Taka stood in the center of the arnea and waited for his opponent. Manndar was a good friend of his, though they hadn't spoken in some time. Taka had come up with a little match as a way to get back in touch with him and to also test out a new style of jutsu he had been working on. He had been in the forest day in and day out everyday for months training with this, only returning to eat. Nobody had ever seen Taka train with this, so it would be a difficult jutsu to counter against, due to it being so new. "I haven't seen Manndar in ages. This should be a good match, eh?"

Manndar casually walked into the arena. "Taka, whats new?" Manndar said with a wave. Manndar too had been planning to use this fight to use new techniques.

"Taka returned the wave with one of his own and walked closer to Manndar. "Not much. Developed new jutsu." He nodded his head and craked his knuckles. "So what about you? I heard you made it to the finals in the Jounin Tornument."

"Yeah, so lets see this new technique of yours." Manndar said with a grin as he bowed respectfully. "I'm finally out of wrappings."

Taka smirked and lifted his head up, his headband gleaming in the sun. "You'll see it." Taka jumped back about five feet and stood straight up. "But to see it, you must first attack me." He stood perfectly still and not a muscle twitched on his body. 'Lets see how well he handles this...' he thought to himself as hand up, preparing to made handseals.

By the time Taka started making hand signs, Manndar was already on the move. "Be careful what you ask for." Manndar said as he ran in to punch Taka right in the gut.

By the time Manndar had rached Taka, the handseals had already been completed. "Souten - Sougon no Shouheki [Gravity Release - Gravity Barrier]". With this jutsu, Taka intensified the gravity around him, but not where he was standing. The barrier would take Manndar's fist and shoot it down to the dirt. "Like my new style of gravity jutsu? It's taken months to perfect, but I've done it." The gravity around him went back to normal as he reached into his kunai pouch and pulled one of the small blades out. "Now, let us continue!" He took a step forward and slashed at Manndar with the sharp blade.

Manndar fell to the ground with a thud as the sudden increase forced his hand into the ground. As Manndar was laying there, two thoughts crossed through his mind. "What the hell was that, and that would make push ups a lot more interesting."
Manndar saw the blade out of the corner of his eye, so Manndar reacted. He pushed up with his hands into a handstand and at the same time kicked for Taka's swinging hand to either kick the kunai out of it or to knock his arm out of the way for a follow up.

After observing quite a few fights of Manndars, Taka figured that he would attempt to defend himself. When manndar went up on his hands and kicked, Taka simply shifted the position of his kunai so it would stab into Manndars foot. Taka also knew of Manndars insane amount of strength and took that into account. Thinking quickly, Taka watched closely as Manndars foot came closer and closer. He timed it perfectly and released the kunai at a point where it would still pierce through Manndar's foot, though not as deep. This action was nothing less than dangerous as the kick would very well have broken the bone in his hand.
When Taka finished his move, he snapped his arm behind him and reached into his shuriken pouch. He ran around Manndar and threw one of the shuriken when he came around to his side and the other one was thrown at his back.

The kunai had penetrated, but this was the reason that Manndar had always worn boots instead of typical ninja footwear. Manndar's boots had a thick strong sole and was always kept in nice condition. The kunai had penetrated the bottom of his shoe, but it was not enough to do more the pierce the skin and cause some light bleeding and a minor annoyance.
Manndar landed on his kunai free foot and pulled the kunai out of his other foot just as the shuriken came for him. With the jerking motion of pulling out the kunai, Manndar "fell" and the 2 shuriken whizzed by dangerously close as he fell. The shuriken aimed for his back missed but the one aimed for his side grazed his shoulder. Taka was never really known for poisons, so this didn't concern Manndar.

By the time Manndar had stood up to face Taka again, he would be gone. He had gone and hidden in the trees. He pulled out a single kunai out of his kunai pouch and held it in his mouth as he created handsigns. The the trees around him, four clones were brought to life and and each pulled out kunai of their own. Then, as silently as they could, they formed a circle around Manndar. All five Taka's were hidden in the trees, unable to be seen by Manndar. Then without warning, they each threw their kunai at Manndar.

The kunai seemed to strike Manndar, but as he fell..... Poof! A log fell to the ground, and it began to sizzle because of an exploding tag on it, and Manndar was in the woods as well.
As the tag exploded, Manndar had finished his hand signs and with the blood from his minor shoulder cut he placed his hand on a tree. "Ninja Art: Squirrel Summoning"
Out of the poof of smoke came a squirrel with a body slightly bigger than a chiwawa. The squirrel was wearing a viking helmet and answered to the name Ratatosk. The two looked at each other for a split second before they bumped fists and jumped into the trees.

Taka laughed at his own forgetfulness. Manndar was a Jounin now. He was an equal to Taka and he forgot that for a moment. The original Taka's jumped from his perch on the tree and landed on the ground. His clones watched and copied their creator like mindless slaves. They walked into the middle of the arena and poofed away. Taka had no use left for them at the monet andthey would simply get in his way at the moment. He looked all around in the trees, hearing the leaves russling((Sp?)) in the trees. He didn't act on any of these sounds, as the wind was blowing. For all he knew, it was just the wind.
Having no luck with finding Manndar, Taka sighed and made handseals. He was going to use a jutsu he hadn't used since he had just entered the ranks of Chunnin. "Heat Sensory no Jutsu." Taka blinked his eyes and everything around him was different. It was as if he were looking through thermal binoculars. Taka quickly looked around and spotted Manndar to the east of him. He quickly stopped the jutsu, not wanting to waste any chakra he could use on his new jutsu. Taka quickly walked over to a tree and made some more handseals. "Souton - Raita Feza no Jutsu [Gravity Release - Light as Feather Skill]."
With this jutsu, Taka had affected the gravity of one of the trees, causing it to go, quite literaly, light as a feather, though it would not be as damaging as if Taka had pulled it out of the ground without using his own strength. He wraped his arms around it and pulled it up by the roots. "Heh... You better run,. Manndar!" He smirked and held his breath as he swung the tree back and then swung it forward, knocking over the trees in his way. He was planning on taking down the entire forest if he had to, so long as it meant Manndar didnt anywhere else to hide.

Right before Taka's swinging tree of death came into contact with Manndar's tree, Manndar gracefully jumped out of the tree and out of the way of any falling trees to avoid being squished. Manndar then threw three kunai at Taka before landing on one of the fallen trees in a squatting position.
"What in the hell?" Manndar asked as he cracked his knuckles. "When did you get THAT strong!?"
Manndar then ripped a branch off the tree he landed on and ran straight for Taka with full intent of cracking his head open.

Thanks to the size of the tree, two of the three kunai became lodged in the bark instead of in Taka. However, one of them did hit him in his right leg. He gritted his teeth as it ripped the flesh and let flow a small stream of crimson underneath his pants. With his first swing complete, he was ready to make another one... and Manndar in the air didn't make it easy for him. "I didn't get physicaly stronger..." He at an angle and instead of swinging thew tree, threw the tree at Manndar. "It's just gravity, my frioend!" Having released his "weapon", it's original gravity returned to it, making it as heavy as it once was and also as tough as it once was. If Manndar collided with the tree, it could possibly result in a brokem bone ot two. If not, he had to get around the tree anyway to get to Taka.
Either way, when Mnndar came around, Taka had a surprise waiting in his hand. A bluish-purple ball of gravity. Under the cover of the tree, Taka had enough time to make a short series of handseals. As soon as Manndar became was within eye sight, Taka would hurl the sphere at him. The gravity ball was powerful enough to create an imense amount of gravity around Manndars body, immoblizing him for a short period of time. ((One post))
