☜ ♥ ☞xxxxxx It was so hot. Recently the days had been warming up, but this was incredible. It was far hotter then she was used to. Luna was puzzled by the change as she dragged her blue colored paws over the drying up grass. Her pink tongue hung out of her mouth as she panted, making her way down the to creek. As she reached the top of a large hill, her half erect, half folded ears perked and her head raised. She licked her lips with her parched tongue. Water. The creek was near! Luna couldn't wait to taste that cool water and maybe catch a meal of fish. Before she knew it, she had taken off, racing to the creak even though it was still in the distance. She didn't stop herself. She just ran as it came closer and the sound more apparent. Finally, she skidded to a stop, with her forepaws in the creak. She lowered her head and began to lap thirstily. Her tail wagged slightly as the water ran down her throat and dampened it once again.
Once Luna had drank deeply, her throat was no longer scratchy and she was more attentive, the young female stepped out of the water and looked into the clear creek. There was a ripple where a fish struggled through shallow water. She reacted instinctively and, with a flash of teeth, she came out of the water with nothing. She had tried this before, but still hadn't succeeded. Over time, she would develop a way to catch fish and hunt properly. Just a little while ago, she had had a very lucky round of hunting and came out with a mouse. That was only once and mouse didn't slow enough for her to catch. She knew that it wouldn't come again until she learned. And until that moment, she would attempt to hunt, and then go to the alley to get a meal.
Luna was disappointed with her lack of skill, but knew she could not improve it right now. Instead, she shook her blue fur, shaking droplets everywhere. She trotted over a flat rock she had used before and put her fore paws on it, preparing to heave herself onto it. But instead, she immediately drew back and stumbled in surprise. The flat, sunbathed rock was hot. Too hot. Luna longed for the gentle warmth of it she had felt in the Spring, but she knew it was not there, so she settled silently on a sunny patch of grass, resting her head on her paws and awaiting something to happen, that being the arrival of someone or her fur drying so she could leave this place and find someone to talk to. Either way, she knew what she wanted and would find it whether it was here or not.

[ooc] No muse, but I'll get some as we keep posting.
The dark form of Vidir could be seen trotting happily towards the shadowy figure of another hound. His gray and blue figure streaked through the bushes and he came out of them with quiet a few cuts, but seemed not to notice. As he came in view of the blue/gray form he slowed his pace down to a leisurely trot and acted as though he wasn’t glad to see somebody else. The only way she might be able to tell he had been running was because he was panting, slightly. Surveying his surroundings he counted a couple of birds which he would chase for fun later on. He had broken his mother’s most important rule, never to stray out of the dark terra. It felt good to be a little rebel it was what he lived for to break each and every rule he came across he was setting new records… He would be known. But now he was grown, anyway. Carefully he lowered his blue form into the water, his light blue eyes never leaving the form of the blue/gray female. He didn’t bother to introduce himself and was acting like the jerk he wasn't normally. By his actions it looked as though he did not want her company and could care less if she left him or staid. Finally Vidir said something,
”Vidir."
Tones were nonchalant and he didn’t care if she answered him or not.

