This is a story about a group of people who are targeted by assassins just because they're different than everyone else.
Chapter 1: A Never Ending Run
Come on! Faster, I'm almost there! Arson thought as he ran through the hall. His black and silver hair bounced around all over the place as he tried to escape from the thing that was chasing him. His heart pounded with fear of being caught. He turned a corner and then out the doors he ran into an open street. "Hopefully he wouldn't be so foolish as to try and shoot me in the open infront of all these people...."
As he turned back to see his attacker, Arson noticed something; nobody was outside. Arson's eyes widened as he backed away slowly as a gun was pointed at him. Everything seemed so slow, his heart beat slowly, and echoed. The pursuer smiled and then pulled the trigger.
"Ahh!" Arson shouted as he awoke with a terrible sweat. "Another one of those dreams..... They must mean something. Are there going to be even more of them coming after us? How long are we going to be able to keep this up?"
Arson continued to think about this as he went through his morning routine of showering, eating and then going off to roam the streets. I shouldn't have dropped out, I'd at least have something to do right now. Arson thought and kept walking. He walked to his normal place which was the park that almost everyone went to during the day if they went at work or at school. Unfortunately for Arson it was one of those really sunny summer days, and everyone was there at the park. There were a group of girls not much older than him standing and talking, occasionally laughing between themselves. Arson pretended not to notice them but was eavesdropping all the same.
"Who is he? I mean look at him, he thinks he's so cool just coming and going as he pleases, not anyone to restrict him. Does he even have parents?" The first girl said.
Arson stiffened at this statement but kept his cool and listened more.
"Don't you know? That's that kid Arson Patters. His parents died three years ago in an arson, that's why they call him that. We don't know his real name but he mostly keeps to himself since the incident. Its kind of sad really, not to have anyone there for you or any friends to talk to, he's all by himself. Poor guy..." A second girl said, and this triggered an actual response from Arson.
He got up and crossed the ten meters that separated him from the group of gossiping women. He took off his sunglasses and showed his silver eyes, it looked like he was blind, but it was just an accident that caused his eyes to be very sensitive. "I don't need or want your sympathy, I can take care of myself just fine. And the reason they call me Arson is because when they found me at the scene, I couldn't remember my name. So pry all you want, but leave me out of it..." Arson said to them before putting his glasses and walking away.
"How did he even hear us?" The first girl said with a confused expression.
"He's alone, he has to learn to do some things to keep himself alive. He must have picked it up..." The second girl said before grabbing her bag and looking at him. "Guys, I'll catch up with you later, I'm going to figure out whats up with this guy..." She said and ran off after him.
