RUN ON YOUR OWN TWO LEGS: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HUMANS

General

The Human Faction is – to the other factions – the most confusing. Some humans exist in the faction, but belong to no subfaction, preferring to exist in small towns or villages proclaiming neutrality. The Human Faction is highly territorial, and – though they claim to care about others of their kind – there are constantly battles taking place between the subfactions. Not only is the Human Faction the only faction with members that belong to no subfaction that are not traitors, but they are the only faction that is constantly suffering from internal war. That said, the Human Faction breeds like rabbits, so – though they are constantly at war – their numbers are largely unaffected. They are also the only faction in which members can change or leave subfactions, though doing so – like in all other factions – is the highest form of betrayal.

SUBFACTION ONE

Warrior

About

The most physically powerful of the human subfactions, the Warrior is similar to the Rogue Vampire in strength and mindset. Also having the habit of carrying massive weapons, Warriors are the first to appear on the battlefield before wartime, bellowing out their challenge to all who can hear. They also have the tendency to get inexplicably drunk, and thus this makes normally harmless bar fights erupt in full-scale warfare where the Warriors don’t stop until one is ultimately left standing. Loud and capable of taking on ogres in their force, Warriors are vulgar and enjoy chanting their favorite motto in pubs: “If ya can’t beat it, kill it.”

SUBFACTION TWO

Mage

About

A quiet subfaction, the Mages are known for their calm demeanor, but vicious magical attacks. Exceptional Mages are capable of shapeshifting, known to take the forms of Lycanthropes and small Dragons. Mages in this form are exceptional fighters to their own faction and are treated with awe and reverence – not to mention fear – but their strength is nothing compared to the real thing. Usually solitary and determined, Mages are often proud of their abilities and are generally insulted whenever someone insults it, choosing to either light the offender’s hair on fire with a few whispered words or turn them into frogs with a few extra chants. The potential of power for Mages is limitless, and – though they are physically weak – they are treated cautiously by those who know of their power.

SUBFACTION THREE

Cardmaster

About

Similar to the extinct subfaction of Necromancers, Cardmaster appeared after the bloody Calabaster War, where Necromancers battled the Mages for the land beneath the Calabaster Temple – a building that was supposedly promised to both subfactions by their Gods. The war lasted sixteen years and finally, the Necromancers were defeated, vanishing off the face of the earth. Cardmasters appeared a few years later, as ruthless as the subfaction they replaced. Capable of breaking down bodies to the molecular level and sealing the body and soul in special cars made of mythrill, Cardmasters use the most unholy of magics to rebuild the bodies during battle and destroy the soul’s will, turning the body into a relentless fighting machine. However, the Cardmasters are unable to capture fellow factions for reasons unknown, and instead focus their attention on capturing monsters – like killer unicorns, centaurs, and harpies. Merciless and powerful, Cardmasters are rumored capable of summoning monsters powerful enough to defeat Dragons.

SUBFACTON FOUR

Priest

About

Probably the gentlest Human Subfaction, Priests rely on prayer and divine protection from their gods to protect and heal. Usually better healers than fighters, they spend their time caring to the sick and wounded. Of course, many attacks have been aimed at the Priests, seeking to eliminate them, but Human Subfactions from all over the world instantaneously gather to the defense of the Priests, and attacks have lessened, if not stopped completely. Quiet and compassionate, Priests care for almost any wounded they come across regardless of race or occupation, earning them the loyalty of Lycanthropes and Dragons alike. However, there have been rumors of such things as Warrior Priests that are being bred and trained to withstand pain and conduct the will of God as a weapon, but there has been no proof of this yet.

SUBFACTION FIVE

Assassin

About

Cunning and quick-witted, the Assassin Subfaction is specifically trained in the art of ‘silent killing’. Coming in all shapes and sizes and including what are known as 'ninjas', Assassins keep their opinions to themselves and will do any job if paid enough. Emotionless and ruthless, they manage any job with skill and precision, interacting with the client only when absolutely necessary. Capable of operating all kinds of weapons, an Assassin is lethal in both close-quarters and long-range combat. Silent and sly, Assassins battle with something akin to guerilla warfare: waiting for when their opponent is flustered and angry before lashing out and vanishing as quick as they came, leaving the opponent severely wounded, if not dead. Emotionless and nameless, Assassins are fiercely loyal to their subfaction and any guild they belong to, and are willing to go whatever lengths to ensure their honor.

SUBFACTION SIX

Thief

About

Similar to the Assassin with their lack of ethnics and morals, Thieves steal anything from anyone, including each other. This makes Thieves travel solo or in family groups so that the possibility of betrayal is lessened. Sharp-tongued and quick with knife or sword, Thieves have a habit of making enemies wherever they go, and thus are paranoid and distrustful. However, once someone earns the absolute loyalty of a Thief, that Thief would sacrifice everything for that person, and would kill countless to ensure that one’s safety. Tactless and blunt, Thieves know what to say to piss others off and then rob them, but also know precisely what to say to get into a person’s bed and afterwards rob them as well. Adaptable and quick-learning, Thieves are unpredictable and scorned by all other factions.

SUBFACTION SEVEN

Pirate

About

The only subfaction to literally LIVE on the sea, Pirates make their living by preying on cruise liners and merchant ships, stealing cargo and returning to land only to sell their bounty and restock on supplies. With a strict code that all Pirates abide by to avoid constant acts of mutiny, Pirates are intelligent, logical, and incredible navigators of the open sea. Because of the threat of Pirates, other sailors often hire members of other factions to protect them while they cross the sea, in hopes of discouraging attacks. However, being so close to the sea for so long has its perks, and some powerful Pirates have earned the loyalty of mersoldiers and sea serpents, who they call to assist them when targets are guarded. There are only four powerful Pirates such as these in the world, and they all supposedly died during the Battle of the Last Sea, where Pirates faced off against each other for possession of the open sea. There was no victor, and these four legendary Pirates vanished along with their ships, and the mersoliders and the sea serpents dove deep into the sea, never to pledge loyalty again. Decisive and strong-willed, the Pirate Subfaction is stubborn, and for them, death will come long before surrender.

FINAL SUBFACTION

Elementalist

About

Said to be the evolution of Mages, Elementalists are powerful magicians specializing in one of the eight elements: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Ice, Light, Darkness, and Lightning. They often wear colorful robes that correspond to their element, and usually are in charge of familiars acquainted with that element such as hell hounds, shock bugs, water sprites, and ice bears. These familiars are advisors to the Elementalists, and are usually around during the magician’s birth. Thus they are forever by the Elementalist’s side. An Elementalist that has no familiar is generally weak and easily subdued, for the familiar is in charge of revealing the potential inside of a human being. Elementalists that are adept at their element unconsciously have personality-changes to match their element: Fire Elementalists are brave and cocksure, while Darkness Elementalists are quiet and mysterious. Elementalists cannot be trained as Mages can, but rather they are born with the power to control a certain element, and no known Elementalist can control more than one element. There is also no way to predict when and where an Elementalist will be born – the powers of the elements seem distributed at random, sprinkled throughout the country. Because of the powers of magic coming naturally to the Elementalists, they are looked at with jealousy and envy from the Mage Subfaction, while they are admired and revered by all others.

