Gurren Lagann

A kick-a** action/comedy show making fun of mecha anime. It's about Simon and his 'big brother' Kamina, who, after breaking through their underground prison, fight the 'beastmen' to gain control of the universe.

Oh no! The last five minutes of the first episode, or the last five minutes of the last episode? (I've only seen the first four episodes)

I've only been reading the manga so far, hopefully the manga adaptation of the ending is better.

Yeah, I guess the last five minutes were pretty depressing...but it didn't ruin the series for me. I love Kamina and Viral way too much heart (Lol, that sounds so fangirl-ish...but I guess I am, so it's okay)

I have! I really enjoyed the first four, but the last four were pretty pointless...
My favorite one is definetly the first one, set in medieval Europe biggrin That was so cool.

Yeah that was my favourite as well. The only problem with that one is the song.

You don't like the song? XD I suppose the lyrics are kind of cheesy, but I like it :3

There's a funny story between Gurren Lagann and I...
I haven't seen it, but I own half the series, and my friend gets on me about watching it nearly everyday.

Lol, really? How did that happen? I mean, how does one acquire the DVDs without having seen them?

"Do I detect a hint of jealousy?" Hehehe, well, they aren't DVDs. I got them from a friend who torrented them. He put them on my USB drives, and my laptop doesn't recognize them for some odd, unknown reason. confused "I think you detect a hint of shut your mouth."
