The two kingdoms of Erval and Ingkel have decided to wed their children to each other and combine the kingdoms into one realm. This is going to be difficult because it was only recently that they decided to put the two children into a marriage and because they are from two different races.

The to-be king and queen of Erval-Ingkel reside in the new palace on the border of the lands. The palace is named Trell (Ervalan for peace; Ingkellian for future). They have translators near them at all times so that the two can understand each other, potentially. The king and queen of Erval and the king and queen of Ingkel leave these two alone so that they can learn to manage with each other.

The kingdom of Erval

The kingdom of Erval is the 'younger' kingdom. King Sean and Queen Luna offer their son to the daughter of the royal line of Ingkel so that the war between the two kingdoms can cease. They are Serns - a race that is human-like but 'blessed' with wings.

User Image
Their son is named Lucius Curin, Prince of Erval. He has no other siblings. He is twenty-one years old and he does not want to get married, much less to a stuck-up princess from Ingkel.

"ѕσ ¢σя∂ιαℓ, ѕσ яσттєη; кιѕѕ-кιѕѕ, ℓєт'ѕ мєєт ƒσя вяєαкƒαѕт"

Armaments: A claymore; Lucius means business.
Beyond that, a broadsword. You know, of the two-handed variety.
In short, pretty much anything big, metallic, and sharp.

La Vie de l'Homme: Through all the pampering Lucius received as a child, he somehow managed to develop a keen sense of independence, and considers himself above most -- especially above women.
Brought up to be a proper gentleman, Lucius is well-versed in all the niceties and traditions of the court, but his actions, more often than not, don't reflect his views. While he will defer to those he knows to be his "superiors," he considers himself to be above most -- especially above women. Why should a king be forced to share his crown with a member of the lesser sex?
In summary, Lucius Curin is a rather arrogant young man who needs a proverbial slap in the face to knock a bit of sense in him. His goal is to be a better monarch than his father before him, and from his early teens he had begun making plans for his regime. Too bad for him -- marriage wasn't a factor he had included in the equation.
Though a skilled fighter when he keeps a level head, his temper (for which he is notorious) often gets the better of him and he's lost into a blind rage, fueling his determination to win the battle but severely clouding his judgment.

The kingdom of Ingkel

The kingdom of Ingkel is the 'elder' of the two kingdoms but with only a female heir to the throne, the reverend King William and Queen Carrie have to find a marriage for their daughter before they pass on to the next life (considering they are already sixty-three and sixty-on and their race does not live longer than sixty-seven years old). They are Waterkin - human-like beings that have an affinity with the ocean yet have been forced to stay on the land. They typically have tails. Their hair is naturally blue because they are so closely connected to the ocean.
They also wish for the decades-old war between the Ingkel kingdom and the Erval kingdom can stop. Their son, Prince Zander, was killed in this war three years ago, leaving the kingdom's inheritance in question.

User Image
Just like the Prince of Erval, Serenity Revar, the Princess of Ingkel does not want to get married, though she has no choice. She is nineteen, turning twenty right before they wed. She has never met the Prince of Erval, but she'd rather just stay with her family near the ocean.

Serenity's preferred weapon is an elven blade, enchanted to glow a different color depending on the emotions of the holder. Each color gives the sword an extra ability, for example: orange-red=fire burns, blue=ice damage, etc. The sword, when wielded, causes Serenity's eyes to glow the same color as the blade. Also, she carries a dwarven hand crossbow that fires darts that explode on contact.
Serenity has been reckless on many occasions, longs for adventure and danger, and is a bit different than the haughty princesses and nobles that surround her in court. In all honesty, she really doesn't want the royal life at all. Her friends include travelers with tales to tell, rustic veterans and hard workers, and other misunderstood rebels her age that live in modest houses and whose parents treat her like another child in their tight-knit families. She openly and strongly rebels against the marriage arranged for her, and believes that love is a thing the heart chooses and not something your parents arrange for you. Given the choice, she would go and live normally in a cabin on the outskirts of town with one of her adventurous friends.
Serenity has a strong and wild spirit which longs for the dangers of the open road, loyal comrades to fight for (and to fight for her), and enemies to slay.

Guardians/Translators of the young Prince and Princess

User Image
Paz is a large fairy (about five foot two inches tall). She floats around after Serenity to make sure the Princess does not hurt herself (or the Prince), does not run away, can understand the Prince and is always cared for.
She also knows a bit of white magic to protect/support the Prince and the Princess. Her loyalty is to both the Prince and the Princess but she is usually on the Princess' side because she spends time with the Princess daily.
She was asked by the good King William of Ingkel to watch over the Princess, accepted later by the King and Queen of Erval.

Paz prefers her staff - a slender piece of ebony with an opal mounted at the tip. She also as a set of silver daggers with opal and mother of pearl get into the ornately decorated hilt.
She was a good friend of King William for a long time working as a informant in his court. she has been trained in many different things and understands diplomacy above all else. She takes her job very seriously and eventually comes to care greatly for her charges.
Being one of the Fae, she is much older than she looks. She is very small and has a gentle face that was very kind. Her white hair gives her the illusion of age despite that timeless face. People rarely know what to make of her. She usually remains in a human form which makes her seem small and unobtrusive. She does not look like a guard which makes her perfect for any situation.
Her past is mysterious and not even William knows much about her beyond their time together.

