I've been a member here for a while and never really posted much. Recently I've made up my mind to go into fashion as a career. So far im just learning and researching on my own nothing big and exciting yet.
I've also started using my sewing machine. After making some effed up pillows, im trying to make a skirt, no pattern or anything, just a trial run to see if i can.
So the reason Im posting now is i want to ask if any one has made anything them selfs?
from something simple like re-constructing a top to making your own top from scratch.

I've done some DIY, but never from scratch...
Like I've gotten a sun thingy and sewed in on a green shirt.
Cutting up a shirt to make a different design.
And of course the cliche destroyed my own jeans.
All the basic novice DIY.
Don't have pics though. crying
I just did it by hand though, no fancy machines, though I think it'd be fun to invest in one.
So how are you going about making it your career, details details...
Are you taking design classes or have you gotten hired anywhere?

Im a hair dresser and ive always been really into fashion, im just taking a fashion hist cores atm, nothing really big
