豬八戒 ~ Cho Hakkai
"Yare yare, this is certainly a strange turn of events..." the man spoke, sighing as he looked to the giant forest in front of them.
Cho Hakkai put his hands on his hips, the sun glinting off his monocle. On his shoulder, a small white dragon 'kewed', as if in agreement.
Ever since the small group, known to many as the 'Sanzo-ikkou' had begun their westward journey to India, they had been lead, somewhat, by the Bodhisattva...
Now, the Bodhisattva wanted them to do something... well... a bit out of the ordinary.
The Merciful Goddess had appeared to the Sanzo-ikkou a few days ago and had convinced the group to take some time off their journey, to enjoy themselves. Apparently, they had begun to seem a bit tense... an observation that Hakkai could easily agree with.
Sanzo had been beyond irritable as of late, firing off his banishing gun without a second thought.
Gojyo had forsook the group for womanizing, almost to the point of it becoming a hindrance to the journey itself.
Goku had stuffed himself to the brink full of food on so many occasions by now, that Hakkai had been forced to heal the boy from multiple instances of food poisoning.
As for himself...
Well, Hakkai had become quiet... withdrawn... and was taking more to enjoying the scenery and beauty around him, than focusing on the tasks at hand.
This had become overly evident... when he nearly drove Hakuryuu off a cliff...
Now, the Bodhisattva had demanded that they vacation at a nearby Onsen resort, and take a few weeks to themselves to keep from driving each other to early graves.
Hakkai wasn't one to disagree with the Bodhisattva's observations, especially when he agreed with them, thus they found themselves at their present location.
"Just beyond this forest SHOULD be the Onsen which she spoke of." Hakkai said, taking a map out of his pocket. "It was somewhat out of the way of our journey... but I don't think we should pass up this opportunity to relax."

Sanzo growled, and crossed his arms stubornly.
He looked through his sunglasses at the road.
" This is stupid.. i don't need some dammned vacation.That thing speaks lies." he said his voice laced in anger.
Though it was rather comfortable not traveling in that monk's outfit.
The black tanktop, white shorts and black flipsflops, was rather cool.
Espically when your used to running around in three layers of clothes, in the middle of the desert.
Only problem is it was hard to hide his gun in these types of clothes.
There weren't exactly pockets in this outfit.

Hakkai smiled, turning to the monk.
The converted youkai was wearing a green short sleeve button up shirt, along with a pair of rather comfortable tan slacks and tennis shoes. It wasn't too different from his usual attire... but he wasn't about to abandon modesty for a cool breeze.
"Come now, Sanzo. The Bodhisattva DID instruct us to take some time off. It will be good for everyone."

" Well. I still believe this vacation is a damned waste of time." said Sanzo snorting and turning his head.
He still didn't like this vacation.
And he was gonna be dammed unhappy about it.
He lit a ciggratte putting it in his mouth, and inhailing the sweet smoke from it.
" Lets just get it over with. And then we'll get back to the road."

"Yah! c'mon sanzo please! Just enjoy it!" Goku asked exitedly, he wanted a break from sitting in the Jeep all the time, and although it was a nice breeze, he was getting a bit antsy.He was quite frankly, looking forward to one thing and one thing only, the food. "Awwww, I bet the food there is delicious...." he said dreamily, his golden eyes sparkling with the thought of his favorite foods....
Gojyo walked in a nonchalant manner. "yah sanzo, just get that stick out of your a** and enjoy the damned vacation." he said lazily, Hes potted a lady and winked at her, she ignored him though. ZFor the moment, he was ignoring how laud the monkey was being, intent on not starting an argument this early into vacation. Goku then became louder, her wiggled his finger in his ear and said annoyed "Shut it monkey, your being loud again, daydream quietly.."
Ran sighed as she was yet again, unceremoniously zapped back into the Merciful Goddesses presence. She had a bad habit of no matter what she was doing at the moment, summoning her. Ran quickly walked up to her, "Another mission? what is it, another village needs saving.......a youkai army out of control......you feet hurt...." she said sarcastically to the goddess. The goddess just smirked, she told her that she was sending her this time, to help the Ikko group, there mission was going to et more dangerous, and she wanted someone to look after them, Ran was the go-to-gal. Ran simply nodded, her chest was bound and she wore baggy black pants, a white shirt, and a leather jacket to make her look a bit more bulky, it faile miserably though. She was a girl with a very delicate build, a slim figure with pale skinn, and she was tiny as well. She got off by being a pretty boy to most though.....