☜ ♥ ☞xxxxxx Luna closed her eyes for a moment, breathing in the aroma of flowers. The flowers would soon fall off of the trees. She only knew because they had already begun to. Maybe they couldn't survive in such hot weather? Vitani exhaled and opened her eyes. They grew wide with shock as she saw a figure in the water that seemed to be ignoring her. At this thought her fur bristled slightly with annoyance and she rolled her eyes. What was it with all these hellhounds? Did they think they were tough or adult-like because they could be rude? Luna settled for that explanation and forced her ruffled fur down. She turned and rested her head in the opposite way of the young brute. She felt like tensing up, but forced herself to relax. She was uncomfortable with his presence, but she didn't make it apparent. Still, as the brute soaked himself, he didn't acknowledge her presence. Luna began to feel angry from such rude actions.
She thought of just tackling him and maybe attempting to half drown him to show him that she was there and was not a hound you could just ignore. But, she didn't want enemies and she didn't want to cause a fight. It would be the all together better and more mature thing to do. Anyways, this beast might just spread her name with a title she didn't want. Her fur almost bristled just at that. She knew she couldn't attack him. She would just have to wait for him to leave after his soak.
He wouldn't leave. How long did it take just to cool down? Her annoyance was building up. This brute needed to get in his place. She lifted her head, getting ready to speak to him even if it did cause a fight. She was losing her temper and her patience was leaving her very quickly. She was just about to open her mouth when... "Vidir," sounded from the male's mouth. Luna was taken aback. Her temper was back with her and she was puzzled by this word. Was he insulting her? Was he talking to himself? Luna suddenly came to realization. Vidir was his name! A smile crept upon Vitani's features as she spoke. "Luna!" Her tone was friendly and welcoming, unlike his. She brought her fore body up so that she was in a sitting position as she awaited his answer, if he had one.

He kept up his job of ignoring the fluffy blue/gray female. Vidir sloshed around in the water happily rearing up on his hind legs only to come down and create waves. He did this numerous times going around and around in the same tight circle. He was certain he was getting her wet for he had completely soaked his short blue pelt. Flowers and such littered the water hiding the little fish that lurked beneath the surface. Vidir drew a breath and spoke softly,
”Here fishy, fish, fishy.”
A small clump of minnow swam upstream towards the gray and blue male who stood stock still. WHOOSH! In an instant he had dipped his whole head in the water jaws agape. He came up with three fish wriggling in his mouth, little fish. He didn’t bother spitting them out and just swallowed his catch whole. He could feel them flopping around on his tongue and slowly slipping down his throat tail’s flopping around in protest.
Vidir only stopped his games to peer up at her when she said her name. Ludacris? Vidir wanted to laugh so badly he swore she could probably see the stupid smirk spread all over his features. He bit his tongue until the bitter metallic liquid poured into his mouth mingling with his salvia to create a very disgusting mixture.
The lopsided smirk remained on his features as he spoke to her.
”So yah name’s Ludacris?”
He attempted to make it seem as though he cared not but he thought Ludacris was the stupidest name ever. Due to the fact he had only been half listening to her he had heard Lu and not the rest, so he thought her name might be Ludacris. It was a reasonably good thought processes for a male.
Sloshing around in the water he slowly moved towards her a bit but he still kept a pretty large gap in between the two of them.

☜ ♥ ☞xxxxxx ooc| I made her have a short temper just for now because I'm roleplaying her as a younger hound than she really is. Luna watched in fascination as his jaws snapped under water and out he came with three fish! She was dumbfounded. The emotion spread across her face as she thought of her pathetic attempts to catch them. She thought he was going to settle down and kill his catch to eat it, but he just swallowed all three of them whole. She shuddered at the thought of something so cold and alive slipping down her throat. Her stomach felt like it had flipped over and she wanted to gag, but she held it back with a disgusted look on her face that she quickly wiped away. Once he was done with his kill, a smirk spread on his face. She was rather taken aback by this. Had he seen her pathetic attempt to catch fish before and was mocking her? At this her fur bristled, but then, he said something that she was not expecting. Ludacris? She was puzzled by this. Was he taunting her? Or had he not listened at all?
Either way, Luna looked at him in confusion which quickly turned to anger and annoyance. Her fur bristled and she let her friendly tone turn annoyed. "Luna! Lu-na! Got it?!" She exclaimed in disbelief at how this brute was acting. Her short temper could easily get her a new enemies here, but she also had the ability to forgive and forget quickly. Even though this brute made her angry, she was till willing to become friends with him if he would try even a bit. Why did she have to do all the work in a friendship? She forced her fur flat and put a less angered expression on, but her annoyance glittered in her black eyes as she looked at the wet hellhound. Her paws itched to go down there, half drown him and leave. But she didn't. And knew she couldn't.

