So I have a really really good feeling about this year, I cannot wait to see how it all plays out this is gonna be my year I know it. Even accidentally locking my keys in my car this morning at brueggers bagels coudn't spoil my mood. I am HAPPY!! blaugh

All I can see from this message is how optimistic you are. Please TH, never give that up. I hate how people like you can go around like that...all because I'm jealous of it. Don't just assume it's going to be your year and watch it play out, force it to be. The world needs more people like you who can look out the window and see what's good about the world through a cracked window and misserable weather.
...God I wish I had that type of vitality...

I spent a good part of last year dragging myself through life so I partly understand what you're going through. My personal advice is to wait, right now you're main focus should be getting to the end of the day, focus on that. I can't promise happy times on the immediate horizon, but one day you'll wake up and you'll be like wow... look at all the balloons of happiness that appeared overnight.
I really don't know why I used balloons to signify happiness but it is early so I'm going to cut myself some slack.

No, I'm not dragging myself through anything. It's just like I said, I've been happy for a while now. It's the fact that all my friends are pushing me into the dirt, no one ever wants to be a friend, and night after night something tries to do me away. It's like God Himself hates me or something...

I would say its moreso that your friends aren't really friends

I'm not usually extremely happy but I try to be as positive as possible because if I'm not positive then nothing good will come my way. You make your future and if you always expect bad things to happen then that is what will happen. I think life is too short to be negative.

Personally I believe it is necessary to have a balance of smiles and cries. Sometimes I feel like my world is spinning and I'm only willing to drag my way through it, sometimes I feel like the earth is mine.
The way I see it, its the natural order of things: you cannot have good without bad because good is relative to bad, just like you can't really know what happiness is until you've reached a point your absolutely miserable. Take for example the majority of people in this country, we take freedom for granted we think nothing of logging onto the internet and voicing our opinions, however a lot of people around the world have never had the freedom to disagree and a greater number never will. People who have come here from other countries have expressed to me how appalled they are that someone can walk down the street and think nothing of the blood that has been shed to build our free society.
Getting back to happiness, how can you really look forward to smiling if you've never cried?
To me the key to life is not: always being happy, to me the key to life realizing that everything you feel comes from within, sometimes you cannot face up and look life in the eyes, but it is not an external event that will change your happiness. One morning you just wake up and feel great.