Remember that the price of betraying your faction is death. So you had to get away some how, otherwise you would be dead. If something happened between your character and another player's character, make sure to talk to that roleplayer before you make it so. I want some sort of notice that both of you agreed on it.

If you are a traitor, put a wineandcheese emoticon in the PM and label it 'I'm Not Okay (Promise)'.

I hope you all like faction five!

BRUTAL: WARRIOR

User Image
Username: Luminol Lights
Character Name: Geniveve 'Gen' Gillson
Age: 21
Bio: Gen grew up in a very small, slightly struggling, neutral town. Her father was among the elite there as a toy maker whose toys were very popular in the city. It would seem to any onlooker that he cared not for his family in any particular fashion, but Gen liked to believe that this wasn't true for he had made her an abundant amount of toys. Still though, doubts easily formed when words and hugs were missing.

In her town, a retired dancer lived and taught the girls of the village how to dance. Originally this has sparked an interest in her and she wished to live life as an entertainer. That way she would be able to happily explore the entire world. Then, one fateful day, a traveling group of Warriors passed through her village. Inspired by a strong female Warrior there, she dedicated herself to being like her in terms of strength.

Another important thing to mention in her childhood would be the fact that she grew up having an uncle living as a Priest in a nearby church. It was during her constant visits there that she met and befriended a small Mae and became one of the few people who's skin she could stand seeing and tolerate coming in contact with.

When she turned seventeen her father passed away. By this time, she had become near certain that he never truly loved her. Then she took a tour through his work space and found things likes notes and designs for toys for her, even if she had outgrown many of them. One of the designs was not terribly hard and she was able to, with her weak skills in the area, create. It was a headband with rabbit ears attached to it. She now wears it religiously.

Staying behind for a few more years to perfect her style of fighting and make sure that her mother was well taken care of, Gen set out to make a name for herself and explore the world. With her came Mae, though they split up fairly quickly. Only occasionally now do they meet up and go on quests together.

Persona: Loud and cheerful, she almost gives off the feel of someone who is drunk without actually being drunk. Often she acts in a near childish manner, exclaiming the wonders of alcohol in song, for example. Her behavior is a choice, however, and she is actually a bit more mature and wise than she would have others believe.
Weapons/Spells: She fights with a sword, like most Warriors do, but is a bit different than them. Not strong or huge enough to be a lunkering tank of power, she instead has chosen to pick a slightly more agile form of swordplay. Without her noticing, her dancing training often sneaks into her movements.
Mission in Life: She'd like to have others believe that it is to try as many forms of alcohol as possible, but she truely wishes to travel enough to satisfy herself and then move back home.
Quirks: She is unable to say the word 'alcohol' in a normal voice, it must be sung, usually very loudly. Gen only removes her rabbit ears to sleep and shower, and even then she occasionally forgets.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: Naturally she loves her own kind and tends to be a bit more forgiving with them than she may be with other Factions and Subfactions. She has a special respect for Assassins though, because of how agile they are.
Any She Hates? Why?: Head Hunters are things to be hated in her opinion. Additionally, while she doesn't hate them by any means, Demons freak her out. Normally because she finds it unnatural for something that looks so Human to suddenly pull off a hood and reveal cat ears.
Theme Song: Enough for Now--The Fray
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:

"He would've never left you broken, he would've held you. Things your father never told you."
Other: She has many, many strange acquaintances that usually help her out before a quest in some manner or another.

PROUD: MAGE

User Image
Username: zfatal
Character Name: Guele Saleh
Age: 29
Bio: Saleh, quiet and predisposed to order, was given the title Guele as recognition for being the first mage to acquire mastery of the studies of Buele Rijah, the Dark Seer. This has given Saleh an utterly unique array of magical abilities.
Persona: Saleh fits neatly into the stereotypical mage profile of silent and ominous. He is very understanding toward others, and claims to practice neutrality towards inter-Factional disputes. He is known by few select for his skills, if not experience-by-age, in the order of Serclairevoyance.
Weapons/Spells: Serclairvoyance. A magic art founded by Buele Rijah, the Dark Seer. Serclairvoyance is a special adaptation of clairvoyance. Clairvoyance allows extra-sensory perception of things, such as impending danger. Serclairvoyance allows the bearer knowledge of things to come specifially and totally after the decision has been made. Whereas clairvoyance is imprecise and unpredictable, serclairvoyance is very reliable and efficient. Any danger to anyone directly involved with Saleh can be sensed as soon as the attacker makes the decision to at one point, or another, attack. It is a very effective measure of defensive spell, making Saleh able to react to almost anything far too easily. Saleh also knows an array of mundane magic, including various shape-shifting, element-control, and mind magics. However, serclairvoyance is his specialty.
Mission in Life: Saleh hopes to uncover another ancient magical art, this called Tamu. Other than that, he is not willing to divulge.
Quirks: Saleh has a tendency to close his eyes for long periods of time, even when awake. Although primarily benign, he views himself as lawful rather than just. The two being different.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: Saleh enjoys the company of the wise Dragons or the intelligent Gryphons. Although he himself doesn't understand it, Saleh is also fascinated by the Lycanthrope.
Any He Hates? Why?: Saleh rather dislikes his own race/Faction, along with that of the Headhunter.
Pets : Luca - a wolf spirit with the power to manifest physically and change the aspects of its physical appearance.
Other : Saleh is always searching for knowledge, it seems, and is more than willing to participate in or give a task related to gathering information. He is well-traveled and, among certain racial circles, well-known. Among the humans, however, he is a hidden mind.

User Image
Username: Doctor_Whiteface
Character Name: Jakka
Subfaction: Mage
Age: 104
Bio: Jakka was born into a family of Mages. His talent was immediately apparent, as he first cast his magic when he was two. By the time he'd reached the age a normal Mage would-be apprentice, he was already a teacher. By the time he had reached the age of fifty, the age where most Mages struck out on their own, he had developed a new style of magic, Thaumomancy, a style similar to the legendary Alchemy. He shunned all human contact after he developed Thaumomancy, preferring to stay within a self-contained world of his own creation, a place he called Halla, researching and testing for new uses of magic. He still seems to be in his early thirties, despite the fact that records show him being born over a hundred years ago, and there are rumors floating around that he may be trying to resurrect the forbidden Necrotic Arts.
Persona: Calculating, slow, extremely paranoid
Weapons/Spells: Jakka is one of the oldest and most powerful Mages. As such he knows hundreds if not thousands of spells, and he carries around the Blackstaff, an artifact he forged that grants him additional protection.
Mission in Life: To discover the Original Spell, the spell that he believes created the world. He thinks that if he can find and speak the Original Spell then all the mysteries of the world will be revealed to him.
Quirks: Jakka can, at will, create a globe several feet across leading into Halla. He must concentrate to do this, however, and thus cannot create the portal while in battle. He is also in close contact with several traitors in other factions, including an old Head Hunter known as Keda.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: Jakka is as close to a neutral party as any human can be. He enjoys the company of every faction except humans.
Any He Hates? Why?: He tolerates Mages and is hostile towards non-Mage humans.
Other: Jakka rarely leaves his Halla, and when he does it is usually for components for his strange experiments. No object that is a part of Halla, that is to say, no object that was not brought in from the outside, may leave the self-contained world. If a Halla-native object leaves the world it immediately turns to dust.

