Ok someone asked what my country is like. Well as much as most of you havn't been down here, I'm sure I havn't been there and would love to know what your home towns are like? Are the people nice? Are they cool with tattoos and peircings?!?!?! What kind of things are there to do there? Are you in a city or out in the country? Any and all of those interesting things that make your home town your corner of the world.
As for my place, I live in West Auckland, New Zealand. Home of some of the best surf beaches in the country (not that I surf) and lots and lots of trees. Auckland in the wider picture is New Zealands biggest city. As cities go, its nothing to scream about, its kinda clean but very broken and unloved. Nothing significant about here though, all the "interesting places" are out of Auckland aparently. It's all the same to me really. I like the natural aspect, we have two huge forests near my place, the Waitakere Rangers and the Cascades, New Zealand Bush is awesome and really calming, you don't have to be a tree hugger to appreciate it. Out from my place is my friends beach (yes my friend owns a beach... and to lakes) and his place is the best spot for summer parties. Other than that, theres really not alot to say. Auckland is Auckland. It's not really famous for anything, it's just the this little ismis that boasts the countries largest eletricity bill.

I live in metro-Atlanta, GA, USA.
It sucks, i hate the people in the south. Theyre very rude and where i live, they think theyre hot s**t because they have a blue tooth on their phone.
I also dislike we have 'Georgia Red Clay' instead of soil. It makes it hard to grow anything, including grass. So i dont have a great garden.
I like the food, which is why ive got some extra baggage XD

I'd prefer to move to my fiancees country, England, but its too expensive and too far from my family.
I would also like to live in Guam or Australia.

I live near San Francisco, California in a little city called Alameda. It is actually an island, about 4 miles long and 2 miles wide, connected to Oakland by 3 drawbridges and a tunnel. There's actually a lot of people living on this little island (I think like 75,000?), but it has a small-town feel because most of the people that live here grew up here, and their parents grew up here, and their grandparent went to school here or something etc etc. I constantly bump into people that I know from somewhere or other.
One drawback is that there is nothing to do on the island. As a kid I hated it because you'd have to drive or take the bus to get anywhere interesting, and of course I couldn't drive yet, but now I really love living here. It's within driving distance of San Fransisco and Berkeley and lots of interesting places, but then I come home and it's AWAY from everything loud or crazy (or dangerous) in the big cities, in the quiet safe comfortable city of Alameda ^_^
True to form, I was born and raised here, my mom lived here all her life, my grandma lived here all her life, and my great grandparents (who I knew well and only recently passed) moved here from San Fransisco in their mid-life and stayed the rest of their lives XD

Are there nice beaches? My cousin is from California, but i think he was born in Sacramento, then moved to Long Beach when he was older, so perhaps ill convince him to go with us ((us meaning family trip XD ))

Hmmm.... well my home town is in Florida. I wouldn't say it was boring here. There is always somthing going on I suppose. No matter where you are in FL your are no more than 65 miles away from the water. The town that I live in is small and there is not much to do there so the more fun places to go are Tampa and Ybor City. Tampa has a lot of old buildings and houses. It has such a classic old feel to it. I love it! And downtown Tampa is fun b/c it's like a little slice of NY but without all of the chaos. It's way calmer. And there is a really awesome skate park. Ybor City is the party city. It comes alive at night and there are resturants, clubs, tattoo parlours, a giant arcade, cigar stores, art galleries, and homemade pizza places. It's so much fun to go walk around down there. It has a slight New Orleans feel to it. Well it feels that way to me at least. I really do love it in FL despite all of the humidity and heat. But I really want to travel and go to places in the US like LA and New Orleans and then places outside of the US like Japan, Australia, and Germany.

Alameda is technically an island, but it sits INSIDE the bay, so it's not on the ocean. Our beach is bland to say the least, and the water is cold. If you want nice beaches, Southern California is the place to go, Long Beach is great as well as Santa Monica. Santa Cruz is nice but the water is freezing. Northern California beaches are all too cold, stay south!

