Today was the Gilberts Day parade, and being in marching band and also in Gilbert we march in it.
Well coming to school Matt and Kelly Tracy were hit by a drunk drver coming to Highland to get on the buses to march in the parade.
Matt recived minor injuries but Kelly serious ones.

We were waiting to start the parade when Mr. Bennett (our director) told us what had happened but and that she was in serious conditions and might now make it.

Only Marching Band kids would get this, we are a family, not just a bunch of nerds. We love and care for each and everyone of the members.

After Mr. Bennett had told us this shocking news he told us to try and get back into parade block and that if we couldnt play, then dont play, just march.

I guess there were just too many of us crying and shocked that he desided that it was best for us to drop out and go back to the school.

When we got to the school, we were told that Kelly had past away.

Kelly, my friend, the girl who always made me laugh and smile and always have a great time.


Because the drunk driver is an illegal immagrant, he will not be but in jail. He will be sent back to New Mexico.




Monday is going to be really hard for everyone.
We had just lost another girl at my school who killed herself.