Username: Luminol Lights
Character Name: Lucia Ringe
Subfaction: Mage
Age: 22
Bio: Lucia was born into the high-class city life. Magic surrounded her constantly, as did new inventions and ideas. Her schooling, thusly, was of the highest level. As was her brother, her polar opposite. Where she was cheerful and nervous in personality, he was sullen and reckless. Still though, they seemed to get along well enough. When she was ten and her brother fifteen, however, that changed. Her brother and her both immediatly took to magic as a favorite part of their schooling and adored practicing it on their own, often together. One day, seemingly just like the rest, Lucia's brother began to practice spells concerning darkness. Mainly, he would draw them out and direct them at high speeds in certain directions. That same day, Lucia was practicing spells dealing with wind. She worked on pushing herself in other things in random directions with it. The two's work lead to a tragic coincidence. Just as her brother fired off a spell, her spell of wind pushed her right into its path. Immediately he tried to redirect the spell so that it wouldn't harm her, but he only succeeded in stopping it from hitting her vitals. It struck her eye, sending through her a course of pain that caused her to faint. After she awoke, she learned exactly what had happened. Because of the clouding effect of that spell, she is now blind in one eye. While that only takes away about twenty percent of her vision, all of her depth perception is gone.

The tragedy left other marks on Lucia. Her cheerful disposition and nervous ways dissipated. She no longer spoke, and when she did it was with a chill of someone older and more bitter. Additionally, she gained her brother's reckless ways. Interestingly enough, her brother ended up becoming much more aware of himself and others through the accident. His relationship with his sister, while still loving, turned strained. She forgave him, naturally, but it was harder to speak to him than it used to be. In fact, it was harder to speak to anyone. Even though they had no way of knowing of her disability, she became almost paranoid of others judging her. Isolation was her solution. If she had no contact, then she wouldn't worry about being pitied. Without having to waste time with friends, her skills in magic grew rapidly from her almost excessive study. This talent, coupled with a fear of being pitied, lead to her eventually developing a minor superiority complex. You didn't pity those better than you. Even with such a high skill level and ego though, she found herself unhappy. So, at the age of twenty, she set out to travel and see the world, taking up quests as she went along.
Persona: Lucia has to her an air of pitying condescension, as though she feels bad for everyone who is below her. Often she strikes many as stuck-up and unsociable, which isn't one hundred percent false. She can be at times. Lucia is, however, deep down a loyal and often merciful person with splotches of compassion that sneak up on her every once in a while and never fail to shock her. Truthfully, she'd rather they stayed back and allowed her to be rude and keep people at bay.
Weapons/Spells: Lucia prides herself in have a large range of magic spells, mainly to compensate for the weakness of her blind eye. Long range, short range, she can do it all. Mainly though, she specializes in spells pertaining to water and light, since water can do damage regardless of distance and light doesn't require precise aim and the like. In the rare case where she cannot use magic, she has basic hand-to-hand combat skills and keeps a dagger on her at all times.
Mission in Life: Lucia is in the search of satisfaction. How she will find it she doesn't know, but questing is a good time killer until then.
Quirks: Lucia has never once in her life allowed herself to be kissed, though several men have occasionally tried to flirt with her. Additionally, while she is a rather heavy drinker, her alcohol tolerance is ungodly high and it takes an extremely long time for her to even fall tipsy.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: She feels a loyalty to other Mages out of duty, and she likes Factions whose members generally stay to themselves and don't busybody in the affairs of others, such as Gryphons.
Any She Hates? Why?: Lucia was raised to dislike Elementalists. It's nothing personal for her, just something that she picked up from living in a community full of Mages.
Theme Song: There's a Class for This ~ Cute is What We Aim For
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
"We are so serious, so I guess it all comes down to how curious you can be."
Other: Spending so much time on the outside, Lucia has gotten quite good at imitating the human behavior she's seen. In other words, when absolutely required, she can be a rather spiffy actress.

HEARTLESS: CARDMASTER

User Image
Username: Riku - Edge Of Insanity
Character Name: Necron Tribel
Subfaction: Cardmaster
Age: 21
Bio: Despite his youth and inexperience compared to others within his subfaction, Necron is well known for his talent with cards. His lineage is unknown, he was simply found by a couple attempting to find an alternative use for the mythril cards. Throughout his stay with them he was treated as a cross between a son and an assistant, his 'parents' often too busy with their research to take any real care of him. Often left alone for hours on end, he began experimenting with the cards at the age of seven. After reading a few of the many books on the cards, he became intrigued, and set out to try and capture an animal. Within a week, the boy had succeeded in capturing a squirrel, an impressive feat considering the short amount of time.

After his 'parents' learned of his feat, they immediately saw him a resource more than anything, conducting various tests on both him and the creatures he captured. This continued until the age of sixteen, when he left after the researchers had an argument which turned bad, eventually leading to their house being set on fire and the two perishing. Or at least, that's the most common explanation. Seemingly unfazed by the deaths, Necron set out with a horde of 'empty' cards, intent on capturing as many creatures as possible. He's traveled ever since then, earning money by using his cards and his own physical skills as a bounty hunter.
Persona: Despite his strange upbringing, Necron's generally a pretty cheerful person, even when in the midst of a battle. However, beneath the happy exterior, there's a rage that only a select few have ever seen, only ever unleashed when he is truly enraged. Unlike most Cardmasters, Necron chooses to fight alongside his cards, rather than watch from the sidelines. He's a bit of a drinker too, although thankfully when he does get drunk, he's just very affectionate rather than bloodthirsty.
Weapons/Spells: Other than the ability to trap certain creatures, Necron has a three pronged trident that he uses to attack with at close range.
Mission in Life: Capture something strong enough to defeat a Dragon easily.
Quirks : Unlike most Cardmasters, Necron tends to show some degree of affection towards his weapons, withdrawing them and fighting alone if they are somehow injured.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: Necron's favorite faction is undoubtedly Demons, in particular the Nekos. Supposedly he finds the creatures cute. He also respectful towards Head Hunters, purely for being almost perfect killers.
Any He Hates? Why?: Dragons. Their incredibly over-inflated egos are all too good at annoying Necron, as well as their incredibly strong scales.
What Monsters Your Character Possesses : Necron uses a variety of animals and monsters to fight with, often using various predators of the animal kingdom. His favorite, however, is a silent male harpy that possesses strange black and crimson plumage, whom he always refers to as 'my Angel of Death'. Strangely, the Angel is one of the few harpies ever seen wearing clothes.
Pets:
Angel of Death
User Image
Theme Song : Im Alive by Becca
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song :

"Between the good and bad's where you'll find me, reaching for heaven!"

