I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, but it seemed a bit important, so....
As the title says, the Strawberry Panic manga has been discontinued. In Japan, mind - this isn't where the licensing company (Seven Seas in this case) decided to up and out. The series has stopped being made in Japan.

Anyway, yeah. For those of you hoping to get closure in the manga, no dice. The light novels will continue, but that's it until the decide otherwise.

Just scrolling through the Gomanga forums, seems that the reason is that the artist who drew the manga had a breakdown of some sort, so I wouldn't say it was entirely because yaoi fans drown out yuri fans.
Gah >_< !
It's so evil that reading yuri is seen as perverted but reading yaoi is fine >.>

Well, Seven Seas seems to be getting nicer, at any rate. They're going to (finally) start releasing Hayate X Blade. I've been waiting aaaaaages for that one too.

Possibly she'll pick it back up. Hopefully. I haven't checked out Hayate x Blade yet....perhaps I will go and check that out. I'm still waiting on something happy to happen. Rawr...

Oh my god what a shame. I <3 strawberry panic with a passion. I can't believe it is getting canned. Lets hope the artist will continue it again eventualy.

Yeah, hopefully. After all the hype, I went and read Hayate x Blade. It's cutesie, but Hayate is....err....not quite what one would picture the main character of a shoujoai to be. o_O;; I was thinking all "Ikkitousen" or something, but... nope. Not quite at that level just yet...
