I was lying in my bad today kind of half stairing at the ceiling/day draming peering into the future. When it kind of dawned in me that my room, has little or no personalization to it what so ever. This was both shocking and slightly scary because I've never really noticed until now. Unlike most people I know who think of their bed room as a safe haven, I always thought of it as the room I slept in; and nothing more. I kind of played with that thought in my mind for awhile and wondered if that had any reflection on me as a person. I mean if it does than it's almost as if I don't exist. I have almost no furniture that isn't necesarry, my walls are painted a neutral color, the trim on everything is exactly the same as when we first bought the house and I don't even have any posters. In fact...there's not even the slightest trait that I even lived in this room, hell my sheets could have belonged to anyone. In light of this, I'm changing my room. I may not be able to leave a my mark on the world like every idealistic teen wants to. But at the very least I can make a mark on the eight by twelve foot box that is my room. Discuss: -Self expression in your personal space. -How you think your personal space reflecs on who you are as a person. -What makes you room unique/original. -How you plan to leave your mark on the world.

That would be such a creepy setting in a horror movie. xD; No offense.
My room is pretty boring except for my explosion of collectibles I have that express who I am in one corner. xD And the piles of clothes all over the floor. I have loads of little things that show who I am on the shelves above my desk: Drawings, sketchbooks, otakon magazine, TNBC things [goblet, snowglobe, paper mache jack], Amy Brown fairy ornaments, sport trophies, figurines, gameboy advance, Advent Children, literally multiple books I accidentally stole, short story books, a mini christmas tree with ornaments, a digimon poster, and I Am America and So Can You. :3

Kinkem That would be such a creepy setting in a horror movie. xD; No offense. True, none taken. Thinking about it my room is sort of the archetypal room of the victim. Not to mention an ideal murder scene...I'm probably not going sleep well dwelling on that.

My room is painted pink, I did that back when I was 4. Same with the minnie mouse trim! However, my desk, bed, even bedspread, and wall/shelf contents really are very 'me'.
