As we all know, America's dominating the hiphop scene, and for good reasons. But what about asia?
LMF, for instance. Lazy ********. Legendary in China. They rap in chinese, sure, but the music's good and their beats are awesome, plus they know what they're talking about, since they grew up in the slums of Hong Kong in these over-crowded apartments. I don't feel like writing an essay on 'em, so I'll just supply you with a couple of youtube links instead... Hang on. Ah, there:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un2KRGY73Rk - This definitely deserves a look, because no matter what anyone say, this s**t's good.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhkOua0ldqA - A nice, slow acoustic song. Very good vocals and background music.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0OIOiqkd0M - This is one of my favorites. It's called "What The ********", heh. Originality's a b***h... It's about how ******** the chinese government is, how the social differences only grow, and about corruption. Well, that's what LMF is all about. I just saw that somone had posted a translation in the comments, I recommend reading it. It's almost metal, but who cares? It's still awesome as hell.

Next, I'd like to mention Nujabes. He makes these extremely laid-back beats. I don't know if he ever sings himself, many of his songs are instrumental or with others rapping. I don't know if any of you are into anime, but he did the soundtrack for 'Samurai Champloo', that's set in feudal Japan, but with hiphop soundtrack, tagging, rapping, beatboxing and other anachronistic hiphop influences. Anyway... On my profile I have a song, 'Feather', by Nujabes, but since it's so awesome and everything that's good, I'll post it here anyway.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZaV-33XSHY - 'Feather'. That word has changed my view on hiphop... 'Feather'. I can't explain, just listen. The video is just a slideshow of different views, but it kinda adds to the atmosphere. One of the best songs, beats and lyrics I've ever heard.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wrs-mK5xqQ - 'Think Different'. Once again, Nujabes made the music, and someone else raps. I think it's Substantial this time. He/they goes on about how hiphop and rap is all about "money and your d*ck sucked". I agree with him/them. This is a truly great song with epic lyrics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dLgxJs62TI - 'If I Had a Day to Live'. Rapper this time is Funky DL, and this is another chill beat I like to listen to during sunny days. Hard to describe in words. Just sit down and listen.

Lastly, 'Sanctuary Ship'. It's instrumential, so I'm not sure if it can be called hiphop, but it's a beautiful song with an ill beat. Like previousloy stated, Nujabes isn't about "drug abuse and distribution", and if you have a problem with that, well, ******** you, don't listen then, but I still say you're missing out.

Okay, not a single ******** reply so far. What, can it be that ya'll just as judgemental as the rest of the industry? Doesn't meet your little 'this is hiphop' standards? Crackniggers with ice and bitches, that's what it's about? If so, then I'd like to direct you to youtube once more. Not gonna provide a link though, too ******** lazy for that.
'Al Kapone - What About the Music'.
MC from the south, Memphis to be exactly. Some of ya'll might have heard his song 'The Deepest Hood', it's in the movie Stomp The Yard, or 'Get Crunk Get Buck' that's featured in Hustle & Flow. Good movies, by the way. Since it's all I seem to do nowadays, since nobody ever ******** replies, I'll just recommend 'em.
Now wake the ******** up and post.

Wow, calm down, son. This guild hasn't been really active since early 2007 so you may not get as much replies here and that "Crackniggers with ice and bitches" comment was out of line in my opinion. If you're bitter about not getting any replies that's not reason to make assumptions about people in here or make racist comments.

To backtrack a little bit, though, LMF is dope. Too bad they broke up or they would be making great music still. profound in their method as well as just plain dope beats, and MC Yan is one of my favourites.

Nujabes is a dope producer. Mixing jazz with Hip-hop isn't new but Nujabes definitely has his own twist to it and is definitely good music to listen to when you just wanna cool out.

Nah, actually, that part was more directed towards the rappers out there who thinks that's what it's all about. Three 6 Mafia, ODB, as well as the people who listens to them thinking that's what it's all about. And as for the rest being a little vocal... Sometimes the only way to attract attention is to make sure people can't ignore you. Obviously didn't work, though. Apologies for any bad blood I might have caused.

Haven't heard anything new from MC Yan other than a couple of collabs, so I'm not really sure what he's up to. His homepage hasn't been updated for years, so I recon he's working on street art rather than hiphop these days.

Not much to say about Nujabes. I agree, he's dope, and there's not much else to say, heh.