User Image
Username: Spaniard The Last Angel
Character Name: Isabella de la Cruz
Subfaction: Cardmaster
Age: 25
Bio: There isn't much to Isabella. She likes fighting. Raised to fight, born to fight, lives to fight. And she isn't a traitor to her fraction either. She just chooses to do as she pleases. Her last name is not her original. De la Cruz means "of the cross", which entitles that even though Isabella can be cold at times, she does show mercy for those who deserve it.
Persona: Keeps to herself for the most part, but definitely is not afraid to get into something with complete confidence that she will win.
Weapons/Spells: When not using her captive monsters, Isabella will often use a very light long sword. She also isn't afraid to use her foot as well.
Mission in Life: To be stronger and live an adventurous live.
Quirks: For a girl, she sure does have a temper and bad mouth. Oh, and she likes to keep herself fit. No empty carbs here.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: She's willing to get along with any race or faction. It's individual people she doesn't like. Why? People can be annoying, duh.
Any She Hates? Why?: What, you didn't understand the first time? What you look like doesn't matter, just don't piss her off.
Pets: Heather the falcon. Travels with Isabella where ever she goes, but stays outside.
What Monsters Your Character Possesses: Two wolves, a lion, a shark, and a male harpy. Needless to say, she's been around the block a few times, and these are just the creatures she uses most often.
Theme Song: I Will Not Bow- Breaking Benjamin
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
"I don't want to change the world, I just want to leave it colder; I will not bow, I will not break, I will take your breath away."
Other: Don't get in her way m'kay? If she wants something, she'll get it. End of story.

Character Name: Madeline (Maddy) Letrayal
Age: 18
Bio: Growing up in the shadow of her twin brother’s genius, it was a pretty lucky thing that Madeline didn’t care too much about being the best. She’s not bad; in fact, compared to most Cardmasters, she’s actually very good at what she does. It’s just that her brother was – is – better, and knowing that she could never beat him, she never bothered to try. Throughout her teenage years, she started to find ways to make herself stand out; maybe not the right ways, and maybe not always by the right people, but they sure got her noticed. Of course, the problem with drifting into such behavior is knowing when to stop. Madeline was already well on the way to being trapped in that life forever when the rift between her father and her brother occurred. In some ways it was lucky – the seeming implosion of her family, all of whom she loves dearly, and the loss of her twin and safety net snapped Madeline out of her downward spiral, and fast. It tore her up, however, and she is determined to fix it. Currently, she’s traveling, trying to get news of her missing sibling.
Persona: A little bit on the wild side, Maddy likes to have fun and doesn’t care who knows it. Open, friendly, and always ready with a smile or a joke, she loves to be around other people and does her best to treat them well. Although she can be delicate, courteous and even ladylike when the moment requires it, it’s not something she likes to make a practice of – to be honest, she’d find it boring to be that well-behaved all the time. She tends to be cheerfully oblivious to any danger posed to herself (particularly, one might add, by romantic interests), but if the slightest hint of it touches her family, her mood swings violently and she turns into a mother bear, ready to take on anyone to protect them.
Weapons/Spells: She states firmly that her cards are all she needs, but she does carry a few close-combat blades – just in case, she says. Just in case.
Mission in Life: To get her brother back into the family fold, and hopefully to have some good times along the way.
Quirks: Madeline has a bizarre and unnatural fascination for random trivia, and a memory like a steel trap for same. She can quote factoids that someone randomly dropped into a conversation years ago. Ask her when her birthday is? She probably doesn’t remember.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: Well, her own, of course! And the Beast Keepers are cool. She likes pretty much everyone who’s fun, to be honest, except…
Any She Hates? Why?: Dragons. Oh, ick. She just has a thing about them, okay? We all have our irrational phobias! They freak her out, and she’s always suspicious of their intentions. She also worries about Head Hunters every now and then, particularly since her brother was declared a ‘traitor’ by their father.
Pets:
User Image
Kirali, a young Chimera that she caught several years ago preying on the sheep of a nearby village. Though Kirali doesn’t talk as such, she has a sort of mental speech that serves her communicative needs. She was Madeline’s first capture, and they’ve grown quite friendly over the years. Kirali generally stays out of her card, although whenever Maddy thinks she’s going into a situation that will upset the Chimera, she either leaves her at home or puts her back in her card – a strange habit, considering that the only situation that would upset the normally relaxed and easygoing Kirali would be one where Madeline was in danger.
What Monsters Your Character Possesses: She has quite a repertoire. While she’s not entirely sure of everything that she has – can you tell she doesn’t fight much? – she knows it includes a centaur, a killer unicorn given to her as a gift several years ago, several animal predators, and of course Kirali.
Theme Song: If You Seek Amy, Britney Spears
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
“Love me, hate me, say what you want about me[…]Oh, but can’t you see what I see?”
Other: She is as unlike her brother as it is possible to be, and if one more person asks if they’re really related, there will be blood.

MERCIFUL: PRIEST

User Image
Username: Luminol Lights
Character Name: Mae Lawings
Subfaction: Priest
Age: 23
Bio: She was born into a neutral family in a small village that was massacred when she was barely over a year old. Mae was then carried to a nearby church by her older sister who passed away later from a fever due to an infection from a wound inflicted on her. Growing up peacefully in the church, she was never told about her family except for the fact that they had passed away, not abandoned her. As she grew older, she was trained as a priestess. At first it seemed that, despite her kind nature and openness to God, she was to be a failure as a healer and protector. She had difficulty healing even the simplest of scratches. Then one day a gardener hired to tend to the flowers in the church’s garden met a particularly nasty weed-type monster on the job. He’d managed to kill it, but was bleeding profusely from his arm. Mae, being the closest one around, instinctively rushed to his aid and managed to heal his wounds flawlessly. Since then she had become quite the adept healer. Despite her prayers though, she is also very interested in herbs and medicine for she feels like priests are not always around for people and that they ought to have alternative ways to get better.