"Now, Sanzo... we can obviously have a little fun." Hakkai replied, folding away the map and replacing it in his pocket. "Besides," the man spoke, gently petting Hakuryuu's head, to which he was rewarded with a 'kew'. "This vacation should help ease some of the tensions that our group's been having of late."
He looked over to the monk with a smile. "Even you had to have noticed it.

Sanzo rolled his eyes.
" Its not my fault the stupid monkey and the water sprit get on eachother's nerves. That's thier own damn fault." he said stubbornly.
" I don't see why i have to get dragged into thier issues. "
He glared at Gojyo. " I'll shove the monky's pole up your a**."

Sighing, Hakkai walked forward, seemingly ignoring the three behind him. "At any rate, I'm not going to pass up this chance to relax. It IS the Bodhisattva's orders, after all."
The man knew that the rest of the Sanzo-Ikkou would follow soon, even if they did try to kill one another in the process.
"I wonder if they'll have some good o-sake, ne?" he asked the small dragon on his shoulders.
"KEW!"

"Shut up perverted Kappa!" he said angrily, Gojyo was always being so argumentative! It made him want to smash things! He grumbled some more and glared, deciding it was best not to start a huge row at the moment. Goku couldn't stop himself from laughing a little at Sanzo's commment though.
"Make me monkey" he said with a scowl on his face, his hands in his pockets now. He then smirked at Sanzo, having a perfect reply to his statement. "How can you if it's already up yours? You droopy eyed trigger happy crazy monk." Gojyo then stuck a ciggarette in his mouth, something told him this was going to be an uneventful day, he lit it and blew some smoke out, waiting for Sanzo's next retaliation.

Many people in the past, had accused Hakkai of being too feminine.
The man didn't have a problem with that... especially given the three he traveled with.
Basically ignoring Sanzo, Goku, and Gojyo, Hakkai walked further down the forest path.
Eventually the man came upon a sign, pointing in the direction of the Onsen.
"Fifteen Kilometers..." Hakkai whispered before sighing.
He turned, calling back to the others.
"You'd best pick up the pace, Sanzo. Gojyo. Goku. We still have quite a way to walk!"

Sanzo pulled the gun out of his shirt and pointed it at Gojyo pulling the trigger, nearly graving the man's head.
" Get your mind out the gutter." he said putting his gun back in the shirt.
One wondered where he kept it.
Seeing as he was wearing a tanktop.
And therewe're very places for him to hide it.

((never mind, I see opportunity for intro here!))
Ran nodded as the merciful goddess explained all of her duties. Then she pointed at her, "You ready?" Ran just smiled an answered her "I'd better be" especially if your gonna zap me in the middle of the mission again. The next thing she knew, she was standing in between a group of men, the Sanzo group she pressumed. She sighed, the Merciful goddess was always so direct, "Hello, don't attack, I'm not an enemy....." she said in her guy voice holding up her ands nonchalantly. She had a guy voice she used rather well, sounding like an adolecent male at the least.
"GEEZE! watch it!" he warned sanzo, the damned monk was gonna NOT miss one of these days..... "Yah yah Hakkai, we're commin...." he walked quicker, catching up to Hakkai and sighing "15 kilometers......why can't it be closer, what a drag" he gripped, then he jumped to the side, a person just appeared next to him, he summone his weapon "What the hell?" he asked, people didn't just pop out like that...
Goku came into step with Sanzo, smiling happily he walked along, today he was wearing his normal outfit, only with no jacket on. He didn't react to Hakkai's statement of it being farther away, he didn't mind, in fact...."Race yah there everyone!" he said, about to run but then stopped as a person appeared in front of him. "Huh! Whoa!"

Hakkai was immediately on the offensive, both of his hands down near his side, ready to summon a ki attack at any time.
"Appearing out of nowhere with naught but a declaration that you're not an enemy... doesn't exactly raise our confidence level, you know." the man spoke, watching this new-comer warily.

Ran looked at everyone, they were all on the offensive, save the gauking boy behind her. That was a good thing, had they not, she would have given up on them, they weren't going to last long with refelxes like s**t. She sighed and rubbed the back of her head, "Yah well, the Mercifull Goddess just enjoys being rather blunt and sending me in the middle of things, so sorry, but take it up with her if you have any complaints." The delicate looking person put her hands in her pockets and took out a cress, it was HER cress, the Merciful goddesses. "I owe her so......she sends me on various missions, this latest one being to help you all and preotect you, so really, I'm not going to attack you." Ran put the crest back in her pocket. She crossed her thin arms.
