Now, this isn't going to be one of those completely and utterly serious threads about ACTUAL con rules and such. This is more along the lines of something to have fun with little amusing warnings, and maybe some actual tips for cosplaying and being at a convention. I'll post up a few things I found or can think of for example. ;3
1) (I found this one here on Gaia)- Boys! When picking up girls, find our their ages first! Nothing is worse than finding out you're hitting on 13- year old jail-bait chan who looks 21 inside her skimpy sexy no jutsu cosplay!
2) Shower. This should be obvious. :3 We're in a huge convention place this year, yes, but there are going to be thousands of people. Literally. So it will be packed. Meaning lots of people who smell.Please.. Just, shower. XD
3) Don't do your cosplay at last minute! D< Shannon, Keru, I'm sure you two know what I'm talking about, mm? It's not smart, since you don't want to be working until three in the morning, then get two hours of sleep before you have to get up and get ready to go to the con at five in the morning.
3.5) This actually goes for us people who order our cosplays online, too. D: I've learned two years in a row now, that nothing is worse than having to wait for your cosplay outfit to show up when knowing if it doesn't, you aren't getting a cosplay outfit within two weeks of the con.>> It scares the hell out of you.
4)(Another I heard on Gaia)- Apparently, don't use your foot to superglue a sock to a sandle. XD I don't know the story, don't ask.
5) Be cautious at cons. You never know if 45-year old creepy pevert-man is waiting for you just around the corner. HAVE CON BUDDIES! Because no one wants to be attacked at a con. :3 It would ruin the expiriance.
6) People at last Kumoricon will get this one: Look out for Con-hobos and manry. XD They're both very very scary in their own ways. Fear them.

6 - I found the creator of Manry through a forum. "YOU!" rand through my mind at the time, but I didn't type it, just left it alone.
Rules:
7 - Be frugal in the Dealer's Room. Don't do too many impulse buys, because you will run out of money for food and stuff you really want veeery quickly.

Oh the convienences of being in a cosplay club!
Rule {9} Eat and drink regularly! No passing out because you dont have the time or dont feel like 'wasteing' your precious munnies on food.
Rule {10} If your from out of town, dont pack unessesary things on the offchance that you wont have anything to do, you usually dont even touch them. Plus you have more stuff on the way back and being in an overly cramped car for hovevermany hours till your home isnt fun...my freinds and I would know... -_____-''
Rule {11} Dont be a hallway sleeper guy. Have a place to sleep, wether its at a hotel or someones house. Going along with that, GET SOME SLEEP! NO ZOMBIES ALLOWED!!!! {unless your cosplaying a Zombie...}
Rule {12} If your wearing a skirt, be carefull of balconys....bad experiences...nough said! gonk
Rule {13} Watch out or photographers, like Mr. Take A Pic Up Someones Skirt, or Mr. I'm Takeing A Pic Of The Crowd HEY LOOK! Boobs! Going with that, be aware of your costume, make sure its not comeing open {Kimono}or anything. And be careful of how you sit in a skirt.
Rule {14} If it's something you might regret, dont do it, It'll be all over the internet.

This is why I'm wearing some kind of shorts this year. xD Both my main costumes have short skirts, and to reduce pantyshots I'm getting some bike shorts for Misa and making some for Mana.
And I need to make bloomers one of these days for my lolita skirt. Learned that the hard way when going down stairs with wind... >_>

D< People are going to be paying so much attention to my boobs, they won't be paying attention to pant shots." But then I kinda realized.. People'll be paying attention to my boobs instead. X'D Not sure which is worse?

Infact, that rule applies to guests and panels and everything...
be aware, or you shall come home in a state of fail.

XD One of the best shows and manga ever) Anywho~ I completely agree with this rule! But to add on to it: Know where the panel or autograph area is, if they're a guest you want to se. D: Last Kumoricon I took hours trying to find the Autographing room for Kirk Thorton only to fail. crying -tear-

Another rule:
Be curtious of other people's costumes. It's not nice to put others down just because they can't sew as well as you can, or they're not exactly accurate on it. Sometimes people need to make changes in cosplay to suit them.

[17] - If you are quite overweight, DO NOT cosplay as a skinny character (unless they have baggy clothes that can hide your flub) .....and especially one that has skimpy or barely any clothing! The result will be other con-goers getting disturbed by seeing the mere sight of you, or else your being utterly humiliated by your picture being posted online by the dillholes at 4Chan. (*)
(* - Note: Even if you wear a costume that's okay with you being overweight, those jerks at 4Chan could still make a mockery of you; I had to leave a website that I was a member of for 7 years, because a bunch of losers & a truly unpleasant mod there had found a pic on 4Chan of me cosplaying as Kankuro from Naruto and used it towards some hardcore 'Narutard bashing')

I thought of one that should probably be up there with number 2. Brush your teeth. I know you all do it anyway, but there are some people who haven't in like, I dunno...EVER?
Again, crowded hotel + halitosis = death for many.