Recently she has set out journeying, relying on those willing to take her into their parties on quests to make money. When she has to, though she hates to be a bother, she also visits nearby churches and monasteries for aid. Despite her travels though, she still habitually writes letters back to her ‘family’ back home.
Persona: Used to a quiet and peaceful life, Mae tends to be skittish and nervous around all of the… interesting characters she has begun to run into. Once she settles down she is typically polite and cheerful, her naivety blatant through her actions. Used to priests and the like, she is honest to a fault and thusly expects other people to be honest too. Her optimism, however, usually keeps her from being terribly hurt by those who are apt to betray her. Additionally, she can easily be lured into childish behavior where things like games or sweets are involved.
Weapons/Spells: Mae has no offensive spells of her own, only healing and protective prayers. If needed she can use her hair pins as throwing darts, but she only has a few.
Mission in Life: She wants to travel the world and help all sorts of people and find all sorts of medicines.
Quirks: Mae’s biggest quirk stems from a reoccurring nightmare of hers in which she is in what seems to be a normal village at first full of friendly people. Then a storm occurs, but the people continue on with things outside. Whenever the lightning flashed she’d see the people as grotesque forms of themselves with their skin melting off of the bone and all other sorts of horrid things. Because of this dream she has developed a great fear of skin, and seeing people scantily clad can easily make her hyperventilate. The sight of her own skin, however, doesn’t faze her at all.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: She tends to treat people equally, regardless of faction. Her belief is that a person makes their own self regardless of where they come from, and that is what she should judge.
Any She Hates? Why?: She isn’t particularly fond of Head Hunters since there is an entire subfaction of them dedicated to hunting her kind, but the sad fact is is that she’d probably take pity on one anyway if she saw it hurt or dieing.
Theme Song: It’s Okay—The Hush Sound
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
"Until someone loves you, I’ll keep you safe, but like them I will give you away."
Other: When throwing her hair pins, she usually takes great care to avoid fatal areas, instead choosing to try and paralyze her enemies.

User ImageUsername: Starbucks_Phantom
Character Name: Eloi Beauclerc
Age: 22
Bio: Eloi was born into a merchant family that traveled Tangere la Dueses, distributing exotic spoils (food, trinkets, clothing, etc.) to various cities and villages. Eloi loved all of the different cultures he was able to see and interact with, and for a small child like him, he was always entertained. However, one night when Eloi was 8 years old, he was kidnapped while on a trip to Mercury City with his family and never saw them again. However, luck was on young Eloi’s side and two weeks into his captivity, he wished that someone would come to save him and his silent wish was granted. Among group of priests, who were on a pilgrimage, one spotted young Eloi. Of course, he didn’t come and speak with the thieves who held Eloi captive, but the small boy was not forgotten. During the night, the priest came back and set Eloi free and spirited him away back to the priests. He was healed of his injuries and was fed and clothed. Throughout the remainder of his childhood and adolescence, Eloi was taught the ways of the priest. He believes that it was God who heard his wish to be rescued that day and has always been strong in the priesthood. As he learned, he became skilled in the healing arts and also became very learned in the different types of medicine and poison that existed. When he was 19, he left for his own travels, insisting that if he were to learn more, he would have to leave the sanctuary of the priests and travel the continent himself. He is also interested in trying to find the family he vaguely remembers from when he was small.
He has only visited his home a couple of times in the three years he has been gone. He makes money from selling different herbs and medicines he finds and makes. He prefers to stay in churches and such when he’s traveling, but when he does not have that option, he prefers to stay in homes he can use his skills or just camps out.
Persona: Eloi is very kind and thinks of others before himself. Also, he is quiet and is very patient, which makes him a great listener. He is a brave man, but not boldly so. He will stand up for those who cannot protect themselves, but he would never go around boasting about it. He is soft spoken, a romantic, and dedicated to his work. He is not shy, in fact, he loves to meet new people.
Weapons/Spells: His only defensive weapons are a couple of small viles of poison: one filled with castor bean oil, commonly known as Ricin. The other is filled with a liquid filled with an extract from puffer fish, this poison in commonly known as Tetrodotoxin. He has healing spells and also protective spells.
Mission in Life: His mission in life is to help as many people as he can with his skills, but also to find his family one day and reunite with them.
Quirks: Even though he can vaguely remember his family, Eloi can vividly remember the culture of the different places around the world. Also, he is a walking encyclopedia for medicines, herbs, and poisons; he can tell a person what exactly an exact herb, medicine or poison does in an instant.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: He likes almost everyone. He doesn’t judge people right off the bat, although around some he is cautious, but still finds out what kind of a person they are.
Any He Hates? Why?: Hate’s a strong word. However, he isn’t particularly fond of Thieves or Head Hunters. Thieves, because of what they did to him in the past. However, he doesn’t hold a grudge against their kind, he is just very cautious. He isn’t very fond of Head Hunters because his kind are hunted by them.
Theme Song: Lullaby for a Stormy Night ~ Vienna Teng
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
“Rain’s a part of how life goes.”
Other: He only uses his poisons in extreme emergencies of defense, and when using them, understands the person has to die for a reason instead of just killing them for revenge or extreme dislike.

SILENT: ASSASSIN

User Image
Username: SilentShadowDreamer
Character Name: Savanna Shielove
Subfaction: Assassin
Age: 29
Bio: Savanna was born and raised in a neutral village. The early years of her life were spent in training to become a dancer, lending her the smooth and graceful way of moving that stayed with her to her current life. In her early teens, however, she was noticed by a member of her Guild who was on assignment. He took her with him when he left – and she was happy to go. She spent the next several years in training, and by the age of twenty, she cut herself loose from her mentor’s training and began working on her own.

Her only ‘slip’, as she now terms it, came when she was sixteen. It was a very basic and elementary mistake – she grew attached to the target over the course of weeks of observing his behavior. In less detached terms, she fell in love, or fancied she did. Her mentor was still working with her at that time, and he ‘rescued’ her from this mistake by bringing her into the man’s bedroom one night and making her terminate the target right there. Although Savanna believes this no longer affects her, the fact is that she has never come close to falling again – not for anyone. Whether this is a protectionist measure or whether she just hasn’t found anyone remains, simply, to be seen.
Persona: Cool and patient, Savanna will wait years if necessary for the shot she needs at a quarry. It is very rare she has to wait years, however, because her intelligence and the research she always does in advance give her a good idea of any opponent’s weak spots, which she will exploit ruthlessly to get the edge. Although she would never, never admit it, Savanna has a romantic heart buried deep under the emotionless exterior, and loves to laugh – on her own time. These days, she very rarely has her own time.
Weapons/Spells: Savanna has at least a basic working knowledge of almost all types of weaponry. She favors shorter blades and garrote wire over bows, swords or the staff, preferring their quiet efficiency and close range, but will use anything that comes to hand when necessary. With no magic at her disposal, she relies entirely on her prowess with weapons.
Mission in Life: Savanna’s mission in life is to rise to the top of the guild, as she’s sure she will in time.
Quirks: Her main nervous habit is a tendency to bite her nails. Since she sees this as a sign of weakness, she keeps them cut brutally short. When forced to speak to someone, she stares past them, or looks off to one side, or even gazes up at the sky – anything to avoid meeting their eyes, to hide the emptiness that her fanciful side imagines must be in her own.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: Savanna keeps her likes and dislikes out of her work, as is proper and expected. On her own time, which is the only time she would dream of having opinions of her own, she’s rather fond of – if entirely baffled by – the priests. They’re so sweetly naïve, on the whole, that she can’t help but like them.
Any She Hates? Why?: Again on her own time only, she is rather cool towards thieves. It’s a simple matter of economics – if they steal money from regular folk, that’s less money that the regular folk have to channel into her Guild when they want a job done.
Pets: Savanna keeps a few venomous spiders around her quarters at the Guild. They aren’t pets, precisely – she milks them for the poison, and they are nothing but useful tools that she keeps fed in exchange for their use in her work.
Guild: The guild she belongs to is called Silens Nex, but she – and all others who are a part of it – merely call it Home. Any member of this guild is known as a Silenii.
Theme Song: New Divide, Linkin Park
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song: There is no one particular line – the ambiance, the tone, really the whole song fits. If forced to choose one, it would be:
"And your voice was all I heard/That I get what I deserve…"
Other: Those who know her true name are few and far between. Savanna keeps herself to herself, and as all good Silenii do, she uses a different alias nearly everywhere she goes.