He glared at her with blazing blue eyes. Who would get so upset about a stupid name?
Obviously she would. Vidir just glared at her for the longest time before submerging himself completely in the water sending a wave Luna’s way. He could pronounce her name and as though to prove it he pronounced it syllable for syllable.
”Lu-nee.”
He knew he had pronounced her name wrong and the young male had done it on purpose to step on her temper. As though to show her his little game with he was over Vidir drew himself out of the water and onto the bank his paws dangling over the edge.
”So Luna, you like what you see?”
The flick of his head motioned to all the land before them. Vidir drew in a breath taking in the fragrance of fish and flowers mixed together and the sweet smell of peat, clay and the earth. Bird’s whistled familiar tunes that Rebel knew by heart for he often staid here. Being a longer he had no where to live so he lived where ever he chose and the creek was a nice place.
”You can rule all this but ya’ have to come up and live ‘side me. As my Queen.”
To show he batted some water at her with a paw glancing at the blue/gray female only once the rest of the time his head was held in a royal position and he stared out far into the horizon lost deep within thought. 'Bring on the new horizon and some bloody soil.'

☜ ♥ ☞xxxxxx Luna was about to pronounce her name again as he said it wrong, but he spoke it right as he said something else. Did she like what she saw? Luna stayed silent knowing there was something else to that question. A moment passed and he hadn't said anything so she spoke. "Of course. This is the most peaceful place I know of." She spoke the truth from the bottom of her heart. She loved this place. It's scents were sweet and comforting, and even in the rain, you could take shelter in the brush and watch the water ripple as more water fell into it. It's sites were amazing. The grass was green and the water clear. And it sounds. It's sounds were the best. There were birds and the trickle of the creek and the sound of wind rustling the branches of the trees and sweeping over the grass. This was her favorite place to come.
Luna's folded ears pricked as he went on. Rule it? She never wanted that. She didn't want to rule anything out of fear of people thinking of Impact when they saw her and not Luna. Queen? It was tempting, but she knew that it was just a term and really a male owned a female. She never wanted to be owned. She wanted to live in the light packs and clans as a normal member and be loyal. She knew that she was being owned right there, but in a good way. She wasn't some brute she barley knew's female.
Her thoughts were broken into when a wave splashed onto her, followed by Vidir's pawful that he sent towards her. She got to her feet, shook the water from her coat and padded up to sit beside Vidir. "I don't want to rule. And I'll never be owned by anyone." Again she was honest. She didn't want any part of the alphaship thing or to even rule. She wanted to live her life in peace and without stress.

Blue gaze drifted over the horizion. How pretty it was. The slightly damp moss underneath him felt good. It helped to cool him off. The day wasn't particularly hot but for a blue dog any heat was multiplied by a few degrees. Gaze shifted and fell upon Luna just in time to catch her words. Yes this creek was the most peaceful place Vidir knew of, in neutral, light, and dark terra. The young male shuffled restlessly he liked to be playing and moving but the heat was taking a lot out of him. Luna couldn't have felt much better with her long blue/gray fur. He closed his pools for a moment and thought of his siblings. It was fun with them and without them he was bord. There was no one he felt he could tease. Glancing at Luna he stiffled a giggle, he had teased her but only for a little while. Vidir didn't pick on strangers, for the most part, because they could be related to some dog that was well known and would hunt Vidir down.
"So ya don't want to play?" the blue male cast her an almost hurt glance. He shrugged it off, rolling his black shoulders back as he slowly pushed himself up onto his haunches. Blue eyes followed her as she moved up the bank towards him. As much as he hated to admit it, she was very pretty... And he liked her. Or he had taken a liking to her. The thing was he was from a different Clan. The exact opposite Clan actually, and he knew she knew this too. It wouldn't be too stressful though, just getting from one place to another was the hardest part. He had no dark friends and Runa didn't want to settle down.
"Are you chicken?"

