Please post your character stats at fist. Include what items your character is bringing in to the dungeon, and a copy of your character's current stats WITH THE ITEM EFFECTS ALREADY ADDED. I will post at least once a day but will post more often if I can.
((I will occasionally present you with possible side quests in the form of NPCs. You can choose to ignore them or pursue them on your own whims if you want some added fun.))
As you enter the large lobby of the tournament tower a pretty, yet strangely emotionless receptionist greets you. “Welcome, your fist match is ready whenever you are. Your first match is against a single Goblin Patroller (See "Monster List" thread for stats) You are healed after each round so don't worry about life after the combat. Do you have any questions?”

The goblin is unable to even comprehend what happened as its body is blown into several pieces.

Entering the arena once more, Renard paid close mind to the added spellcaster. In a flash of feathers his rapier appears at hand and with a quick running strike and a well aimed energy burst both combatants fall.

Both combatants fall, unable to even damage you in any significant manner before screaming in the face of their inevitable deaths.

Entering the next arena Renard saw the difference an extra enemy could make. "Finally a challenge, have at you!" As the goblins moved in to make there attacks, Renard sliced his rapier through the first, letting it slide off uselessly to his right. Then with his left hand he point blank fired an energy burst at the second goblin patroller, huffing and catching his breath. "Your next, imp. Don't think I've forgotten about you..."

Without another word Renard stands and casts his energy burst at the imp following it with a quick slash to insure its death. Walking from the arena, he scoffs. "Not so tough..."

The imp is unable to even fathom its own death as it is turned to some kind of nasty, oozing puss before being turned rather...*cough*...crispy by your energy burst.

Draining both potions Renard stands shakily, eying the lord of fools. "What sort of title is Lord of Fools? Perhaps you simply talk big?" Summoning his rapier in a wave of feathers he rushed the foolish challenger and sliced him through before blasting him with his energy burst.

"I wear the title because I will always rule over fools like you!" Bakasama screams as he charges in. Bakasama draws his long sword, channeling his magical energies into it as he does, causing the blade to drip a deathly-cold frost. The blow of the energy blast slows him only a little as he quickly closes the gap. He takes two swipes, both of which only make light contact; however the chill of the sword is more than enough to send your skin flaring in pain. You respond with a quick thrust that spears through Bakasama's stomach, causing Bakasama to double over in pain. "So...you were the greater lord this time...so be it. It shant be like this next time." With that Bakasama collapeses to the ground, leaving you the victor.

Entering the reception area, Renard is amazed to see someone else at this stage of the tournament. "Greetings sir, how fare you?" He asks with the normal cheerfulness of one whom survived this far. "I couldnt help but notice your awesome presence here and was taken aback."

For a moment Renard felt an urge to press the man further, but let it pass seeing that he himself would resent being questioned as such.

"My name is Count Strad Van Varavich (I love random, obscure DnD bosses). Lord of a rather large portion of the Great Kingdom of Kestral, known as Ravenloft. I have heard of your families name...though it pains me to see that its worth has been slowly dwindling." Count Strad shifts uncomfortably, as if the mere topic of a name losing worth is hard to speak of. "Regardless, you, Lord Gastion, can be of great use to me. I have had my men searching high and low for an escaped convict. All our efforts have led to this place as her last place of residence. And yet my men fail to be able to make their way through the floors of this cursed place. So, as the saying goes, sometimes you just have to do things yourself. However, I have seen your power in battle, and it is impressive. Perhaps you could defeat her and save me the trouble. If you could help me in finding her, I would reward you greatly...and not all that worth is in treasure. I have quite a bit of sway in this crazy world, and word of those whom I value travels very quickly. You may just help your family reclaim some of its former glory by performing this simple task." Count Strad shifts again, betraying his uneasiness about the subject's powers, "...Needless to say, she is rather dangerous. We were studying her powers in order to reproduce them and help in the cure of disease. However recently she escaped our holding tanks and made a break for it...she killed many of my men in the process. As far as we know she is on one of the higher floors. You may be able to track her down and end this before the 'morrow.