PARANOID: THIEF

User Image
Username: SilentShadowDreamer
Character Name: Fox Ridgeway
Subfaction: Thief
Age: 34
Bio: Most folk, upon learning Fox’s name, believe it’s a nickname he bestowed upon himself when he became a thief, since he is also widely known as The Fox. But it isn’t – his mother actually gave him that name at birth. He was born as the oldest child in a farming family, and his mother was deeply into nature. As in, seriously, seriously into it. When he was about seven, with four siblings after him, she disappeared – presumably to become even closer with nature, as Fox likes to tell it.

And so, mostly in an attempt to do his part to keep his family going, Fox became a thief. Look, it wasn’t like it was his first choice, okay? He tried this and that, but he was seven, eight years old. No one wants to hire an eight-year-old for anything when there are actual responsible adults that can do it. So when they ran low on money, it would miraculously seem to appear as if out of nowhere – thanks to Fox’s talented hands and eye for valuable things.

By the time he was about eighteen, he left the farm behind. Although officially he’s a drifter and a jack-of-all-trades who’ll handle just about anything for a meal and a few dollars, he’s never really developed a taste for legitimate work. Now, at the age of thirty-four, he’s gotten himself a bit of a name, not only as a thief, but as the man that can get it for you. But since he’s a gentleman when he wants to be, when he’s flush of money and has nothing in particular to do with it, he’ll occasionally send the original owners of some of his acquisitions a token of his regard.
Persona: Perhaps it’s the farm upbringing, but the idea of violence in general – and particularly violence against women, which he knows some of his ilk enjoy – is actually fairly distasteful to Fox, although he has been known to do what is distasteful to him when necessary. He’s not quite as blunt or harsh as most thieves, tending to be almost charming when he chooses to be. He’s very much a ladies’ man and enjoys a little harmless flirting, although he tends to put the brakes on should it go too much further – he knows he can’t promise a woman anything, and doesn’t like to break his word. Although he’s careful with his trust and might even be considered slightly paranoid, he presents himself as easygoing and fairly friendly, which he is.
Weapons/Spells: Fox prides himself on not needing weapons of any kind, for the most part. But for the sake of caution, he has two or three blades – too long to be normal daggers, but much too short to be swords – that he carries on the road or when he thinks a job might put him in physical danger.
Mission in Life: To enjoy himself, and to make, beg, borrow or steal enough that he never needs to steal again.
Quirks: He refuses to go to bed with a woman he’s planning to steal from, no matter if he actually wants to or not. He claims it’s an abuse of trust, which considering his profession seems an unusual regard for the niceties. He also likes to keep himself clean, almost scrupulously so.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: He likes most anyone – he’s an easygoing soul.
Any He Hates? Why?: He doesn’t actually hate them, but he finds most Mages too smug for his taste, and Assassins disturb him.
Theme Song (optional): Save You, Kelly Clarkson
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
Save You Pretty well the entire song works quite well.

BLESSED: ELEMENTALIST

FIRE ELEMENTALISTS
FAMILIAR: HELL HOUND

User Image
Username: SilentShadowDreamer
Character Name: Avalon Kidasha
Subfaction: Elementalist
Age: Twenty-one, although she looks far younger – mostly her age is estimated at fifteen or sixteen, tops.
Bio: It should have been obvious from her birth that Avalon was pretty much doomed. The first thing her mother saw after giving birth to the child, after all, was Avalon’s familiar; a horrific sight even if one is expecting him. Coming from a backwater, distant, somewhat inbred hamlet where Elementalists were barely known of, was it any wonder that the uneducated and really rather unintelligent woman thought they’d both been cursed? In her utter terror, she pushed the child away from her, causing the infant to fall to the floor, and that was enough of a ‘threat’ to Avalon that Maetus took it upon himself to completely destroy the poor woman, take the child, and vanish. Avalon does not know – and claims not to care – what happened to her family; Maetus has never told her the truth, and when she thinks of it at all, she assumes she was abandoned.

That was pretty much the story of Avalon’s life after that. Maetus ‘protected’ her from others, keeping her isolated as much as he possibly could while she grew. Anyone who dared get too close was promptly shown – in later years by Avalon as well as Maetus – why everyone else kept their distance. Now they travel alone, and no one knows where they come from or where they are going to; just how Avalon prefers it. Or at least, how she thinks she does. In reality, she simply has no idea how to become close to others, and with good reason: the only constant in her life that she has not destroyed herself is Maetus, and though he may (may being the operative word) sometimes honestly mean well, he’s not the kind of constant anyone should want.
Persona: Avalon has the kind of innocent face and fragile form that naturally makes anyone who sees her want to protect her. Too bad that beneath that air of delicacy lies a twisted, cold and vicious personality that’s nearly as temperamental and unstable as her element. Avalon is impetuous, violent, rash and makes decisions on a dime. Her behaviour towards every living creature is uninterested at best, positively cruel at worst. The kinder emotions are simply unknown to her – the few times she has felt them, she has honestly not recognized them for what they are. Incredibly secretive and ridiculously inclined towards holding grudges, it is easy to make an enemy of Avalon, and very difficult to get on her good side again. She refuses to regret anything she does, which is a shame, because a lot of it is worth regretting.
Weapons/Spells: Trained almost from infancy by Maetus and not afraid to practice on any creature that tries to pry too deeply into her mind, soul or past, Avalon has a mastery over her element practically unknown for an Elementalist of her age. She can create it out of any available source of heat, make it go anywhere, do anything she chooses (so long as she can see the effects, anyway) – so far, at least, it has never once let her down. Of course, pride comes before a fall, and with that constantly in mind, Avalon is still training, still striving to become better; indeed, her magic is her only passion. She also, just in case (can we say overkill?) carries a long staff with a twist-grip in the centre – when it’s twisted, blades pop out of either end, turning it into a sort of double-ended spear.
Mission in Life: If one were to look at all the reckless, impulsive, nearly suicidal things she has done over her short lifetime, they might be tempted to say her mission in life is to get herself killed.
Quirks: Avalon cannot raise her left arm farther than straight out due to a misshapen shoulder joint. Although she has no idea what injured her shoulder, Maetus knows that it comes from the fall off the bed – caused when her mother pushed the newborn Avalon to the floor. Having hit her head in the same accident, she speaks rather slowly and deliberately to ensure that her words come out right; otherwise, she tends to confuse her words without realizing it.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: She tolerates those who stay the hell out of her business, but she doesn’t ‘like’ anyone.
Any She Hates? Why?: Avalon hates most folk, but particularly those who are inquisitive or prying. Just on principle, she insists, although it might be that she’s uncomfortable about the fact that she cannot answer their questions about her past.
Familiar's Name: Maetus
Familiar's Appearance:
User Image With Maetus around, Avalon usually has to sacrifice stealth for brute power – he’s huge, plenty big enough for her to ride on his back if she wanted to. Occasionally, when speed is required, she does.
Theme Song (optional): Riot Girl, Good Charlotte
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
“A hood rat who needs an attitude adjustment[…]A riot girl and she’s taking on the world. Emergency call 911, she’s pissed off at everyone…”
Other: Avalon is a tiny thing, barely five feet tall and maybe weighing a hundred pounds when she’s soaking wet, fully clothed, and carrying her staff; she looks too small to contain the kind of power and violence that she wields with such confidence.