☜ ♥ ☞xxxxxx Luna watched Vidir for a moment, her mood slowly returning to normal. She watched him shuffle about and began to feel less angry at this rude male. She sighed as he looked slightly hurt. She wasn't sure whether he meant the look or not, but she just wasn't in the mood. She slowly dropped her body to the ground so that she could watch the fish that swam and then hang her feet into the water. It was hot, but it wasn't too bad. She didn't care about the heat. As she looked at Vidir he seemed to ave recovered and was now rolling around in the grass. To Luna's surprise, she felt slight admiration for this trait. Shaking her head to clear it, she thought about his rudeness. How could she admire that. She had felt so indignant when he just came over and ignored her completely. Though Luna didn't want to feel admiration for this male, she also didn't want to be angry at him.
Still trying to organize her feelings, he spoke again. Chicken? Yeah, right. Her feelings settled on angry and indignant or mellow and odd. She glared at him and spoke. "Of course I'm not chicken." She forced herself to be playful, the angry feelings floating away. She jumped to her feet and leapt off the bank into a shallow part of the creek. splashing him twice before she looked at him, awaiting the rules and instructions of the game. "So, where do we start?" She asked, showing just how chicken she was. She realized that she had just been angry a moment ago, not in the mood to play. But now, she felt as if she had never been angry. Vidir seemed to have a way of making things go his way with just a few words. Maybe he'd be a good friend after all. He did seem to be warming up to her. And that was good. But was he planning something.

"I'm glad you'e not a chicken, Miss Priss."
Vidir's blue optics hinted amusement, but also care. She agreed to play! That was a good start... And she didn't seem to hate him... Maybe they would meet again. But as of now, playing was just to taunt her. She really wanted to? Ok, then. They were older, and he found it funny, so he let out a laugh. "You've heard of tag, I assume? Well... You're it!" He darted forward and pressed his soft plack nose against her pretty fur. He inhaled just as his nose pressed against her fur and he nearly fainted. She smelled amazing... Like snow, moonlight, and wildflowers.
Snapping out of his daze he bounded upstream a bit, stepping and leaping over rocks. He wagged his tail once, something he wasn't normally caught doing. His long, jagged horns were casting an interesting shadow over the water and he looked at it for a broef moment before turning back to Luna.
Honestly, he'd never played a game before... Obviously he knew what tag was, but that was because he'd seen pups playing before. He'd never experienced true fun and now he cot to share it with this beautiful femme... Somewhere in his mind he felt a spark of something, a brief flicker of what he hoped the future would turn out to be. Sort of what he felt like with Runa...

☜ ♥ ☞xxxxxx Miss Priss, eh? She'd never been called that before, but as long as it was by Vidir and only him, she wouldn't mind. Besides, he'd think of something mroe creative to call her eventually. Well... If they saw each other again, that is. After all, by then she'd be older and wiser. She'd have street-sense, so to speak. It was hard to understand, but she had a strange attraction to him. Where he lingered longer than he should have with his nose, her skin and even fur was lit on fire. She could scent him as he could her, he smelled of salt water and spice and even ash. She answered his tail wag and smirked. "I won't lose, Vidi!" She already had a nickname for him.
Her maw parted ever so slightly and as she stood, she also leaped. It was amazing how fast and strong she was even though she was small. She put an innocent look oin her face as her paws hit the water and she stalked forward, looking like she was seducing him rather than attacking. And she liked it. 'Stop it, Luna! He's from a different clan!' A sudden fire sparked in her eyes and she growled, then lunged forward and bit his tail playfully before running back downstream. "Can you catch me? I'll make you a bet! If you can... We'll spend the rest of the day doing whatever you want and I won't argue!" She said it all in a sing-song voice, knowing it was possible for him to catch her.

