Well my first time with Yuri was not as exciting as the first time i experenced Yaoi but. I was on the internet looking for ideas for a character in my story would be wearing and her orginal name was Yuri!
now its something else but that's because of Drafting!
I typed in Yuri on photobucket just goofing around and BAM!
I saw it at first i was like
WOOOOO! DUDE THIS IS AWSOME!
then i started to feel like a pervert and wikied it and learned a bit more about it now I'm addicted to it just like i am Yaoi!
and just if you were wandering here is my exciting Yaoi discovery story!
...and I guess my first tecnical kiss even tho he and i don't count it as a true kiss...so I guess i still havent had my first kiss crying
ok so one day me and my friends we were walking around the mall and one of my friends. he says he is Emo but I think he just like black because he has a tan. I may be wrong but is it possibal to be emo and have a tan? well anyway my friend he says.
"Hey Guild man have you ever heard of a Yaoi?"
and at the time I was BIG time against homosexuality. and I had never herd of a yaoi! I know its like a sin or something never hearing of a Yaoi!
"No man what's a Yaoi?" I asked my friend.
He jumps up and grabs my wrist and starts running. without any choice i run behind him and we go to the comic book store. we walk to the back and he hand's me a book. I looked at it and said the title of the comic. sadly i don't remember it's title. *cries*
"Ok so it's an anime book." I began but my friend cut me off.
"Just read it please." He said pushing the book into my face.
so i read it and me knowing i was against homosexuality BIG TIME! I found my self actually enjoying that comic. then I red through the shower scene and strangly I began sweating. Then towards the end there was a bed scene and I was even more excited! then at the end one of the characters died...I began crying...but then the main character finds another boyfriend and the ghost of his ex visits him the next night and tells him that he is glad that he has moved on. then it ended. I sat there a moment looking at the book and I looked at my friend and the next part I really couldent believe either. I kissed him passionatly. I coulden't help myself. it felt like it was the only thing i could do at the time. he kissed me back and asked.
"What was that for Guild?" He asked blushing.
"I don't know felt it was the right thing to do." I replied.
"I thought you were against homosexuality?" He smiled as he said this.
"Not anymore i'm not." I smiled.
My friend and I left the store. sadly he and I didn't hook up. He and I were also the laughing stock the entire 8th grade year because of it. but since ive been a yaoi fan. I think i may start buying...or reading more of the comic's i haven't read one since that day but i have watched a lot of it.

Haha good thread topic!
Uhm, mine wasn't all that interesting? It was a while after I discovered yaoi fanfiction, so I got bored and started reading a yuri piece. I'm pretty sure the series was Naruto, though I can't remember the pairing--I do know that I didn't care for InoSaku that much after a while because the rarer pairings always seemed more interesting. I didn't have any Naruto OTPs, really, hahaha, so I always liked whatever was just written well, free pairings.
Anyway, I was kind of curious about the dynamics of a girl-n-girl pairing, since it made sense to me we'd click better emotionally. I ended up really liking it, though I was still more a fan of yaoi. But, I came away with, "That was really sweet, and really sexy. I like."
And that was that. ^__^ When I actually realized I was bisexual through massive crushing on someone, it was a lot easier not to feel weird reading yuri work, and from there it kind of took off. I identify a lot more with a lot of yuri now, actually, since I've only dated other females before at this point.

Well I went to my friends house one day and I was looking through her anime pictures when I stumbled across some yuri. Suddenly I felt very turned on and I was like Hey buddy what do you call this. She was like it's called yuri. Well...... I can't really remember, but I'm sure my friend Aiami gave me a yuri manga, see she's bi, so she likes showing me perverted stuff like that.... Her & my other friend Ami, X-sept Ami showed me my first hentai & pron-o....

i remember as a kid..i watched Cardcaptor Sakura..it was dub in my country's language...but even from it...even i could tell that Tomoyo really truly love Sakura, but sadly it was a one-sided thing for Tomoyo.
after that...i forgotten about it, until my cousin gave me Noir to watch, because of the action in it..but turn out there was a huge thing between the two female characters, Mireille and Kirika...subtext mostly, but it's was..the eye opener for me to get into yuri, and since then, i just soak up all the yuri anime and manga i could find.
and i have since converted my cousin to it blaugh that end my first exposure to the world of shoujo ai

My story= not all that intresting.
I tend to not read reviews and ect. So when I was in 7th grade I was on this anime site that had animes under 25 episodes (I lose intrest in things very quickly xd ). So the name Strawberry Panic sounded intresting and I clicked on it....
Yep that pretty much explains it!

I was reading the wikipedia entry, and then...
Actually, that sentence is like the story of my life.
Lililicious was where I started, though. Interestingly I've only recently started reading Marimite (and it's so hard to resist greeting people "Gokigenyou~~!") which is heart for anybody who doesn't know.
Was anybody embarrassed when they started? I was. And then I thought, "Wait, why am I embarrassed?"
And then I wasn't. biggrin

I only date people older than me. 16 & up. Every now & again I date younger people, but.... well..... they're kinda..... weird......

Uhh.. here? I am new to Gaia and I saw a link to this place in someone's sig. I am very intrigued. I googled yuri and I found a lot of beautiful pictures, also a Russian cosmonaut. ^_^
