If I only were a mod, I would grab, I would snag, I would get the guild a gab If I only were a mod.

Well hey nice to see someone around!
Hey you need to change "a gab" to "to gab"
Any suggestions to get people back in here?

Ye gods, what happened? I know I've been remiss about stopping by, but then I haven't been on in a while either. Could we suggest that the mods pm members and ask if they're still interested? Some people are like moi, who habitually join guilds...ironically most of them are as devoid of activity as this... oh the inhumanity! crying

It kind of sucks, I love the community in guilds, the GD and the other places are just too crowded...

Here I was promising myself and you guys that Id never leave and Id always be around and then I went and disappeared into college for awhile. Its sucking up my life! That, and gaia's changed from what it used to be - not that its bad, but some of the new users really just turn me off with their rudeness and spite.
ANYWAY.
Yes, lets get the guild back up and running again.
Here's the issue:
When we created the guild and as we modified it, we wanted members that were going to contribute meaningfully to the discussions we had, and also contribute to the mag and help out around the guild. Im not sure if those are unrealistic expectations for us, we need to get the active members together and decide what direction we'd like to take the guild in, just so we're all on the same page - and working towards a common goal.
Im all for guild revival though!

Amen to that Renaela. And yeah, college will suck up your life, like a leech taking on a life all it's own; it's the nature of the institution I'm afraid.
As for the changes, it's true, some of them really aren't for the better. I've actually had to start thanking polite newcomers since so many of them are not really all that nice.

Well I'm up for writing articles for the mag again. Not that I was particuarly good. sweatdrop I'm a EMT, not a bachelors in Lit.
However, instead of having a bulletin to a link to where the mag will be, how about just having a series of official posts or something like that.
Maybe once every two weeks, we'll assign the topic to the person to have posted-then the post is left open for discussion untill it's time to come out with the next series in the mag.
Maybe lock the old posts after the new ones are issued?
Discuss.

StationWagon I think we need contests and events and news letters and how tos and link lists, and all that good stuff I think how to's would be rather helpful, a simple explanation of how everything works and all of that stuff, a newsletter is also a good idea. Events would be good, but only if we can get enough people in here to participate in them...which seems to be the real problem.

Agreed. Contests can't save a guild, as sad and tragic as that is, you're so right. I may actually have to make a topic ninja
