Ok, so I'll give the basic plot/back story of the Rp here, then leave it till some of you have posted and voted. That way I'll know if it's worth the time and energy to set up, or if it'll just sit there like most of them are.

In the year 2017, A race of extremely advanced aliens pay a visit to our neck of the universe. They don't actually touch down, that wasn't in the plan. These aren't your run of the mill alien invaders. There something scarier. A sociology class. There objective, is to preform a little experiment, and our solar system is the test subject. Using a technology beyond comprehension, they cause the planet earth to increase in size, and a majority of the organisms are increased as well. There is now, in effect, 2 variations of every plant ever know. One that's considered normal sized, one giant sized. Any animal organism with out a Y chromosome is now also of a similarly gigantic size, including humans. Fast forward to the year 2068. Life has basically settled down, and other then a few obvious changes, things are running smoothly. The alien race that had created the situation had done so to observe how we adapted, both individually, and as a race. This is where the role playing begins. With life in a world where girls and women tower over boys and men.

So, thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

I think it would be the end of most life on earth, what with the being impossible to reproduce and the giants not having enough oxygen to breathe...

o:

Either way, sounds interesting. I wouldn't do it, I'm not into GTS, but it's cool seeing all the ways you guys can make for mass amounts of girls becoming giant. Good show, chap! ::Tips top hat, twirls cane::

Um, thanks. Now if only some of our GTS fans would take a look at it.

Well, other than the obvious scientific problems Jason pointed out, it sounds good. But seeing as how Zion hates being an experimental subject (unless he's the one conducting the experiment!), he'd probably try to blow up said aliens.

Secondly: Hey! I take sociology!

Then you can understand how this could be justified, and yes, I've taken it to.

Now, as for he scientific problems, Where talking about a race advanced enough to increase the size of a planet and specific points of it's organic matter. If they could do that, then they could create safe guards as well. Probably even ones that would go undetected. And they'd have every reason to, becuase if life ended, then there's be no way to study the effects.

And as for blowing them up. They did it, and then observed from a VERY long way off. Trust me, you'd never have the chance to take a shot.

Hold on a tick. If the size increases, so would gravity. Thus, the orbit would be all funked-up, which would raise temperatures (since the Earth would move closer to the Sun... or worse, other planets!).

And that's not even including the square-cube law I've been spouting about lately! With an increase in gravity would come an increase in problems from the mass-to-strength ratio!

Ohhhhh... science is never kind to us macrophiles.

You all are thinking too much! Just think everything auto adjusted itself so we can live normal lives with awkward sizes and not burn up or suffocate razz lol and with that said this does sound interesting :]

Sorry. I'm a sucker for pseudo-scientific accuracy.

._. If it wasn't for the fact it was JUST gts I might have joined. *shruggie* There should be a choice, like some liquid the men could use to grow as big as their wives. But whatever, I want nothing apart of another just gts D: Everyone wants to be small and there is only one gts, that's no fun.

That's somewhat true, I suppose. The age-old problem of macrophile communities.

Wow, I have been gone for a while.

Tony, thanks for the support.

Zion, I like the accureccy as much as the next guy, but sadly, I nebver had a head for more then the basic concepts myself, and even then, that's being overly genours most of the time. I only opted for a sorta kinda scientific explination becuase I wasn't in the mood for another supernatural RP, wanted a change of pace.

Ayama, appreciate the input, I might consider that for my next RP.

Well, in all scientific accuracy, the only way something as large as a standard GTS that has human proportions is on a small and low-gravity planet. However, this brings up atmosphere concerns, as it takes a certain amount of gravity to make oxygen stay. Look at the difference between Earth and Mars...

The only situation i could think of that's remotely possible is a small, sparsely populated planet with a high-atmosphere electromagnetic net that would trap ozone in a layer around the planet, which would thus trap the oxygen. The low gravity could make things fun, too.

At the very least, some sort of breathable fluid. After all, whales can become large because the Archimedean principles of buoyancy allow for water to support the weight more, since it is denser than air. Of course, it can't get insanely deep, lest water pressure get involved.

Heh... it's funny. I just remembered a guy on a different forum site that called himself "Scientist". He proposed shrinking could be done by reducing the space between our atoms. Why someone like that would think anyone would believe they're a scientist is beyond me. Compressing the atomic structure of a sample not only would keep the same weight and mass, thus increasing the density and pressure, it also completely changes the traits of a material. Look at coal and diamonds. Think humans would survive that sort of transformation? Our bodies are too precise.

Whcih is why this is running more to the tune of Transformers and Star Wars and not Stargate SG-1 or Star Treck.
PostPosted: Wed Oct 08, 2008 5:18 pm

Meaning that you're not taking science into as much account?

Though that could be argued, since Star Trek was not that much more scientific than Star Wars... StarGate was pretty scientific, though I've only seen a few seasons.

Well, yes and no.

I do look at what's theoretically possible, but I'm not digging to deep. I've never had a head for it, so I'm just building it on basic theory.

And Star Trek does go for accuracy.
