I've seen a lot of movies based on books that disgusted me!!! burning_eyes
Personally, I think it should only be a book OR a movie so it's not as irritating to the people that read the book and see the movie!
What books can you think of that they totally butchered???...

Well, I havent seen Twilight yet, so I can't really say, but I have read the books and I love them, and I'll go see the movie when it comes out of course, but for now the trailers I have seen of the Twilight movie , haven't exactly been what I was expecting, but well you never know, we'll just have to wait till the movie comes out.

yeah... the cast was a let down, i just think there are other actors that would go better with those characters, they just dont look the part...

The Casts of Twilight Movie are not that bad,for me. Yes,at first,I hate those actors,but soon I think they can act better. I can't comment now,because I haven't watch the movie. Wait till you watch the movie, then you comment. 3nodding

They ruin the storyline of every single book they ever make into a movie. NOBODY EVER DOES IT RIGHT!!!! (And now here's the part where you listen to Catherine rant about Eragon...) The Eragon movie reallly really really ticks me off. I saw the movie and then went on a three hour rant about how badly they messed that one up. I'll try not to be that long winded, but I'm on my soapbox now so I'll list my complaints against the movie:
-Eragon was on a multi-day hunting trip when Saphira's egg show up, however the movie neglected to show that and instead starts with him at home and then somehow being able to get back there that same night when the distance between where the egg appeared and his house was too far away for that short of time.
-They don't really go into detail with Katrina, Roran, Sloan or really anybody else besides Eragon and Saphira too much, which massively takes away from the story, and makes it completely impossible for them to do a sequel movie of the second book correctly.
-Eragon hid baby Saphira out in the woods. She did not follow him around the farm.
-Saphira did not grow up in a day. It took a couple months while Eragon hid her from everybody.
-Arya is an elf, but they didn't bother to give her pointed ears, which I know they could have done because the elves in LoTR had pointed ears.
-Arya was unconscious when Eragon rescued her and stayed that way until after they got to the varden. He had to contact her telepathically to know she'd been poised and then go running like a maniac to the varden so she wouldn't die.
-I don't remember seeing the twins at all.
-The wrong guy killed Brom.
-Eragon actually got his butt kicked by Durza and only managed to slay him because Arya took Saphira and broke the Star Rose thus granting Eragon the time to stab Durza's heart before he blacked out. The movie neglected all of that and Eragon killed Durza by himself.
-Arya's hair was not red, it was black.
-The letherblaka are shown in the huge battle seen in the movie, but they weren't even there due to the fact that they weren't mentioned until the second book.
-They left out the werecat whose advice later turns out to be a huge help in the third book.
There's alot more but I'm already running a long list so I'll get off my soapbox for now. The point is I loathe that movie enough that I could go one a three hour rant on how incredibly badly they messed that one up. And the sad thing is all sequels are just doomed to fail because they left too much out of the first one.....

Twilight.
Hands down.
It was butchered,
mutilated, slaughtered.
Sucked majorly. And Harry
Potter 5 I thought was horrible.
Books shouldn't be made into movies unless
there is a dedicated crew who will do anything
and everything to make it amazing. Sadly the world
isn't that smart, lol.

They seriously did cut out A LOT of the story for the twilight movie; Of HP, im wondering how they're gonna deal with the next movie, the half blood prince, the trailer's so far don't really show much, and considering what the book is about, im wondering how the movie is going to be...

i was seething after i watched eragon they messed it up so royally. the harry potter movies went down hill after the 2nd (interestingly enough after the 1st dumbledore died) and while twilight was true enough to the book i guess, it just to a knife to it and whittled it down a bit too much.the cast was a night mare though! the bella was too harsh and everyone was just waaaaaaaaay off. the narnia movies stunk, i even liked the older version of tltwatw better than the fancy newer one.they even messed up bridge to terabithia. i mean how do you do that!!!!!!
