As it asks, in the Battle Tower, do you have certain Pokemon that you use often, if not all the time? This came to mind when I started trying to get a Focus Sash, and I found in becoming increasingly difficult after 14 battles using Electivire, Magmortar, and Alakazam.
So, do tell. ^^

It depends. I use my Torterra, Machamp, Golduck, Magmortar, Rhyperior, Feraligatr, Dusknoir, & Staraptor.

I generally use my Venusaur, Pachirisu and Blastoise.
I transferred the 2 from my firered.
