.. because I'm not voting and I'm a communist. It's a long story and if you want to hear all of it, feel free to ask, just in PMs or something. But it started with the presidential election and her telling me "you're an ignorant a*****e" and escalating to her attacking me and Comrade Honi (my fiance who doesn't use Gaia, just my mule at times, for those who don't know) for our beliefs. I personally have yet to really tell my family about it.. it wouldn't really go over well. -scratches head- but I mean it's obvious that I'm a commie and everyone knows he is. She used the classic "move to Russia" and "communism failed in Russia" attacks. She ended with "Communists have a convoluted perception of reality" and I said "Capitalists have a convoluted perception of MORALS."

Of course I'm only 18 so I'm dumb and stupid and immature and I don't know anything. I mean of course, right?

I would just feel better if you guys would post about any similar stories. Anyone turning their backs on you for this reason. I mean, I expected this, which is why I avoid politics with my family (they're just as stubborn as me, only horrible debaters and make everything personal), my sister DOES work at a bank after all. Oh, and for the disowning me comment she said early on in the conversation "I don't want to be your sister anymore" and I'm not gonna lie, that cut me really ******** deep.

Haha, stupid temper tantrum. More like inability to be socially acceptable in any situation. She's always been the type to put someone else down to make herself feel better. She's one of those mid/late 20's who still drinks and gossips like she's in high school.

See, at first I was like that, just leave her alone. Be like my other two sisters, resent her and hate her for her words, but what good would that do? How could I ever show her that I practice what I preach if I turn my back on her? Why would shunning her from the family do her any good? I'd rather be different from my sisters, but unfortunately that decision is what makes her comment sting. I've done a lot for her, and it goes unnoticed. sweatdrop

You know Poison, for the past four years I've wondered if she'll ever grow up. It's weird to be more mature than my sisters, and I feel so dumb saying that, but it's really true. Which is why I get pissed when they pull the age card. It's bs.