Just to warn you, LA is not all it's cracked up to be. I really hate it there... it's dirty and trashy and crime-filled and unsafe...unless you go to the ritzy rich-people areas where there are so many fake people. The only cool thing about the LA area is Disneyland, and that's in Anaheim! I would like to go to Florida though, to visit Disney World =P

Well, being [[CandiedxMisfit]]'s mom we of course live in the same town and house for that matter. blaugh I was born and raised in Tampa. South Tampa until I was 12 yrs. old and then we moved to a town called Valrico, Florida. I lived there until soon after my mom died when I was 17 and my dad remarried, then I moved back to Tampa to live with my grandparents until I got married the first time. Then it was off to North Tampa (yes, Tampa is big enough to have a North, South, East and West to it) and then to where we live now. We live in a small town with lots of lakes. Which my current (second and last) husband has most likely fished in every one of them. blaugh Our town isn't a four corner, one traffic light town, but it's close, it's a busy eight corner, two traffic light town mostly. No, we have more lights than that, but not more corners. blaugh Anyway, I think our town is growing and has plenty more to do than it use to, but my daughter is right, Tampa and especially Ybor City offer the most excitement. And living in Florida is the best, since we can visit Disney World anytime we want to and there is no place on earth like Disney World! It is the one place you can go and feel like you have left the planet and entered into a world free of chaos and confusion! To me, it is the closest place to heaven on earth. It's hard to be unhappy when you are at Disney World. 4laugh
We have a beach about 30 miles away that my husband and I love to go to at night. It's called Clearwater Beach and it is beautiful. It has a really long pier that on the weekends, hosts an array of vendors selling all kinds of artisian work. And at the end of the pier you can go fishing even late at night. The sunsets there are spectacular. Then, about 30 miles in the other direction is a town called Dade City. It is a four corner town with one traffic light, but it has the best Antique shops around. The entire downtown area is devoted to Antique shops and quaint restaurants and tea rooms. I love going up there and wandering around, there is so much to look at.
The weather in Florida is hot and humid most of the time, but the Fall, Winter and Spring are great. We can open all our windows and enjoy the pleasant breezes that pass through. We do tend to have some very large bugs here. Roaches here are the size of dinosaurs and have name such as Palmetto and Stink bug (if you step on one or smash one you'll know why they have that name). Some of them even fly, but I have to admit, I don't see as many of them as I use to when I was a little kid. Mosquitos are another problem except during the winter. Well, I guess that's about it. I'm sure there is more, but I don't think duquie mean't for me to write a book. rofl If anyone wants to know more, feel free to ask me.

Well lets we are from Ontario Canada..
Originally I am from Barrie Ontario and my wife is from Regent Park In Toronto but we both now call Midland home
So lets see here we will start with Barrie .. sad Ohh how I miss it but lets just say .. High crime rates Lots of drugs.. ummmm higher bills for things like rent ect.. and it can be difficult to find a job those are it's downfalls..
the good things about it DIVERSITY acceptance.. lots of different malls with stores that cater to basically everything .. now from 1982-2001 that is where i lived worked and called home .. and even though it has alot of things going against it .. I can still hear it calling me to go back
Now on to Regent Park in the T-dot LOL.. from 1981-1989 this is where my wife grew up before moving north Pros for it are close to central Toronto .. it was basically known as the Ghetto of Toronto but now it is the second worst place to live in the T-Dot the Jane and Finch area still rules as the worst place to live down there.. She still misses Toronto from time to time but doesn't really want to deal with the gangs ect lol
Now on to where we live now
Midland Ontario
I moved here in 2001 and have been here since where as my wife moved into the area in 1989 Midland is a little tourist Community and is kinda well it's boring as all hell .. lol we have one bar .. not so gay friendly..it's got the little city atmosphere with the everyone knows everyone and everyone is into everyone else's business if you know what i mean .. you can make friends fast but they arn't real friends
there is murals on some of the buildings focusing on the heritage of the area
This was also one of the ports during the war of 1812 smile
Ok I am going to shut up now LOL cause I have just rambled I think

Teayo As far as I know Ontario Definatly does .. not too sure about all of Canada but I think it does LOL Ahh okay, in the US i think 3 states out of 50 allow it. But the others at least offer a 'civil partnerhip' which is better than nothing. My fiancee's mom is gay and raising 2 kids with her partner in England. God forbid one of them die without a will or it all would go to her partners kids, and since they're against gays they would leave his mum homeless =/
