Manifestos work better when you dicuss them somewhere besides in the actual document. I'd love to hear your thoughts on my thoughts, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the issue in that paticular place even more. For the love of a sane gd I we can't get it together here where else is there?!

So this is just to say what we're tired of? xD
If so,
I'm so ******** sick of people ignorantly bashing my religion and my Church, without the ******** decency to discuss it with me and understand they're being complete idiots! Dx
If you have a ******** issue with my religion, talk to me about it.
DISCUSS. Don't do what every other moronic a*****e does and say,
"Wow, you're Christian? Lol! So you believe in fairy tales?"
I'm honestly sick of it. Ugh. I'm sick of people trying to sound cool and pick on the same thing everyone else does and say the same things with nothing to back it up and after doing no research whatsoever.
Also, people assuming I'm an idiot for believing in God.
Respect is all I ask for.
I give anyone I talk with respect. It's really not that hard, whether you disagree or not! x__X

I've seen this to be an Internet phenomenon thing for mostly teenagers. Somehow, it seems logical for lots of teenagers to, when life's not going their way, throw all blame on God and the church, and distance themselves from them. Then, when they see others following the church they used to follow, they bash them to gain some ego and self-confidence.
I'm with you, I hate it when they do that as well (I'm a Christian myself). Whether you (the reader) believe in God or not, it's clearly illogical for people to blame all their problems on God.

It's so overwhelming I really get excited when I meet someone who can talk about it in a civil way. I'm a person who loves hearing other peoples' points of view and opinions on things. I love learning new things and testing my faith by having to prove myself. I think it makes me closer to God. But it really seems like the internet isn't the right place for me. xD If I ever want to honestly talk about something, I often get treated like a child or an idiot because I'm young and a Christian. I hate prejudice. But that's an age old argument. xD

but these days its kind of like fighting against a sub cutlture
because the people that bash our religion [[im a christian as well, Catholic]] are doing it because its seen as trendy to be atheist, or its trendy to rebel against the establishment
and people view the church as the establishment in a way, to them its just one more thing to rebel against
its a sad state of affairs

:/Oh God I hate that. xD; You try intelligently discussing Religion with someone of a different faith and all you get is, "Stop trying to convert me!" Makes me so angry. But I equally hate when I see idiotic Christians doing just that. Giving me a bad name! I walked by a car a couple weeks ago with about 7 Jesus bumper stickers about how you must "Repent, or burn in hell!" I wanted to slash their tires. Stop being stupid! xD

That's nice. xD Sheep are too awesome to be ridiculed and rebelled against. Besides, they're gentle creatures that we kill and mutilate for their fur and meat. talk2hand And I am SO glad there are no Jenovah witnesses around my area. gonk In fact, no one I know in my sub-division is highly religious.

My parents, I love them.
However when the two cross, I feel like throwing someone out of a fifth story window. Seriously, parents are run by fear. It's an addiction, an obsession. They always get scared about every little situation that they can't control, nut they of all people should no that the world isn't anywhere even near controlled, and you have to face it some day. They immerse themselves in the land of "what if?"'s. It's maddening.

However when the two cross, I feel like throwing someone out of a fifth story window. Seriously, parents are run by fear. It's an addiction, an obsession. They always get scared about every little situation that they can't control, nut they of all people should no that the world isn't anywhere even near controlled, and you have to face it some day. They immerse themselves in the land of "what if?"'s. It's maddening. My parents have always been overprotective, probably because they were both law enforcement. My father's a bit better though. He let me do what I wanted within reason. My mother on the other hand... gonk I'm 18 and she treats me like I'm 8. That frustrates me from morning to night.
I understand parents just want to keep their kids safe but there's a time when they just have to let go.

I'm Catholic and if I mentioned that in my profile, sooner or later some jerk with nothing better to do would leave a nasty comment that said "I HAET U! YOU GOD BELIEVERS R SO DUMB!" I've seen those kinds of comments on other people's profiles. It's sad when there's no tolorance for almost any religion on Gaia. I don't approve of people shoving their religious views in other's faces, but bashing someone solely because of what they believe in and not because they're being a jerk is just as wrong in my eyes.
