I want to be a singer and am planning on it, I'm just wondering what your opinion would be if you saw a Canadian Rock/Pop singer with a J-Rock edge (sorta like a mix between Ayumi and Kana.) who dressed in lolita? I'm asking because before I go out and do this I want to make sure it wouldn't offend the majority.
(by this I don't mean being like Gwen Stefani talking about harajuku girls)

I say go for it!
I'm in a metal band, and tho we havn't played live yet, i'm always going to wear a Lolita dress on stage, as my bands all about good vs evil ^^

i'm an "opera" type singer though. But i say go for it! I love seeing singers and bands dressed in Lolita that aren't Japanese, as long as they know what it's all about, its all cool! 3nodding

I'm a singer myself and I say if you're good then go for it. I wear lolita and I sing~ It's a very cute combination. If I were ever to become famous or well known I would wear what I want to wear and be myself. I doubt anyone would be offended much unless you followed Gwen Stefani's roots. Though in Japan depending on how you work things.. some may and some may not. It really all depends but once your famous or somewhat, there will always be someone who will not like you. You don't have to exactly become famous anyway, just perform in little places as a hobbie (and money?) xD Good luck. <3

I'd love to see that! It would be a refreshing image to combat many of the popular singers and their slutty looks. As long as you know what you're doing, it's all good. ^^

how ever you dress dosent matter a s**t at all.
stop worring about it and try and make your music the best, not your clothes.
and singing isent what a band should be based around so make sure your instrumentals are freaking good too.
