Just trying to get some discussion going outside of the newsletter, since no one really reads it yet. This is something I think is necessary to staying civil. As for what to do with the guild, I’m all for merging with the NCS, or at the very least allying with it. I am not sure why we were so at odds with them, if anything perhaps they should be annoyed with us for allowing fascists and Nazis in. I would be in favor of creating a closed group with a means to speak to each other outside of Gaia, ideology checks (no Nazis or trolls), but keep an open and civil thread listed on the front page for questions, answers, and discussion by outsiders about communism. However, as long as someone is communist, socialist, or generally in agreement, I see no problem with letting them in. But perhaps we should agree on what our principles are: an agreed-on litmus test, perhaps. However I abhor the idea of refusing or kicking out those who do not fit my exact ideology or do not agree with me, as there are all sorts of communism and only through discussion and disagreement will our ideas and ourselves evolve.

He's right, Poison. I have no clue what the NCS is, although I've heard about it in the past. I'm not for creating a closed group, but I do think banning Nazi trolls is perfectly ok as long as we have it on our front page that we do not allow trolls and flamers. Discussion and arguments are alright. Being mean is not.

NCS is Neo-communism/Communism/Socialism. We are the oldest Communist guild on Gaia at the moment. We arent as active as we used to be but most of us are in College now. You'll find us all over the ED-P forums in every communist thread.
NCS has been at odds with the GCP since it was created by a bumbling retard, however he has long since passed. NCS aggressivly has tried in the past to absorb guilds that say they are communists. When NCS invaded the GCP online that is by most of its members being NCS the once leader of this guild shut down the guild election system that is similiar to the one in NCS. This is because NCS held a majority within the guild and would have surely voted in a merger to make this a proxy guild.
However we do have in fighting to extremes in NCS but most of us in there have known each other for about 4 years now. The in fighting is mainly between liberal communists and orthodox which you can see the GCP most of the are liberal communists.
GCP Communists have major problems with dealing with orthodox communists xp

By you assuming that I'm completely ignorant and I know nothing of the people I'm going to be working with, of the job that I'm going to have, of the risks involved, and of how to take care of myself. As everyone is well aware, I wrestle. I thought I'd be good at the sport because I could always escape from my sisters, and defense is half the battle right? When I got out onto that mat my junior year and I got my a** completely kicked by all the guys on my team I had to seriously rethink how well a female could fight against a male. I came to the conclusion, that in a typical match or a typical fight, the female would lose. Which is why from then on, when traveling at night, I carried a knife. I know my odds, I know how to get out of bad situations. And not only that, since I've learned how much stronger a guy is, I've adapted. There has been ONE guy that I've wrestled who didn't respect me at the end of the match and/or tell me "you're really strong for a girl" while trying to catch his breath. I can fight. I'd be more afraid of rape in a POW situation, but with my buddies? Not so much.

No, you made a bullshit claim about a group of people that happened to involve a lot of my friends. I wasn't pissed off that you were looking out for my well-being but that you took such a negative stance so quickly. If you hate stereotypes so much, why do you jump to them when they don't apply to you? Are you also of the belief that women in the military are all whores who sleep around? Because that's a pretty lofty rumor that tends to enter the minds of the people who feel that the men are rapists.

I'm sorry, but what gave you any reason to think that I thought that women in the military are whores? What made you think I was saying that every soldier in the military is a rapist and murderer (unless the ones I showed who did do so are your friends)? How was the evidence I showed you buying into stereotypes?

xion-dono Explain to me what you mean by orthodox communist. Orthodox tend to be Stalinists/Maoists or the "right" of the communist party. Some consider Buhkarin to be the "right" but I throw him with NEP. Centralists are Marxists, Marxist-Leninists Ultra Left is Trotsky Supporters etc.

Statistically in a group of people it is a person you know that will rape you not a stranger. Women rape too ..c.c personally Id rather see PMC's then US military men/women. Atleast the PMC's want war constantly to be paid ^.^

Oh I know that it'd be people I know, but that Salon article that she provided was saying things like guys will hang out beside the latrines at night just to jump girls. And don't you think I can identify the creepers? Like in all seriousness, we ALL know THAT guy. And no one goes near THAT guy.
Female to female rape is more than likely very rare. O_o; Plus, I think I'd be able to handle myself. Again.. officer... kicking out powers.
Haha, I know someone who's brother is a mercenary. Just started working for the pentagon. I do believe he was a marine before.
