Hmmm... Wonder where everyone is right now...
Oh well. What kind of character do you wish to play?
Fighter-esque, mage-esque, healer-esque, tank-esque, hybrid...
Probably the first question you should ask yourself is how you'd RP your character. I think it's easier to think of a chararacter design before a stat design.

Nice to meet you. I was the one who sent you the invite. Like Bellamin said, it's best to think of an RP for your character, then develop your design from that. So if you think of how your character acts, handles situations, treats their allies, fights, etc, you can easily think of what character type you want. As soon as you get a character type, myself or one of the other players would be more than happy to assist you in creating your character.

If you want a support character, are you talking about a healer? If o, do you want to still be able to fight or no? If you do want to be able to, join the church of the divine mother. If you want to be a pure healer, join the angelic choir (talk to me or Di for how to get there). If the healer path is your way, you could ask me for help to how to make a healer. If you're talking about another support type, look around the guild and try. If you need help, feel free to PM me and I could help you make a build according to what you want it.

example of how i created my character.
I started with:
Hmm the armor knight is cool, i should make a character based off my spear using knight
(the armor knight is a class in Disgaea 2, its basically a kick a** looking tank class)
this though lead me to choosing the lancer organization (i tend to think of the orgs as optional classes since choosing an org really defines your characters strong points while by no means limiting your opportunities for "unique" classes)
Next was my background, I decided he should be foreign to Myr this being a good way ( at least in my own mind) to expand the universe of rps and allowing me the freedom of a near limitless background potential. The reason to move to Myr originates from a mid-class demonic army decimating the capital city of Arcadia and forcing the human inhabitants to the mountains between the two countries, Lugh is actually here as an ambassador, with his ultimate goal of granting his surviving countrymen privilege to enter the country and set up a new town / district. Also a few secrets about Lugh and his profession of "demon hunters" may eventually make Lugh an important character in the rps lore.
now for the specs
I followed the lancer philosophy, a quick look at the skills and you can tell the lancers are reversal happy, ones who take an enemies attack and turn it against them with moves like "reflect" and "absorb for", this also makes them great for one on one fights.
its also a good idea to plan out what your going to spend your future cp on, set goals for yourself.
