I remember, back in the day, where if you could afford a sealed, you would definately make profit when the itme came out, usually within a month. Now, however, the situation has changed. Sealed Envelopes are no longer secure. I paid 6k for a sealed when the lunar cowl came out. Now, the item is at 5k. Patheic! Are there any other means of instaprofit, aside the donation items?

Sealeds sometimes can be good but most of the time I just wait untill the item comes out to start working with them.

Speak for yourselves guys... I acquired a load of sealeds over the last month (September) and filled out my inventory with 5k each (or less) ones. After the unsealing, I sold them all for about 7.2k each. I had net somewhere between 50-80k profit (after expenses) for this month alone. Sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose. Just don't wait to sell them... sell them as early as you can... at that point the price always goes up. 3nodding

If you sell them right after they open, you don't have to worry about not getting profit...they're always around 7k the day they open, so as long as you sell them fast and buy them as cheap as possible (or via donating) then you'll be fine and can make up to 2k a pop depending on how much you buy them for.

Yep, for example... this month (Oct2005) I acquired a nice load of Sealeds for 4.5-5k over the course of the month. I was able to sell off during the "golden hours" (the first few hours after release). I sold them for 17,999g - 12,999g (with most of the letters sold around 15k/peice). Some simple math suggests around at 10k profit / each! I don't know about you guys, but as far as easy money goes -- Sealed Letters take the cake. EDIT: This is not an isolated case, everyone that I've spoken to in the vending guilds and among friends also left the vend yesterday with pockets heavy and inventory lighter. 3nodding xd

I regret that I didn't buy more letters. gonk I guess that I am afraid of losing gold, but the sealed letters seem to be a good investment. Hopefully I will not make the same mistake next month.

At least in the long run (anything past the day of release) popularity will always govern the inflation.
Take this month. People are mass hording the sealed letters because of what a big hit the CoCo's were. But unless they can come out with something as cool, and well liked. Your going to have a flood in the market of items that no one wants. Driving that months long term value down.

Yeh, i know what you mean, i used to buy sealed for around 3.5k - 4.5k but now thier current price i am just doing what my friend is doing, donating when the items come out if i like them, but if you can't donate and want to buy and sell for some nice profit i guess it's alot harder for ya's, it's already been said about about loading your invent and selling them as they come out...i bought about 10 Sealeds before they came out then as the coco was selling for more them the letter, got the letter and then opened for a coco and made profit that way >_<
But hey that's how stupid some people can be >_<
I've also noticed, whenever the item comes out and is liked until the next sealeds are out, they go for more, as people think it will be good they think they will make profit so the sellers rise thier price to do the same...But half the time, GAIA doesn't follow up with items people like, thus creating the pointless bitching in the GCD and such
