, his hands set casually over his book. One of his maids had told him that once after watching quite the gross movie, which made her remember that her grandmother once said it once. It was painfully true, especially in his case, not that he’d ever be rude to anyone undeserving.

Rue darted his eyes to a young man who was sitting across from him. He immediately noticed the other man's canine companion as well as his eyes. He had his suspicions but decided not to speak about it that aloud yet. The bright haired mans fingers fiddles with the various trinkets that hung on him, the metals making tinkling sounds as they collided with each other. He raised a brow at the brunette, what exactly did he mean by what he said?

"No doubt that wise man you were talking to wasn't as hungry as me. And.." his voice became softer and more defensive, "I wasn't rude." his eyes fixated on this stranger. He moved his chair a little to the right, to actually try and face the man he was talking to and not just turning his head at every word-- he'd get neck cramps by doing that.

A light smile played across his lips, a soft gentle chuckle escaping him. “No they weren’t hungry but they knew not to trust what they cannot see when it came to something they put into their body” Haru concluded with a wistful grin. Pausing when the other said he wasn’t rude, he quite wondered if he heard himself. He may be blind but it didn’t take sight to comprehend the tone this stranger had given the poor Waiter. “Right….” Haru itched his cheek a little with a single finger and then sipped his drink again. “ Well… I did warn you…. Although it’s too late anyways, you reap what you sow” He simply shrugged his shoulders, giving the other a good tease. This other male had no idea the surprises he very well could get from his actions and words. Well he did warn him now didn’t he?

Rue was going to say something in reply but kept silent as the waiter resurfaced once again and placed the cold iced drink from the tray in front of him, handing some tissues as well. The young man placed his long fingers on the cold glass, feeling the lovely coldness on his fingertips as his eyes darted back on the stranger, "Waiter," he spoke, not really averting his gaze "..cancel that sandwich. I want to treat my friend here ahhh this one" he placed his finger randomly on one of the another sandwich on the menu. The waiter then looked a little dejected as he nodded his head and walked away.

"Hopefully you were nice to the waiters here, eh?" he grinned, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. He decided to pull his chair and drag it to the other mans table, well he if was going to 'treat' the other man it seemed proper to sit closer to him. Rue finally fixed his chair properly-- a little far from the dog (he didn't know if he would bite). The bright haired man leaned on the table, trying to see what the other was reading, and that was when what he had suspected was confirmed. This man had no sight, but this did not change his outlook of the situation anyway, he found this man rather interesting. "So, 'friend'. My name is Rue" he said rather lazily.

Listening to the other, he just shook his head with a smile as he knew what he was doing. The staff here knew him fairly well so wouldn’t ever tamper with his food. Plus his father owned this chain of café’s so he never had anything to worry about. With his mother being French Canadian, it was her that decided to call the restaurant Little Fish. There was two here, one in Chicago, Las Vegas, Detroit, LA and a few more states. Then he couldn’t remember how many were in Canada, he never bothered to ask.

Lee lifted his head a little when the chair was dragged over to his masters table, sniffling a little in Rue’s direction. Sensing no danger, he set his head back down and yawned a little. “I have no reason to be rude to the workers here, they’ve always been kind to me” Haru said softly, sipping his drink again.

“Well ‘friend’ my name is Haru its nice to meet you Rue” He replied softly, “What brings you to the Petits Poisson?” He asked, a French accent sounding in his tone for a split second. Having spent some time in Quebec he was fairly fluent in the language.

The young man was from a prominent family and hence his demanding attitude, he couldn't help it. He shrugged his shoulders as Haru spoke about himself not being rude to the waiters. "Well I was hungry, I just wanted them to get the food in a hurry." he said his voice a little firm, he was being all defensive at this point, almost like a child making excuses.

"Anyways.. Nice too meet you Haru. Ah?" He noticed the subtle change of accent of the boy as he said those last few words, "You part French or something?" The young man was actually part French (his mother was half), though he really never picked up any of the culture nor the accent, his father was more of an influence on him than his mother. He tilted his head to the side, wondering if the other really was partly French or something, his name sure didn't sound French, that's for sure.

"I was famished and this was the nearest place." he closed his eyes halfway, daydreaming about food because of the aroma that had entered his nostrils.

Haru chose to not badger the other further on his conduct to the waiter, not wanting to cause a disagreement. When asked about the slight accent, he chuckled a little and smiled at the other. “My mother was French Canadian and my father is Japanese American, it was quite the strange happenings that they met in the first place” He laughed a little as he thought on the subject. His father was big in the restaurant business and his mother had been a culinary arts professor.

“The food here is very good I have to admit, you can order anything off the menu and find it appealing” He reassured the other. Pausing when he felt a hand on his shoulder, he hadn’t even heard the waiter come up and set down the food Rue had ordered and the small salad he had ordered before the others arrival.

"Cool. I'm American and French. I don't really know that much about French stuff though.." he paused, was he sharing too much with this stranger than needed? He put his shoulders on the table and rested his face on them, still looking at the young man curiously. "..Mmm. Tell me about it, people can meet in such strange situations." He agreed, Haru and him actually had quite some things in common, and this made Rue lessen his hostility.

"Well, that's what i'm going to find out now" he said as he eyed the approaching waiter that was carrying a tray of food. His mouth opened slightly, in anticipation of the food. Oh man was he hungry.

Rue smiled triumphantly at the waiter who frowned at him slightly as he walked away, returning to the kitchens. And now the redhead dove for the sandwich and bit into it. And it was good, seriously. He chewed the contents in his mouth and swallowed it before speaking to the other man, he wasn't that rude. "Hey thanks, but seriously I could treat you to that salad if you wanted." he didn't mind paying for the both of them, he was used to having unlimited funds.

“You’re French and my French is very different, yet they come together in a way that is hard to describe” Haru smiled gently and then thanked the waiter. He picked up his fork with ease and his free hand felt around the rim of the bowl. Once the diameter was judged, he stuck his fork into the salad and started to enjoy his meal. The crisp tossed salad was always delightful; the slight hint of a raspberry dressing was light and cool.

Picking up his napkin with his free hand, he dabbed away the dressing from the corner of his mouth and set it down again in one fluid motion. “ Oh? No problem” Haru smiled gently then paused at the offering for his meal to be paid. “Thank you… you don’t have to if you don’t want to…”
