exclaim Keep it PG-13. This includes contests as well as chat posts. All contest entries should be PG-13 unless the contest host has stated that entries should be a lower rating.

arrow Post two copies of your contest. One here int the Arena section and another in the
Gaia Writing Contest Forum. In the Gaia forum, you must link back to the guild. Tell contestants that they must post their entries in the guild contest thread. This will help bring attention to the guild and you'll also get more business.
arrow In the subject section of your contest thread, put either Prose, Poetry, or Both depending on which applies to your contest. For the Gaia forum version, please put "
[GCW] CONTEST NAME " in the subject section.
arrow Please try to close your contest on the original end date. Extensions are allowed, just don't go over board.
arrow Post the winners of your contest within a week of the contest closing. PM
Annetia the results.
arrow Do not leave Gaia when you have a contest open! That's just rude and it has happened before. If you decide you want to leave Gaia or are unable to close and judge your contest by the date you specified please make sure you arrange to hand the contest over to someone else who is well briefed on it and knows how you want the entries judged. Also let your contestants know. If you have charged a fee, offer a refund if the contestants decide they do not want to be judged under the circumstances. The Guild Captains and Crew will be happy to help you if they are able, but try your best to not let it happen.
