New Security MeasuresI do not have access to all of the email addresses for my mules.
So, if I'm wise, I'll change all my addresses now. Otherwise, due to Gaia's new policy about changing email addresses, I won't be able to update my addresses without having access to the ones I no longer have access to.
Annoying, yes. Worth it? I'm not holding my breath.
Is anyone else in the same boat?Excuse my crabbyness. Elections make me ill. Even on Gaia.

I think I should just clean out my mules now, 'cause if I understand this correctly I won't be able to log onto them ever again very, very soon...

That's how I read it at first (and promptly moved most of my expensive items to safe accounts), but now I believe it means that as long as we have all of our accounts' information, we'll be able to verify, and no lasting harm will be done.
I could be wrong, but that's my understanding.

I think most of mine were made with hotmails, but I think I used disposable e-mails for some of them. DAMMIT. I HAVE 80 ACCOUNTS TO SORT THROUGH.

All of mine are from a reputable site that has yet to fail me (and does not delete accounts <3), and all of them except Shock, Mayor, Little Witch, and Clown has the same name as their accounts, so...
I should probably make new ones for those four.

Ugh zis is terrible! I vill have to make all new emails as well. Most of my accounts were abandoned from my friends and I adopted them as my own. Now I must use new emails...

Also I didn't see anything pertaining to having to know the birthday you entered. Is that a part of it also?

No ... that's my mistake, actually. They're only requiring email verifiction.

Shitshit, I forgot some of my passwords to my email addresses.
I'll be pissed beyond reason if I can't access my Tenchi mules.
EDIT: Turns out I can get to those email addresses, I'm not worried now.

OK so Hotmail disables your accounts and cleans them out if you don't login within 60 days, and then deletes them after a year. So if you use Hotmail like I do, just make sure to login every now and then and you'll be fine. I'm also keeping a memo of which accounts use which emails and what those emails are.

One of my friends in another guild told me this after I started freaking out about having to check/make 80 emails: Quote: Gmail ignores periods in e-mail addresses. An email address addressed to gmail.user@gmail.com goes to gmailuser@gmail.com So would one addressed to g.mailuser@gmail.com. Gaia registers these as different e-mails.
You can just make a Gmail account, then use variations using periods of that same Gmail account for your mules. I just used an excel chart to keep track of each mule's variation of the Gmail account I made for them all. Now I just have to keep track of one email, and update the excel doc I made when I need more mules. ^_^
Gmail doesn't delete accounts for inactivity either!

I use a self-made pattern I've pretty much memorized by heart for my mules and their passwords, so I don't need to worry, yay.
