Since my account was mysteriously locked up.
Well, I forgot my password and I don't remember the email I used for it and I haven't called that customer service number yet. To be honest, I don't know how I would prove that it is my account.
It bums me out cause I had items from like 04, and one from 03.
But the blessing in it all is I have a new found enjoyment of gaia because now I actually have to TRY to get items instead of everything being at my whim.
It's reignited my passion for fashion too trying to make a nice avatar on a budget.
So I have a challenge for you guys-to make an avatar under 3000 gold!
I'd like to see what you come up with.
The avatar I have active at this moment only cost 1475 gold. ((excluding hair))

That sucks, but actually I was a bit curious about that (yeah I'm nosy). And actually I know how that is, after all I have a small collection of mule accounts so I just keep a document with all my passes and emails account on them so I don't have to keep starting over.
Still it's good that you've reconnected with style on a budget, after all, it's not easy when you really have nothing to work with except what they give you as start up gear. However, it's tragic that you lost your 04 and 05 items, and with prices being what they are, it might be worth the trouble to try to get the account unlocked. These things happen after all.

Weird thing is, I'm pretty sure I'm putting the right password so I don't get why I can't get in.
My first thought was hacker-but my most valuable item, the seal slippers-going for millions in the marketplace-still remain on my avatar's feetsies!!
So...I dunno. And I don't know what they're going to ask me or if I can prove the account belongs to me.

They might have a heart. A lot of moderators don't but they might be able to help you out (yes I'm an undercover optimist).

That's true. I'm trying to gather courage to do it. Or to find a way to convince a service worker that it is me that owns the account because as it stands I don't know of anything that can prove it. Not all is lost though, in trying to find the address I used I found an old mule I had which I had given a pair of my seal slippers, and my little sister gave me a Coco. heart
Hey station wagon that's pretty niftly.
Hey..were you the mysterious benefactor that gave me this dress?

I've noticed things are costing more on gaia lately.
It started happening once the gaia cash cards were introduced I'm convinced. When items began to be buyable. Which then through the marketplace-gold was buyable in a sense.
So nowadays 3000 is a much harder goal than it would seem 2 years ago.
Hey in July 03, the Halo was only 2700 going in the exchange forum. ((there was no marketplace))

I have the economic theory that it got this way when gold began to be somewhat buyable through the cash shop via selling those items on the marketplace.
Buying one of those evolving items seems to be an instant 100K!

To be honest I never liked the idea for paying for anything on this site.
The Donation items were okay, but now the whole range of buyable items, and making it so all items in the stores were buyable? I dunno.

I don't really like the idea that certain items can only be bought with cash, since I'm not one to actually use cash at all. I don't know, I left for like a year or two and when I got back it was all of this cash card nonsense but what's a girl to do?
But I agree, when the cash cards came out is when everything seemed to have gone haywire.
