Just curious.
Personally, my mother convinced me, i wish I could record her arguments on tape so I wouldn't have to recite them from memory when I argue about politics and stuff.

well, the area where i live almost everyone is republican, including my family.
so there's a lot of community/family influence.
plus, i like the ideals of a republican better than those of a democrat.
repubs are just more down-to-earth and are more in touch with those coming from a wholesome, down-home genuine family upbringing imo.
none of that newage LOL WE HAVE TO CHANGE THE WORLD, SO EVERYONE STOP FARTING, crap.
but that's just my opinion. n____n

It was a mix of my friend's dad and finding out some of the things that the Democrats are trying to accomplish. Mostly the idea of National health care.
Getting our troops out of Iraq before the job is done also deterred me from them.

I used to be a liberal, but then I actually got into politics and realized I didn't like the liberal view so much. I was introduced to the GOP by my ex-boyfriend. Now, I'm a proud Republican.

Makes sense to me. I'm sick of people shoving Global Warming down our throats. While I do agree that we need to slow the use of fossil fuels significantly, it isn't gonna happen over night.

I disagree with a lot of tactics of the democrat party and extreme liberals happen to annoy the crap out of me. I've experienced far more intelligent discussion with people who were republicans rather than democrats...
So basically, the ideals of the party and the people within it. It's so rare to find any where i live, though. x_x
Like, I talked about global warming once, and they stared at me like "o___O"
I'm registered independent, though. smile

3.) Democrats generally like to kiss minority's' asses
3.) Democrats generally support National Healthcare

5.) Democrats generally don't have common sense. (Iraq war stance)

my family is fairly conservative in nature and i grew up with that view on life, slowly as i grew i learned more about life and my opinions on it and decided i was conservative libertarian

My parents mostly.
But, I'm glad they did.
I don't really agree with most of what the Democrats preach. They tend to support failed tactics.
Most of the teenagers my age are democrats, mostly because they get fed into they're heads that President Bush is pure evil.
My best friend is a Democrat, and her only reason is because she hates the President.
I found that I could have more stimulating conversation with a member if the Republican party than with a Democrat.

Haha, well in my younger days I used to be a hardcore republican. In recent years though, I've found myself to be more of a moderate though.
I'd say I first became a republican because of the environment I grew up in, and the fact that my parents are too. I also think the recent invasion of my town by leftard liberalfags has added to my leaning to the right. Ugh, some of them are such idiots. Their all over-the-top liberals too.