Kreeta is of the Dragon race. His tail always shows, but that is an advantage (scares others) and a disadvantage (not being able to hide the fact that he is Dragon) for him. He can fly (not needing wings).
He met Lucius, Prince of Erval, when he was in a forest one day. The Prince was lost and had other beings attacking him. Kreeta, without questioning, protected the Prince, for which Lucius was thankful. Since the Dragon had lost his clan and home, the Prince gave him a place to stay in the palace. He has been the Prince's loyal friend and bodyguard ever since.
Both royal families have accepted Kreeta as a translator/protector of the Prince and the Princess. Though he has more loyalty to the Prince than he does for the Princess, he tries to protect her as well. He swears never to harm the Princess ever.

Kreeta of the Drakomir
Age: Approximately 1500 years
Race: Dragon
Height (human form): 5' 11"
Weight (human form, with tail): 176 lbs.
Disposition: Kreeta is honor- and duty-bound, putting his mission above all other concerns. His tremendous strength and centuries of battle experience have not dulled his wits; he approaches each enemy as if they were his equal. The "strong and silent" stereotype, Kreeta only offers his input when the situation calls for it; but when he does, it is often profound and important. His loyalty to Prince Lucius is unwavering and unquestioned. Even though battle is what Kreeta was born and raised for, he does not enjoy fighting; in fact, he abhors senseless violence and resorts to his fists and tail as the absolutely final resort.
Origin: Kreeta was a child born of the Drakomir clan. Born to a highly respected warrior father, Kreeta was groomed from day one to follow in his father's footsteps, to protect the clan from rivals and humans. After a sheltered life of studying combat in both his draconian and human forms, Kreeta suddenly found himself without a home or purpose when his post as protector of the clan was forcefully taken as his father was toppled by a rival in clansman. Lost and confused, Kreeta merely wandered until the fateful day that he rescued Prince Lucius, and from then on served as the royal bodyguard.

Cupid's Soldier

Feli Zeer ("fay-lee" j-"air"); Soldier E-5-A-07
Having seen the two kingdoms set up this marriage, Cupid and the higher beings decided that they should have someone watching over the two to see if they are at all compatible. The great god Cupid and the great goddess Aphrodite themselves sorted through their ranks of soldiers, finding one soldier worthy of notice. Her name is Feli Zeer, a name she doesn't use while on duty but still remembers.
Appearance: User Image
Bio: Feli (SE5A07) was born to two normal humans a few kingdoms away from Erval and Inkel in the kingdom of Resh. However, she was misshapen at birth. She had a tail (far from normal in the human world) and developed claws when she was born. However, her claws were fully formed and ripped her mother's canal as she was being born, killing her mother in the process. Her father didn't know what to do with the child, seeing she had just killed her mother by accident. He gave her to the doctors as he went to plan his wife's funeral, not caring about the child's future outcome. Almost all of the doctors wanted to kill the child at the moment that the father gave her to them but a nurse stepped in and stopped them, claiming the deformed child as her own. After several years in the woman's care (being home schooled by her though she let the girl wander the woods nearby), Feli came home to find her mother [for that's what she called the nurse] dying on the threshold of the home. "They're looking for you, to kill you. You must run away, my Feli. Live for me..."
After the nurse's death, the girl wandered throughout the kingdoms of the continent, keeping large gloves and large boots on to hide her claws for if anyone ever saw her claws, they would most likely try to kill her. She was ten (a year after the nurse's death) when one of Cupid's soldiers found her cornered by a mad mob of humans in the kingdom of Sith. The soldier realized what was going on and reported directly to Aphrodite and Cupid about the situation. The two deities pitied the mutant girl and took her into their care, giving her long life while she is a soldier, so that she could become a soldier.
Feli has now lived in the care of the soldiers of Cupid for fifty years, though she is still only nineteen in age.
When Cupid and Aphrodite came to Feli (SE5A07) about this mission {to watch over this arrangement}, she shrugged and agreed to it.
Her weapon: She carries around a Olympirius bow, the top of the line for Cupid's Soldiers. She also has her claws, if need be.
Abilities: Having been endowed by Cupid and Aphrodite, she can make anyone fall in love with anyone - the amount of "falling in love" depends on the purity of the yellow gold of her arrowheads, seeing that she carries many different 'levels' of gold (1% pure gold versus 100% pure gold). She also carries around hate-inducing arrows made of black gold - differing levels according to the purity of the gold in the arrowheads just like the yellow golden arrowheads. She rarely uses the black gold arrows, however, because that is usually not part of the job.
She also has the ability to watch over what is going on without being seen, heard from, or touched. If she wanted to, she could sit on a couch right next to the Prince's guard and he (nor anyone else for that matter) wouldn't notice her.
Holding the Olympirius bow in her hand also allows her to listen to whatever is in the building and the ability to walk through walls (though she rarely does the 'walking through walls' bit - too exhausting). If she wants to, though, she can be seen/heard from/touched.
Notes to the other RPers: This character is a way for me to participate but not completely participate in this thread. Aka: it's a way for me to watch over the thread and to RP in it (if it is called for). Also, she's practically a 'goddess/deity' but she's actually just a foot soldier for Cupid/Aphrodite.

The soldier sits on top of the castle, watching over the moving-in of the Prince and the Princess.

"This is going to be interesting," she says, her tail flowing with the wind that is starting to pick up around the turret.

She looks up to the sky saying, "So, you want me to just watch over them, huh?"
"Yes, E-5-A-07. That's all we want you to do."

The female sighs, holding her Olympirius bow close to her, "What disaster or miracle might happened here, none know except the Fates. And yet, my Generals do not implore the Fates to answer what may happen...."
