Name: Larissa Ann "Lari" Mashev
Age: 29
Sexuality: Theoretically bisexual, but she strongly prefers women, due to her experience with men which make them generally a huge 'DO NOT WANT.' However, if the man is exceptional (and I mean, really, really exceptional), she might consider it.
Description: Between her thin, aristocratic features and her slender, petite body, Lari looks something like an imp. Some might say fairy or elf, but she might try to kill them. Standing at 5'1" and weighing in at a mere 89lbs, she's not exactly the most intimidating girl on the block. In fact, she looks like the wind might push her over if it whipped the wrong way.

The good (or bad) news about that, is that it means people tend to take her at face value-- tiny and demure. Her dress sense doesn't dissuade them from that notion, as her tops are generally impractically fashionably feminine, and her pants are tight, accentuating her thinness.

Lari always wears at least four rings, three on her right, one on the left. Each of them hold a special significance for her. The one on her right pointer finger is a silver band with a heart-shaped cubic zirconia inset-- a gift from a dear friend, reminding her that she'll always be there. On her middle finger of her right hand, she wears a gold band with a violet stone, another symbol of friendship. On her ring finger, she wears hematite, to ease the warrior's soul. On her left hand pointer finger, she wears a silver band with an amber stone for protection.

She tends to keep her light carmel-brown hair just long enough that she can have a decent high ponytail, since it's the only thing that seems to keep her curls under control. She doesn't have bangs-- she thinks they're annoying (I mean, come on, bits of hair that dangle in your eyes and need to get trimmed every four weeks or so? I don't think so.) She loves hairclips and such, but can never get them to look right, so she tends not to wear them-- just a straight, black ponytail holder.

Generally, Lari looks somewhat unimpressed, staring at whoever she's dealing with at the moment with a sort of skepticism usually reserved for outlandish tales and the like. This includes, but does not only contain the crossed arms, and the occasional rolling of her black eyes.

Lari has one scar on her left hand, a burn which covers the entire back of her hand, her fingers, and while sparing her palm, travels up to about halfway up her forearm. She's not ashamed of it in the least, and she tends not to notice it or do much about it.

Personality: Lari is a tough cookie to crack. Around people she's comfortable with, she tends to be witty and fairly blunt. She enjoys a meeting of the minds, debate and discussion because she's tried to learn at least a little about everything, and she can make analytical connections quickly. The down side of this, of course, is that she also tends to disregard what other people may feel about the issue (what they think about it she has no problems with), and thus not really realize she's offended someone until it's a little too late.

However, she's also always willing to listen to a friend's problems, and tends to be sympathetic to those she cares about, or anyone in need. She sometimes gets tired of listening, but she tries not to let it show.

Around people Lari doesn't like or isn't comfortable with, she's somewhat standoffish, and tends to hide behind her wealth of knowledge about lots and lots of things. She's tried to get to the point where she knows a little about almost everything, since it's useful and relates to the real world, and... well, it's interesting. Yes, Lari is a true intellectual when you get right down to it, and she can spend hours arguing and learning, and she loves nothing more than curling up with a good book.

On that note, Lari isn't a huge fan of the outdoors. She strongly dislikes the beach, and while she enjoys hiking and sitting in the midst of nature, she thinks of those as solitary activities, and activities best done when the weather is clear and bright. She loves movies and such though.

Lari's views on the world are fluid, and she can accept almost anything into her personal philosophy/religion. She believes in truth, in helping people, in the 'right thing,' in moral quandaries, in auras, and in science. She believes that religions are all partially right, and philosophies all have something to be treasured.

When you cut to the core, Lari is a dreamer. She's a romantic, a lover, and someone who believes that the world can be a better place. She hides that side behind a tough exterior, but she really... really wants a world where that's all right.
