The mall is a long tall structure with a store that meets ruffly every need of everybody from towny to prep. A large food court provides the same array of fast food. Escalators connect the floors and rent-a-cops ride by on segways.

She slowly walked in. Imiko didn't know why she was at the Mall... after her escape from the cafeteria (and why had she run anyway?) she had just let her feet lead her to the first place they took her. Maybe she could pick up some stuff on the way... Maybe the mall had some Miyavi CDs.
Imiko found her way to a Japanese store. Overjoyed, she found two Miyavi CDs she had yet to get ahold of. She bought those as well as a random Gackt CD.
Walking out of that store, she found an exotic pet store. As she walked in, she was amazed. An array of creatures she had never seen before were all over the place. She looked at them with interest, not intending to bring any of them home. She found a large cage with fire lizards, little mini dragons, in it. She tilted her head as she looked in. A female of a white color flew by, then settled on a perch in front of hair. The female's eyes met hers, and she felt a sudden rush of warmth.
"My name is Mizu!"
Imiko looked around her. 'Who was talking to me?' She though distractedly. The sales clerk was rustling in the back for something. It can't have been him.
"It was me, Imiko!"
She looked back at the fire lizard, now known as Mizu, and once more felt that surge of warmth... of love. She opened the cage, and Mizu glided out and perched on her shoulder, and began preening her hair. Imiko giggled as the fire lizard straightened out her hair and removed the strands that had gone astray. Closing the cage, she walked to the counter. "Excuse me, I'd like Mizu." She spoke loudly to get the man's attention. He stood straight, and seeing Mizu preening Imiko's hair, grinned.
"Ah, bonded did she?"
Imiko smiled at the fire lizard, feeling a love for Mizu that was unfounded and instanteneous in forming. "Yes, I suppose so."
The man gave her the price, and Imiko paid full, not trying to haggle like she usually would. Mizu was worth every penny, no, more! She left the place with the fire lizard curled up around her shoulders and her CDs on her arm.
