Hanging innocently on the sixth door on the right in the Living Quarters is a small plate of brass, with a small but fragrant rose taped to it. Simply crafted into an ellipse, it is engraved only with the occupant's name: Lythiaren.
Looks can be decieving.
The simplicity and girlish innocence of the door gives way to a room of chaos and complex... order?
The walls, painted in midnight blue, are hung all over with ribbons of silver and gold. Among these ribbons there are two major gaps, hung with small paintings: one of a gold-winged red dragon, the other of a gryphon in the same colours as the remainder of the room. The bed set up against the far wall lies unmade, stacks of paper create small towers in seemingly random places around the room. Even the bookshelf seems to be in a state of chaos: very few volumes are shelved properly, the rest are left horizontally in piles, keeping the rest from falling over.
The window is nowhere to be found; blinds, the same blue as the walls, have been drawn to block out much of the light from outside, making the room seem oddly cavelike. The place is lit only by pillar candles, painted in the same colour scheme as the rest of the room, found burning on almost every available surface.
Looking closely at this chaos, however, order can be found, if in an abstract way. The ribbons are hung to form subtle patterns on the walls. The paintings have some profound meaning and symbolism. Paper stacks are staggered to make a winding path to the bed and desk, much like stones lining a road, if spaced rather far apart. The books on the shelf that are properly placed are those that contain the most important information; the others are only novels and various books on mythical creatures. Even the candles and darkness of the room give the impression of deep and sacred secrets.
The desk seems to be about the only part of the room that is not in a mess. The only things on it are papers and writing implements, as well as a sculpture of a black and white gryphon, a small bottle modelled after a dragon, and letter opener that resembles a double-edged longsword with a barbed tip.
In the desk's chair sits a dark-haired girl dressed in purple, with a clipboard and drawing tools in hand. Or so it seems. A closer look reveals that this girl has two pairs of ears, neither of which are human. The top set is a pair of cat ears, pivoting this way and that to pick up any disturbance in her peaceful room. The second set is a pair of persocom ears, used for normal hearing. A golden cat tail swishes idly from where it dangles off the edge of the chair as the kimono-clad catgirl doodles contentedly in the exact center of her quarters.
Welcome to Lythiaren's Chamber.