WATER ELEMENTALISTS
FAMILIAR: SEA SNAKE

User Image
Username: SilentShadowDreamer
Character Name: Opheila Soletain
Subfaction: Elementalist
Element: Water
Age: 25
Bio: Opheila was born, literally, in the water. Her mother, always a big swimmer – her husband laughing claimed she was half-fish – went to the ocean to help still the birth pangs that she mistakenly thought were cramps, and ended up giving birth to her daughter under the water. What could have been a very ugly incident was averted by Lunos, who came up to hold the baby out of the water long enough for her weakened mother to grab her.

From the first day, Opheila and her mother spent almost all their time at the beach or in the water. It didn’t take Opheila’s mother long to notice that her baby girl was something special – and, okay, the Sea Snake familiar hanging around was probably a clue. So she raised her daughter carefully, teaching her to love, honor and protect all living things. She wasn’t going to have anyone say she’d raised her blessed child wrong.

Twenty-five years later, it’s those teachings and that loving family that Opheila carries with her, in her heart and in her own actions. She hates to harm any living thing, and will often use her powers in self-defense only as a last resort. Otherwise, she makes her living through rain-making, irrigation, and other such little things as she searches for the one thing that will truly fulfill her.
Persona: Opheila is very sweet and shy generally. Like her element, she tends to be very quiet and smoothed-over most of the time, rarely speaking up if something bothers her. However, when she gets really angry, watch out! Like ocean storms, she’ll blow up and bring down everything in her way before blowing over – and unlike those storms, she takes her time in calming again.
Weapons/Spells: Her masterful hand over water is all she really needs in life, since she’s almost gotten to the point where she can manipulate the moisture in the very air – or in an opponent’s body.
Mission in Life: She just wants the world to be a little bit better when she dies than it was when she came into it. Even just a little bit.
Quirks: When she’s thinking deeply or worried, Opheila tends to wind her hair around her finger or start to braid one of the locks. Generally, she plays with her hair when she’s nervous.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: Opheila likes mostly everyone.
Any She Hates? Why?: Mages, but not because she wants to. She’s more afraid of them than actually hateful towards them – mostly because it seems that most of them hate her for what she was born to be.
Familiar's Name: Lunos, which she’s always telling him is a silly name for a sea snake. Seen here, he’s very protective of his young charge.
Theme Song: Angels on the Moon, Thriving Ivory
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
Everything after "You can tell me all your thoughts/About the stars that fill polluted skies" fits her perfectly, and the whole song’s tone works very nicely.

WIND ELEMENTALISTS
FAMILIAR: GREAT OWL

EARTH ELEMENTALISTS
FAMILIAR: PLUME PORCUPINE

ICE ELEMENTALISTS
FAMILIAR: ICE BEAR

LIGHT ELEMENTALISTS
FAMILIAR: SHIMMER RABBIT

DARKNESS ELEMENTALISTS
FAMILIAR: SHADOW LIZARD

LIGHTNING ELEMENTALISTS
FAMILIAR: LIGHTNING BUG

User Image
Username: Lucky_Tigerr
Character Name: Rinarth Velon
Subfaction: Elementalist
Age: 27
Bio: Rinarth's mother knew she was having an elementalist child as soon as she saw the lightning bug that wouldn't leave her alone. When he was born, the bug wouldn't leave his side. People in his small village learned to be wary of him when he was younger. With Voltera's natural ability in lightning and Rinarth's uncontrolled powers, small sparks weren't uncommon. He struggled to gain control over his unpredictable powers but it was hard. He finally gain control when an incident showed him how much it was needed. He lost his temper and caused the death of one of the villagemen.
Shortly after that, he left the village. No one would come near him anymore, fearing for themselves. He became a wanderer, never really settling somewhere. He's is constantly working on keeping control. His power is at it's worst when he's mad, so he tries not to lose his temper. Despite his grim reason for leaving, Rinarth has come to love wandering - Seeing new things, meeting new people, learning new things.
Persona: A bit erratic, his mind jumps all over the place. Mostly fun and cheerful but he has a temper, though he tries to control it. He looks to the bright side of life, always looking for the silver lining. Rinarth loves learning new things, though he doesn't always pay attention to the entire lesson. He can be a bit scatterbrained at times.
Weapons/Spells: He carries a sword and he knows how to use it, but only at a basic level. Mostly he uses electrical spells.
Mission in Life: To gather the knowledge of the world!.....When he remembers.
Quirks: Rinarth's body and clothes are often charged with left over electricity. It gives him something to work with when starting a spell but it also means people touching him have a chance of being shocked - much like static electricity.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: He pretty much likes everyone, minus what's stated below.
Any He Hates? Why?: There's a bit of tenseness between him and mages, but that's true of most elementalists. And he's a bit wary of losing Voltera to Cardmasters.
Pets: Lightning Bug who usually rides on his shoulder.
Familiar's Name: Voltera, a serious and down to earth creature with very little sense of humor.
Theme Song: Ordinary Day - Great Big Sea
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
It's just an ordinary day, and it's all your state of mind. At the end of the day, you've just got to say, it's alright
Other: Lightning storms are just sources of power to him and he'll often stand in them, absorbing the lightning bolts.

UNIDENTIFIED: NEUTRAL

User Image
Username: Luminol Lights
Character Name: Primrose Burnbrae
Why Are You Neutral?: Being armless makes it quite hard for her to join a Subfaction by conventional standards.
Age: 22
Bio: Primrose had been expected to be a normal baby by all of the doctor's within her home city. Why would she not be? The examinations of the mother all pointed to the same direction: Primrose would be a wonderfully healthy child.

They were wrong.

When Primrose was born, her arms had not developed properly. They were thin and weak in nature, and had broken during the process of her birth. Any handling of them only resulted in more snaps in the fragile bones. In addition to that, it appeared from her complete lack of reaction to the further breaks that she didn't even have proper nerves in her arms. The doctor's suggested amputating the useless limbs and her parent's agreed that it was the best action to take.

So Primrose began her life armless. While many children might have been held back by such things, Primrose quickly adapted to her situation. She grew up much like other girls. Cheerful, charming, and with an almost peculiar knack for memorization. There was one thing though that, no matter how well adapted to life she was, she could not do anything to stop.

