Has anybody else read the Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyer? I'm excited for the movie of Twilight. It LOOKS breathtaking.

If you guys have book reports this semester, you should read "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer.
Also, if you're in 12th grade or below, you're very fortunate! There has been a surge of worded novelizations of Manga lately. They've been around, but just never in this amount. If any of you need help finding books for book reports, let me know! =D

All my friends seem to be huge fans of twilight... Im horrible at reading huge books. Heck.. ive head the last harry potter book on my shelf since it came out and I have yet to read it!

Not to sound mean here but I don't think it's very wise to do book reports on manga novelizations. Most teacher most likely won't accept it as high enough quality and you may get into some trouble. As for Twilight, it's considered young adult or teen reading so anyone out of high school shouldn't use it for homework. I'm not saying don't read it, it's a great series, just don't read it for a report.

I see, I don't know a single teacher that would accept a manga. Maybe there more lenient.

As long as you can justify to the teacher why the novel/manga would work for the assignment, then you should be fine. As long as you understand the point of the assignment and can apply that properly, the teacher shouldnt mind what the actual subject is. Ive been able to do it in the past without a problem.

I suppose. Mr.Murtha would never allow it, he wouldn't even let it be put up for discussion. And I guess if it works for the assignment then it does but I don't think that using manga, graphic novels, or books that are given a 'young adult' or teen rating on a college assignment is a very good idea. There are are a lot of great books that can be used in stead and probably fit the assignment better, of course that depends on what the assignment is and what class it's for. I'm just saying I wouldn't recommend it.

I haven't had a book report since I've been in college and since I don't have very many English classes it's understandable as to why.
