band shirts and fashion walk a fairly thin line with eachother... like wearing a vintage bon jovi tee with say a blazer or sport coat can look cool but i don't know if the same can be said for more modern bands... as far as fashion and band tees go... stick to the classic legendary bands rather than the dime a dozen pop punk bands that seem to pop up every 3 seconds...

I'd say it's a show of poor taste, wearing bands that you don't know. What if someone asked you about them? You couldn't say much since you don't know any of their music, vintage or not. If a shirt's really cool, and I just have to have it, I'd at least make a show of finding out who the band is so as to determine whether its worth spending the 20 bucks on their shirt or not.

Do what? A. Buy them to be cool? B. Buy them because the look cool? or C. Learn a bit about the band to know if it's really worth buying?
