Hey, guys! We had to do persuasive speeches for English class. My speech was on the hypocrisy of the liberals. Here it is:

The Invisible Enemy: The Truth About The Liberal Doctrine
These days, being open-minded and liberal is the hip new trend. Exploring new ideas and being open to the opinions of others is the popular view. Now, it is good to be open to things because you might learn something you never knew and you grow in wisdom from that. However, our society has gone way too far to push this agenda. You see, we live in an era where we don’t want to cause conflict, so we open our minds and even change our views so that we can avoid conflict and debate. While getting into fights over opinions isn’t good, changing your view so you’ll be popular doesn’t do much good either. Unfortunately, this is all part of something I like to call The Liberal Doctrine.
The Liberal Doctrine is not a written document, but it is an agenda, an invisible enemy. The Liberal Doctrine is anything goes. Be open-minded to everything except morality and religion, there is nothing wrong with being who you are, unless you’re a Christian, a conservative or a patriot, and being any or even all three is "offensive" to people who aren’t. Believe everything you hear unless it’s anything moral, logical or the truth. The most important rule of the Liberal Doctrine is never think for yourself.
I will give you an example of the Liberal Doctrine: A gay author wrote a book called The King and The King. Massachusetts has allowed this controversial book to be read in preschool, and there has never been an attempt to ban it, but there have been many attempts to ban Bridge to Terabitha, which is a book with a Christian message. It seems it is “dangerous” to introduce innocent children to Christian ideology, but it is “healthy” to expose them to homosexuality. It sounds like a double standard. My theory is what qualifies you to teach one but not the other?
Another example would be that we have to embrace cultural diversity, and in the process we are losing our own American identity. We are not European, we are American. Whatever happened to baseball, hot dogs, and apple pie? If you embrace these things, you are not “sensitive” to the other cultures around you. My argument is I can be sensitive, but I can still be red, white, and blue.
What really bothers me is political correctness. As nice as it sounds, in a way it seems like an attack on the First Amendment. Instead of saying “black,” we have to say African-American. Instead of saying “oriental,” we have to say Asian-American. I have friends who are from all walks of life and they don’t have a problem with it, but I’m afraid that one day I’m going to wake up and fate is going to pull a complete M. Night Shyamalan on me and the terminology is going to change. What if I don’t get the memo? I just can’t keep up! My point is how is the word “black” offensive? Next thing you know, whites, who are actually technically tan, will be called “Caucasian-Americans,” an even longer word to say! It’s just too much pressure.
One of my heroes, President Kennedy, said in his Inauguration speech, “The world is very different now, for man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life.” Tell me why it’s okay to kill an unborn child, but God forbid we forget to save the whales? Tell me why we were so freaked out about global warming that we forgot to save our economy? Tell me why in an effort to appease one man who was offended by the word “God” in the Pledge of Allegiance society was ready to ignore the millions who would be offended by removing it? Tell me why we are morally offended by brutal dictators around the world who commit genocide, but we allow brutally violent gangs to rule the streets of our largest cities?
The ultimate irony is that the Liberal Doctrine promotes challenging the status quo, as long as you don’t challenge their liberal ideology. The liberals want to create a society where anything goes, truth doesn’t exist, there’s no right from wrong, just whatever makes you feel good. Interestingly enough, the fall of the Roman Empire was the Liberal Doctrine, which is exactly where our society is headed unless you do something about it.
If you believe there’s something wrong with this society, if there is something you are truly passionate about even if it’s not the popular or politically correct view, fear not. Don’t undermine or change your views for public opinion. Think for yourself. Stand your ground. The Liberal Doctrine is meant to stop us from achieving our goals, but by standing up for our beliefs, we can challenge the Liberal Doctrine. If you want to have an AIDS awareness rally, go for it. If you want to start a pro-life club, start gathering members. If you want to combat poverty or indifference, let no one stop you. If you support something, even if it isn’t hip or cool, don’t stay silent. Make your support loud and clear. Be not afraid to live out loud because friends come and go, but in the end it all comes down to where you stand, not who you stand next to at the lunch line.
My final message is if you want to make a difference, stand up and fight because it starts with one to change us all.

I approve this message!

Your points are very valid. I can definitely see that happening today.

That was awesome. I loved it.
With a little bit of editing(just adding a few words where they are missing), you should submit this to get it published. It is quite impressive, and tells it like it is. Send it to the GOP headquarters, or your local party office.
