She crawled through darkness howling and writhing in pain as the cold ground tore her nails to shreds. Clawing forward, each motion and agony. Waves coursing through her body, the cause of constant suffering. Still she crawled. She crawled towards nothing. Nothing was before her. Absolutely nothing. She still crawled. Still screaming. She could no longer see. Her hands and knees bleeding. She still crawled. Still screaming. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing before her. No reason to crawl. No reason. No reason. She still crawled. Still screaming. She briefly thought to turn around, to go back, back where there was not nothing. Her thought were drowned out by her screams as she continued to crawl.

It was the color of the sky that made the moment perfect. Standing alone, on the top of a hill, looking down at the town that had always been home, some of the lights already coming on in the dusk, with the sun already sunk out of sight, but the sky not yet dark. That beautiful color of dark blue, fading to lighter blue, fading to brilliant orange and pink striking off the last few clouds. In that moment, life was peace, content, and perfection.
'Kay, Leah, you worte something so morbid and depressing it made ME want to be optimistic. Good job.

Okay, wow, just thought I'd share, this is my six hundred sixty-sixth day on Gaia. Felt you should know the epic news.
