Chapters-- ancient, mysterious and powerful beings that watch, protect, and shape the world of Valenth with their influences. Once mortal, the uncontrollable power of the Fatis Mirajin transformed them into magical creatures transcending definition. Some revere them as gods, offering worship and seeking favor; others see them as magical anomalies or fairytales.

Bastion, the Companion
Aspect: Body Alternate Titles: ? Symbols: Bear,Hawk Color:Crimson Heir: Marquise of the Erosion Dragonflight Association: The Court Favored Class: Courtesan

Despite his status as the consort of the Dreamwaker, Bastion's title hardly originates from that particular relationship. Wanton to an extreme, he is considered by many to be the personification of lust itself.
His personal involvement with Valenth could be considered either trivial or essential, depending upon one's viewpoint-- he cares little about the ongoing conflict between Kelan and Nefirian, but many of Valenth's underground societies and organizations revere him, and rumors and myths hold him personally responsible for the conception of more than a few species found in the world today.
While well-versed and well-practiced in his hobby of choice, Bastion often simply takes advantage of his looks to get what he wants. If these should fail, he becomes sullen, petulant, and insufferably annoying (according to the Dreamwaker).
Aside from his Court, which is widespread throughout Valenth and includes all established courtesans, others may look to him regarding matters of virility or love.

Kelan Flarion, the Flamekeeper Aspect: Spirit Alternate Titles: Lord of Vengeance, Death, Justice, The Golden One Symbols: Dragon, Phoenix Color: Gold Heir: Valdren of the Flarion Dragonflight Association: The Firestarters Favored Class: Ranger
Kelan Flarion is elusive, often wandering throughout the wilds of Valenth to commune with them in peace. A ranger with a knightlike sense of honor and order, his focus is on doing anything within his power to prevent the eventual deterioration of Valenth thanks to the Mirajin, as well as defending the world from other threats from within and without.
While his interests lie upon the natural aspects of the world, he seems to recognize Valenth's people as part of the sacred balance. All life is brought up for judgement in his eyes, and the unworthy-- be they evildoers or simply unnatural and detrimental to the wellbeing of the world-- are swiftly dispatched by his blade and his host of beast allies.
Mutants, corrupted creatures, the undead, and other perverted forms of life all offend him immensely, as do those who employ unnatural means to cheat death.
Kelan holds no grudges against sentient, innocent humanoids, but feels that a Chapter should avoid interfering with the lives of mortals, lest they be corrupted or led astray. Because of this he goes to great pains to avoid direct contact, instead sending messengers on his behalf.
Rangers look to Kelan for guidance, though many sylvan fair folk and warriors also pay him their respects. It is common for a Valenthian to beg Kelan for forgiveness prior to doing something they are uncertain of.

Nefirian, the Dreamwaker Aspect: Mind Alternate Titles: The Watcher, The Grand Doctor, Lord of Valenth, Hand of the Mirajin Symbols: Leupak, Lion Color: White Heir: Lyric'Ai of the Boralion Dragonflight Association: The Silent Rose Organization Favored Class: Scientist
Patron of science and Lord of dreams, Nefirian is ever-curious, utterly disinterested in such silly concepts as morality and ethics. Eager to learn everything there is to know about absolutely everything, he studies simply for the sake of study, and creates life as an artist might doodle out of boredom. He delights, above all, in causing things to change, regardless of who, what, how, or to what degree--arguably, making him fairly dangerous in the proper circumstances.
He is the creator of the Fatis Mirajin and considers it his crowning achievement. He is more than aware of the effect the crystal is having upon Valenth, but he seems perfectly happy to allow events to take their course; some even believe it is functioning as he intends it to.
Nefirian is far from elusive-- he is well-known for wandering among mortal folk to better observe and question them. He is gentlemanly, polite, and curious, always more than happy to hold a conversation with mortals. It is not uncommon for him to show up in the dreams of a person he finds particularly interesting, using the opportunity to interrogate or tease them for his own amusement. Debates abound over whether this is an actual appearance, though some claim they have risen from their beds to discover mysterious gifts. He seems largely unconcerned with followers of Kelan and others who disapprove of his practices, but accounts of his ire are few and far between...perhaps hinting at something vastly more sinister than one might expect-- the little chapter's mood is easily swayed by the most trivial of things.
Unlike the other two chapters', his association, the Silent Rose Organization , is the most secretive of all by far, only presenting themselves in public at his command. Rumors of its members and the projects they are made to undertake--with Nefirian's own participation-- abound.
Some scientists consider him their patron, though this is far more common with mad scientists, as others are likely to disagree with his blatant disregard for ethics. Cooks and candymakers may also pay him homage, sometimes leaving small chocolates and pastries upon a kitchen counter as an offering.
A common legend is that it is possible to instantly win the Dreamwaker's favor, regardless of previous circumstances, by offering him a gift of fine chocolate. Cheap candy may offend him and worsen the situation.
