In the Starlight just reopened and I have to say I'm disappointed. All their clothes are limited in stock and only certain styles are available for certain sizes. They have a skirt I like posted on their site, but it is only available for a 40-50 in. waist. confused
Anyone else have any comments on ITS?

I havto say for now I agree, however I do still want to give them a shot. The weekly update thing may be worth it. If they bring back more things like their ice-cream skirt. I understand why they made the change, but unless they start making more than a couple of each thing, I don't know how well it will work out. Someone told me that they were still okay with people emailing them to request skirts in different sizes, since they were doing updates weekly, it could just be added to the make list. I don't know how accurate this information is, as it came from a livjouranl contact, but it certainly couldn't hurt.

I think that the new system is a good idea, but kind of sucks for customers. It'll give ITS the ability to create a wide variety of new garments and experiment with their designs, but the limited number of garments and their strange new tendency to only make really big pieces, is a bit disappointing. .:shrug:.
We'll have to see how it goes. Chances are, however, that this new system will allow them to be more precise and provide a higher quality of goods since they're not in a rush to finish so many custom things like they were before.

Well, I didn't like most of their items before they closed down and I still don't like most of their items now. However, I'm looking forward to new skirts and dresses (and I'm glad they're up again!)

I have to agree that I am not liking the limited amount of stock and the removal of some of their older stuff like the ice cream skirt (Which I wanted so bad crying ) but all I can do now is wait for the updates and see how they progress over time

Most of their stuff is too big for me. But that's okay since I don't like much of it anyway. ^^;
I hope they get some nice blouses though.

I like thier new system, kinda. All I really want from them right now is Socks, since Anna House doesn't offer them (Why not?!). Hey, at least I'll know nobody else has the same socks as me. XD

I have to say, I miss the old ItS. Most of the dress sizes are too big for me and even when I see a dress/skirt I'd want to buy, it's usually already been sold.

I miss the old ITS. It's just not the same. At least they offer to do the custom size on waits and lengths on their bloomers and petti's.

It looks like ITS is catering to the larger lolita base than the standard sizes. Not bad news for larger girls, but it does seem a little excessive.

Out of curiosity, why is ITS only making products with strange measurements and supply number? Pardon me if this has already been asked. I remember reading what their old site said (somthing about fabric supply...?) once upon a time, but I'm not sure if my line of thought is close to the truth.

My guess is a combination of things, really. First of all, it makes it easier and more fun for themselves; they only have to produce what they want to produce. Secondly, they want to be taken seriously as designers, so they're experimenting more and releasing things that they normally wouldn't. Garments with pintucks and extra frills are harder to make and experimentation is a difficult thing to do if you make it open to all-comers. Thus, instead of giving everyone the option of buying X-skirt and Y-blouse, they're creating a limited supply of unique items for people at different sizes to better vary their designs and the "novelty" factor of things.