Bullying.

For being different, she was ostracized. Children made fun of her, but not just with names. The cruelest thing Primrose can recall was when some children pushed her into a small closet and shut the door. They didn't lock it. All that was needed was to shut it. It took almost an hour for a teacher to find her, crying. It was around this time, at her lowest point, that two things happened to her.

One: She found a friend. It happened, she remembers, on a Friday. She hadn't expected anyone to be at the library near her home due to that. Most people would be taking a well deserved break from studying. Her? She wanted to read a new play. At the library though, she did find someone. Lucia Ringe. They somehow got to talking as the run-ins at the library went on, but it took a long time before she learned about Lucia's eye. Primrose has always suspected that Lucia's sympathy for her as a handicapped character had a lot to do with their friendship, but she would never complain. They were good friends. Thus, it was heart breaking when the other had to go.

Two: She discovered a new sort of magic. At least, it was new in her city. Primrose would very likely be thrilled if she could find someone else who could do what she does. It'd be even better in her eyes if the other was older and could mentor her. For, while she found the magic on her own, learning how it works has been hard. Primrose had discovered at that time that she had a...special gift with words. She could turn simple words into illusionary magic through the manipulation of pitch and tone. Unlike most magic, it didn't require any use from her limbs. All it took was her ability to speak. After a few years, she learned to heighten the power by singing the illusionary spells. This was where her gift of memorization started to come into play as well, considering that alerting the mind with words requires very specific words and intonations.

When Lucia left, Primrose envied her. She wished to travel too, but did not have enough confidence in herself to believe that she would be able to do it without her arms. The thought always struck her that she was better at home where she could be safe. After time though, she was able to build herself up. Now, overflowing with a belief in herself, she has decided to go on her own journey.
Persona: Primrose is, in a word, calm. There is a near serene air to her at all times to the point where it almost causes her to seem dignified. Despite that though, she is not haughty. Rather, there is constantly a small smile on her face. She is a cheerful girl who refuses to allow her disability to make her uncomfortable or shy.
Weapons/Spells: Her illusionary speech magic, though, in a rare fight, it would be best to avoid her strong kicks.
Mission in Life: To find out more about herself, even if it doesn't always make her feel safe.
Quirks: Well, she's armless for one. She keeps her hair short so that it doesn't get in her way, but she really feels like she needs a haircut right about now. Primrose is very flexible, allowing her to use her feet for many situations where others use their hands. Her shirts usually have the sleeves tied a few inches down from her shoulders so that she doesn't get cold, and so that they don't flop around. She often tends to sing to keep herself from feeling lonely when she is by herself.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: She doesn't really feel as though she, an armless girl, is one to judge anyone based on how they were born.
Any She Hates? Why?: Same as the above.
Pets: Poochi. A plush monkey-golem. User Image
Theme Song: Marching On--One Republic
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song: For this dance we'll move with each other. There ain't no other step than one foot in front of the other.
Other: Poochi, her enchanted little plush golem, helps her with her day-to-day life while she travels. His duties include helping her get dressed, brushing her hair, opening doors (when they can be reached by him), helping her go to the restroom, etc. When he is not helping her, he is kept safely asleep in her satchel that is tied around her waist.

UNFORGIVEN: TRAITOR

User Image
Username: Doctor_Whiteface
Character Name: Mavalii
Ex-Subfaction: Mage
Age: 9070
Why Did She Betray Their Faction?: Mavalii was driven away from the Mages for abusing Necrotic Arts. She was the reason that Necromancy was forbidden.
How Did She Survive?: Mavalii was driven away from the Mage Subfaction for the attempted destruction of the other Factions. Leveler heads realized that if the rest of the Factions died then the balance would be wrecked, and the Humans would most likely die out very quickly.
What Does She Do Now?: Mavalii is now a Lich, an undead of incredible power. She is, by all accounts, the last remaining Lich in the human lands. Her power is incomparable and her insanity is boundless.
Persona: Insane
Weapons/Spells: Spells, Necromancy, Immortality*
Mission in Life: What part of 'undead' do you not understand? She has no life anymore.
Quirks: Mavalii is most likely the only remaining extant Lich within the human territories.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: Mavalii enjoys the company of the Vampires and of certain members of the other factions, especially the other undead.
Any She Hates? Why?: She hates the Lycanthropes and the Mage Humans for throwing her out.
Pets: Do'Kurya, a small Dracolich with the ability to fly and breathe necrotic steam.
Other: *As a lich, the only way to permanently kill Mavalii is to find and destroy her phylactery, the canopic jars that contain her preserved innards, within 24 hours of her destruction. If the jars are still extant after 24 hours she revives completely.

Character Name: Bertilde Ernestine
Ex-Subfaction: Warrior
Age: 27
Why Did She Betray Their Faction?: It wasn't really that big of a deal, really it wasn't. Some stupid guy decided he just had to have her as his twenty-second wife, and, well, Bertilde don't play that. So off with his head! It wasn't her fault the idiot just happened to be the Warrior Chief of her clan. And that she "accidentally" slaughtered everyone else who happened to be in a thirty-foot radius.
How Did She Character Survive/Get Away?: Well it's not so hard to sneak away when all the witnesses happen to be in a drunken stupor, although the few who did manage to get in her way found themselves in a stupor of a different kind.
What Does She Do Now?: Mercenary, bounty hunter, enforcer, she'll do pretty much whatever she's paid to do. Unless it involves small children. She may be violent but she does have some morals.
Persona: Like most Warriors, Bertilde is loud, vulgar, and totally incapable of backing down from a challenge no matter how dangerous it may be. With a hair-trigger temper, she's not afraid to punish anyone for a comment/action she perceives as an insult. She enjoys being treated like 'one of the guys.'
Weapons/Spells: Her massive spike-studded club coupled with brute strength and a blatant disregard for the well being of herself and others.
Mission in Life: To remain inebriated...and maybe destroy some stuff in the process. Nuttin' fancy.
Quirks: Her booming laugh and uncanny ability to function without tripping over her hair.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: Whoever's paying her. Although she really doesn't hate any of them.
Any She Hates? Why?: Whoever she's being paid to hate. And vampires. The undead should stay dead.
Theme Song: Goodnight Demonslayer: Voltaire
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
"Goodnight demon slayer, goodnight. Now its time to close your tired eyes. There are devils to slay and dragons to ride. If they see you coming, hell they better hide."

How Did He Character Get Away?: He killed everyone in his way basically, until finally he had another mood swing, at which point he just ran away, very very quickly.
What Does He Do Now?: He goes through life, running from those who know him and what he did, and trying to make amends, along with killing people who tick him off - depending on his mood.
Persona: He is bi-polar, going from light(happy, humorous), to dark(sad, vindictive) in a heartbeat. It even occurs when he is in a battle.
Weapons/Spells: His monster
Mission in Life: Probably somewhere in his mind, he wishes to be free of the curse he suffers from - from the constant changes, the rejection and acceptance, how nothing stays the same.
