I thought some of you might find these interesting. The New Canadian Library is reissuing some of LMM's works during the course of 2008 with covers to match the rest of their collection.





I like the Anne cover a lot. I think the choice of suitcases speaks to the central theme of the book: Anne as the orphan looking for a home. I hate the Emily one. I'm not sure why they thought the incident where she cuts her bangs was the most important one. I'd have chosen . . . you know . . . a pen or a book, since it is LMM's series about the artist as a young woman. What do you all think?

I like the simplicity of both covers. Like B., I've never read Emily, but I would like to check it out.

I think the suitcases on Anne's cover is excellent though.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I really think I like seeing Anne better.

I will have to look into them.

I've not read the Anne series either, except for part of the first book. Only seen the videos.
