I almost died last night.
It was about 2:00 AM, I was dropping my friend Kenney back off home in Bowie... like a half hour away from my house.
I drove home by myself.
I fell asleep at the wheel.
I opened my eyes in time to see my car veering into the grass, and jerked my wheel to the right.
The next few seconds were a blur of crashing, skidding, and screaming.
I awoke to find myself hanging upside down, suspended by my seatbelt.
I unbuckled, falling to the roof onto small bits of cut glass. I saw light coming from the back of my car, a street light on the side of the highway.
The back windshield was blown out, so I crawled out onto the grass behind the car and moved to the front to see the whole thing.
My car, my 1999 Pontiac Sunfire ... flipped on its roof.
There was a cop nearby who came to see if I was okay, then a fire truck and ambulance.
They loaded me on the ambulance and took me to the hospital.
I was released with a jammed index finger, and a bruised/swollen spot on the right side of my face, where I must have hit the passenger seat or something.
My car is totaled. I have no car.
My insurance is going to skyrocket. I lost my glasses.
But I'm lucky to be alive.

Do you think you can afford to get another car?
And just out of curiosity, what colour was your Sunfire?

Chazzzzz It was like a jungle green. Like ~> mrgreen Ah! I've seen Sunfires that colour. I've oddly gotten Sunfire-curious since I started working. They seem to be everywhere.

Now what should I get?
Keep in mind, I'm on a limited budget and just looking for used cars.
I've thought about a Honda Civic, as the mileage is just ungodly wonderful.
Any suggestions?

The grille-work can look like his buck teeth, and your headlights can be blue, with one aiming in a slightly different direction than the other. xd But in all seriousness, get something with good mileage. With the gas prices as they are, screw looking for a nice car, and instead go for a cheap one that doesn't guzzle the gas. I'd gladly drive a rust-bucket that ran properly on little gas than a fancy car that cost me $200 a week to fill up. I know little about cars, so I can't even begin to suggest specific makes. If a Civic is good on the gas, there's my suggestion.