"I'll take you up on that offer."
The words were out of his mouth before he could think and a sly grin had snuck it's way up onto his face. He was determined to catch her. Vidir realised now that he shouldn't have stopped running in the first place, that it ould have been easy for the petite femme to catch up to him. 'Idiot,' he thought to himself. What would the do if--no--when he caught her? He'd think of something.
His blue eyes followed her for a few moments more before he bounded down the three-inch high waterfall that was just one of many in this creek. His extremely long limbs allowed him to run with ease and a certainty that normally only a royal heir would have. He was taller and therefore every one of his strides was the equivalent of two of hers, but he had a hard time keeping up still.
In a matter of minutes the constant jumping and dodging in the creek had left him tired when he wasn't even going as fast as he could. Cautiously, he placed all four paws on a large rock and shoved himself off of it. He watched Luna to make sure she wasn't anywhere that she could get hurt before he came crashing down into her. It didn't hurt, the rocks were slippery with wet moss and the water was no more, no less than three inches where he sent them both flying. "I win!"
To his surprise he realze they'd both landed on a soft, moss-covered stone that stretched across the creek. The odd thing was, though, their legs had become oddly tangled and crossed from the fall and the way that Vidi had tackled her. "Now... Why don't we just talk about... our pasts, personalities, likes...?"

☜ ♥ ☞xxxxxx 'No!' The only word that crossed Luna's mind as she could see and feel him nearing her. She was sent into a tangled mess on a rock, the left side of her face was under and the right side of Vidi's was under the water. Her face pulled down into a pout, she thought that he would have suggested something other than talking. Ok, now she knew she felt something for him. He didn't abuse the offer she'd made him and he took it to heart when thinking of a response. Her eyes peered to her muzzle, which was but an inch away from his. She pulled it back a little, watching him closely.
"Um... Ok... My mother died when I was a month old and my pa raised me, but he was killed in some stuipd fight a few months ago. I just turned one three days ago and I'm from the light Clan. I'm... pretty cranky when I'm tired, give everyone quite a few chances, like to daydream, I do everything the wrong way but it turns out correct... What else? And what about you?"
She stuck out a paw to prod him right in the chest. What really surprised her was how close they were... And neither of them cared to move. Luna's heart was racing a mile a minute and she had no need to calm it. Now, this close to him, she could feel his warm breath on her. She could smell him... And it felt so right.

"Interesting..."
His ears perked in interest even though all he could think about was her scent. It was so, so intoxicating... Was this how it happened to all hounds, or was it just him? He hated being the lovestruck male that couldn't resist being around one certain femme. He breathed out a long sigh and then moved his muzzle back so they were the same distance apart again. He couldn't help it... She was perfect to him.
"As you know, I am Vidir. I used to be in love with a femme named Runa, but she didn't choose to settle down... I think my love has now changed though. Or... at least the object of my affections is very, very different. I grew up alone and learned everything by myself. I enjoy hunting and talking to you. Being rude is just a way to have fun I suppose. Now... What do you think of me, Lu?"
His voice sunk down to a low, seductive tone, that could have matched her slink towards him earlier. He placed his paw on her chest as well. To a passerby it might have looked like they were trying to keep each other away, but it was the exact opposite.

☜ ♥ ☞xxxxxx 'Breathe, Luna... Just breathe...' She told herself this repeatedly, trying to calm herself now that he'd asked her that question. Then the statement that he loved someone else now... it obviously wasn't her, was it? She let out a soft sigh and closed her eyes. The day was quickly fading to night, for stars were coming out now. And he gave her a nickname? Cool.
"I think that you are insane, arrogant, from a different Clan, and downright odd... But at the same time I think that you're great."
She bent her head forward enough so that she could lick his muzzle. "But as of now, why don't we get out of this water and go to sleep? Unless you have to make it back to your Clan..." She managed to wiggle calmly out of the trap set by his legs and she stood up, shaking at the same time. Her short legs trotted up the slope and she immediately collapsed onto a large plume of grass. She curled up into a small ball, shutting her eyes but listening for Vidi.
